She shot my dad, she shot my dad, Jesus, Natalie shot my dad, Natalie is mean, Natalie killed my dad... Tyler roared

Jesus Christ... that was all Rita could say, she covered her face with palm and fell on the couch weeping silently

What do we do? She asked raising her head up

Tyler stared at her and shook his head "My dad" he murmured

Natalie is heartless.... She said breathing out

Natalie killed my dad! My dad! No,no,no.... Tyler screamed

Tyler calm down,we will sort this out, Natalie won't go scot free... Said Rita holding Tyler

My dad is gone!!! He screamed again

Tyler please calm down,we will travel to the village... Rita told him

Tyler raised his head,tears fell freely from his eyes as he kept staring at Rita
He hissed and shook his head

Tyler... Rita called

Tyler turned and looked at her

I think I'm in a labour, my waist is on fire... She cried

Your waist is on fire? You're in labour? How can you be in labour when my father is lying lifeless in the village... Tyler yelled

Rita could sense the anger and heartbreak in his voice, she packed her things and left for the hospital

Tyler drove down to the village,he got to his family house nobody was there
He dialed Natalie's number

Her parents should be happy right now... Said Natalie

Her mum called her the other day ranting that she snatched someone's husband... Tyler mocked

How's my baby girl doing? Asked Tyler placing his ear on Natalie's stomach

Tyler's phone rang he didn't hesitate to pick the call

Tyler you can't just call your wife, called to let you know that I just birthed a baby boy... She said and ended the call

Congratulations to her... Natalie commented

Tyler smiled

Our papers are ready.... Natalie told him

Wow so we will be leaving this country soon...he replied smiling

Tyler shrugged his shoulders and went inside,he entered the master's bedroom and sat on the bed
He dialed Rita's number

Chapter 4

Rita dressed up for work, she was picked up her phone which has been ringing for minutes now
She looked at the screen and hissed

"Hello mama" she greeted

Rita where are you? Rita where did you run to? Where did you run to with someone's husband eh husband snatcher...Her mum shouted over the phone

I am never a husband snatcher, you wanted me to get married and now you're complaining again..Rita replied brushing her hair

You snatched someone's husband and call that marriage? You're really a big disgrace Rita... said her mum

It's fine, you wanted me to get married and now I'm married, mama please let me be... she replied and ended the call

Who was that baby? Asked Tyler

My mum, that woman doesn't know what she wants,I'm running late.. she said

I think we should go and see your parents...He suggested

Why? I can't even go close to that village now that I'm pregnant... She responded putting on her wrist watch

It doesn't matter...he said

Rita turned and looked at him, she sat down on the bed with her palm on her cheek

You want us to go to the village after what we did to Natalie? C'mon baby this isn't right
She might arrest us

She won't do anything.... who's Natalie? Tyler thundered

You can go Tyler,I don't want to go to jail... she said not smiling

She rubbed her protuded tummy and then tapped her mom

Mum why don't we arrest Tyler's parents or get them kidnapped... She suggested

Why?her mum questioned removing her glasses

Mum if we should get them arrested Tyler must come out from his hiding place... she said

You can't just get Tyler's parents arrested or kidnapped,they don't have a....

Mum can you please support me for once? She interrupted

Go and talk to your father about it... said her mum as she Continued with her reading

Natalie looked at her for a while, she stood up and went inside
Her dad sat in the parlour watching his usual evening programme

Dad can I discuss something important with you? She asked sitting beside him

Go ahead Natalie...he urged

Dad why don't we get Tyler's parents arrested or kidnapped?

Arrested or kidnapped? What do you mean? why that? Her dad queried

Because I want Tyler to pay for the pains she caused me,if Tyler's parents should get arrested or kidnapped Tyler must come out of his hiding place... Suggested Natalie

Natalie blushed..."Yes dad,we should just get them kidnapped" she responded smiling

Tyler's parents were busy in their apartment, Tyler's mum was preparing breakfast while her husband was cleaning the parlour
They were expecting to of their children that morning

A car drove in and they rushed out thinking it was their children, Tyler's parents were handcuffed and were taken to a dungeon where they were starved for days

"Are you going to call Tyler right now"? Natalie asked throwing a cell phone at them

Yes ma'am...they responded

Call him now, tell him you too have been kidnapped,he should rush home right or else you two are going to be killed in the next two hours... Said Natalie

You mean you will kill us? Tyler's mum asked looking at her

Sure!!! She replied

Tyler's phone rang on the couch where Rita was sitting, she picked the call

Tyler we have been kidnapped... His mum cried

Rita was speechless, she ran upstairs and handed the phone to Tyler

Mum please calm down and talk to me...he said

Tyler we are going to be killed in the next two hours if you don't show up... His mum said crying

Where are you mum? He asked

I don't know Tyler, your father and I were kidnapped two days ago and we are going to killed in the next two hours.... She said

Tyler ended the call and dialed Natalie's number

"Natalie you better stop this nonsense you're doing,you better stop it because it won't bring me back to the village, you're just too old for all this, can't you just get married to another man and leave me alone"? Tyler screamed

Natalie pointed a gun at Tyler's dad, she shot him and he died instantly
Tyler screamed loudly from the phone and ended the call

What about Harrison, you once told me you were engaged to him... what happened? Natalie asked the depressed Rita

He engaged me Natalie but I broke up with him,I caught him cheating.... She stated

He was cheating on you? Natalie asked

Yes, Natalie I'm loosing it..I don't know why my parents are doing this to me...Rita cried

Stop crying Rita,I don't want you to fall sick... Natalie told her

Rita picked up her phone which was lying beside her, she looked at the screen and hissed loudly

Tyler????? Natalie shouted immediately she saw the caller's name

Not your Tyler please... Replied Rita feeling dizzy

Which other Tyler? Natalie asked fuming

Our classmate in secondary school... said Rita

Natalie let out a deep breath and sighed

Wetin I wan do with your man? Rita said putting down her head

Natalie didn't respond, she wore her slippers and left the room

Everyone was preparing for Natalie's wedding that morning,Rita was nowhere to be found
Natalie became scared thinking something bad might have happened to her
She called her several times but she didn't pick

Natalie excused herself from her friends and rushed to inform Tyler about Rita's disappearance but Tyler was nowhere to be found

He left after receiving a call... said one of his friends

He didn't tell you where he was heading to? Natalie asked as she was going nuts already

He didn't,he left after receiving a call... Tyler's friend replied

Natalie fainted 😂

Tyler's friends rushed her to the hospital immediately and the wedding was cancelled

Tyler and Rita were sweating under the hot sun, Tyler held Rita's hand as they waved down a taxi

Natalie must be going nuts now,I feel for her...Rita said

I can't wait to make babies with you...Stared Rita

They got to their apartment very late at night, Rita was stressed out already
She lay sprawled on the floor snoring like someone who has fallen from a palm tree

Natalie lay on the hospital bed weeping as her parents and friends sat beside her
Consoling her and praying that Tyler comes back as soon as possible

Tyler ran away with my friend... Natalie cried

Rita stared at her for a while and smiled..

Chapter 1

Rita sat on the bench patiently waiting for her parents to come back from the farm
She stood up from the bench and decided to walk round the compound looking at the flowers and other cooking utensils which was lying recklessly on the floor

She blinked twice and picked up a dirty invitation card which was lying on the floor
The invitation card was very dirty, she managed to clean it with the tip of her fingers then went back to sit on the beach

She was about opening the invitation card when her parents entered the compound
She helped her mum take down the heavy basket on her head which was filled with tubers of yam and cocoyam

When did you come back? her mum Anastasia asked dusting her hair

Not quite long mama, since morning you and papa went to farm,stop staying long whenever you go to the farm please... She replied

Have you forgotten that.....

I didn't forget anything mama... she interrupted going to greet her dad who was washing the farm tools

Good afternoon sir... she greeted sitting close to him

Rita!He called still washing his cutlass

Papa... she answered

Welcome, when did you come back and how's everyone?He questioned

Papa everyone is fine,they sent their regards.. she responded

I left it in the farm again, please rush and get it

Rita walked briskly to the farm, she saw the key where it was hunged
She collected it and left immediately,it was getting dark already

Former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (rtd), has dismissed insinuations that the military ruler died after eating an apple from his concubines.
Giving a detailed account on how Abacha died, Al-Mustapha said contrary to insinuations, the sudden collapse of the health system of Abacha started on June 7, 1998, right from the Abuja International Airport, immediately after one of the security personnel, who accompanied President Yasser Arafat of Palestine shook hands with him. Giving account of the incident, the former CSO to the Abacha said: “Shortly after the hand shake, I noticed the change in the countenance of the late Commander-in-Chief, and I immediately informed the Aide-de-Camp, Lt. Col. Abdallah, who advised that we keep a close watch on him. "Later in the evening of June 8, 1998, around 6 p.m., his doctor came around and administered an injection to stabilise him. He was advised to have a short rest.
“Happily enough, by 9p.m., he was bouncing and receiving visitors until much later when General Jeremiah Useni, the then minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), came to see him. He was fond of the Head of State. They were very good friends. They stayed and chatted together till about 3.35a.m.” Al-Mustapha continued: “A friend of the house was with me in my office and as he was bidding me farewell, he came back to inform me that the FCT Minister, Useni, was out of the Head of State’s Guest House within the Villa. I then decided to inform the ADC and other security guards that I would be on my way home to prepare for the early morning event at the International Conference Centre. “At about 5 a.m., the security guards ran to my quarters to inform me that Abacha was very unstable. At first, I thought it was a coup attempt. Immediately I prepared myself fully for any eventuality. “As an intelligence officer and the Chief Security Officer to the Head of State for that matter, I devised some means of diverting the attention of the security boys from my escape route by asking my wife to continue chatting with them at the door. She was in the house while the boys were outside. From there, I got to the Guest House of the Head of State before them. “When I got to the bedside of the Head of State, he was already gasping. Ordinarily, I could not just touch him. It was not allowed in our job. But under the situation, I knelt close to him and shouted: ‘General Sani Abacha, Sir, please grant me permission to touch and carry you.I again knocked at the stool beside the bed and shouted in the same manner, yet he did not respond. I then realised that there was a danger. I immediately called the Head of State’s personal physician, Dr. Wali, who arrived in the place in eight minutes from his house.He immediately gave oga (Abacha) two doses of injection, one at the heart and another close to his neck. This did not work apparently as the Head of State had turned very cold.“He then told me that the Head of State was dead, and that nothing could be done after all. So I asked the personal physician to remain with the dead body while I dashed home to be fully prepared for the problems that might arise from the incident.As soon as I informed my wife, she collapsed and burst into tears. I secured my house and ran back to where Abacha was. At that point, the Aide-de-Camp had been contacted by me, and we decided that great caution must be taken in handling the grave situation.”He added: “Again, I must reiterate that the issue of my boss dying on women was a great lie just as the insinuation that Abacha ate and died of poisoned apple was equally a wicked lie.It was at this point that I used our special communication gadgets to diplomatically invite the Service Chiefs, military governors and some few elements purportedly to a meeting with the Head of State by 9 a.m. at the Council Chamber“That completed, I also decided to talk to some former Nigerian leaders to inform them that Abacha would like to meet them by 9 a.m.”Elaborating further, Al-Mustapha said: “The situation became charged when one of the Service Chiefs, Lieutenant General Ishaya Rizi Bamaiyi (rtd),who pretended to be with us, suggested he be made the new Head of State after we had quietly informed him of the death of Abacha. He even suggested we should allow him access to Chief MKO Abiola. “We smelt a rat, and other heads of security agencies, on hearing this, advised I move Abiola to a safer place. I managed to do this in spite of the fact that I had been terribly overwhelmed with the crisis at hand. “But then, when some junior officers over heard the suggestion of one of the Service Chiefs earlier mentioned, it was suggested to me that we should finish all the members of the Provisional Ruling Council and give the public an excuse that there was a meeting of the PRC during which a shoot-out occurred between some members of the Provisional Ruling Council and the body guards to the Head of State. “When I sensed that we would be contending with far more delicate issues than the one on ground, I talked to Generals Buba Marwa and Ibrahim Sabo (all retired), who both promptly advised us-the junior officers- against any bloodshed. They advised we contact General Ibrahim Babangida, who equally advised against any bloodshed, but that we should support the most senior officer in the Provisional Ruling Council (PRC) to be the new Head of State “Since the words of our elders are words of wisdom, we agreed to support General Jeremiah Useni. Along the line, Bamaiyi lampooned me, saying: ‘Can’t you put two and two together to be four? Has it not occurred to you that Useni, who was the last man with the Head of State, might have poisoned him, knowing well that he was the most senior officer in the PRC?”
