Hi there!

Conversations with Tosin School Tour is back 💃💃
We apologize for the long silence. This was not an intentional act, we had little challenges here and there which have been resolved.
CWT secondary school Tour was supposed to span from February - March, but as a result of the brevity of the second term, most schools requested that we come in, during third term. To this end, we will be wrapping up in the month of June and as always, I need your support to pull this through.

The goal is empower the mind, inspire the hearts of young teens toward a greater future. How do we do this? We engage with them by sharing our stories of hurdles, academic excellence, social relations, e.t.c. We aim to put them on the right track where they can make informed decisions. We hope to inspire them to become change agents and solution providers – exactly what the world needs.

We intend to create a safe space for these kids to share their struggles whilst we proffer solutions to them.
The goal is to empower the minds of the younger generation through thought provoking Conversations.
Once, the mind is open to possibilities, an individual can develop the resilience to navigate life challenges.

The Vision has not changed, "To impact Lives, transforming individuals into catalysts of change, problem solvers and gems to their generation through thought provoking Conversations ".

Join me on this journey, together, let's empower young minds, one conversation at a time.

Three wholesome weeks of doing what I love and know how to do best!

From engaging with secondary school students on critical thinking and philosophy to supporting the essay and debate competition rounds by coaching some of the debating students to co-hosting the grand finale of the annual festival of ideas organised by
I am so full!

Here are some of my takeaways from the grand finale which had experts in various fields talk on their life journey.

📌 Find a family or community of shared growth

📌There's room for growth and its a process

📌Take a step out of your comfort zone

📌Build consistency on what you want

📌Be ready to keep short hand for your Journey (save money to write exams, give up little enjoyment), in other to achieve a long term goal. (In my words, Delayed Gratification)

📌Believe in yourself

Have there been days where you keep refreshing your mails yet no geeenlights?

Days as such, can really be exhausting.
Sometimes, you are filled with anxiety.

Personally, I prefer the 'I am sorry mail ' to no response at all. You know why? It helps me get my mind off that particular track.

I tend to go after the next thing or probably, work on lessons learnt.

I have been in seasons where I have to abound and abase. Currently in one as well, but, I have learnt not to be too hard on myself.
Seasons like this would definitely come, you need to learn to stay put, consciously rehearsing, reflecting and envisioning the future you see.

Would I have mood swings? Would I be sad sometimes? Would I feel heavy hearted? I should. But don't keep it, get over it as soon as possible and get back on track.

If you are a believer like me, I would advise you consciously confess God's promises to you and make it a meditation instead.
In all of these, don't drown, talk to God, Self talk therapy can work as well, reach out to someone (A mentor, Senior friend, Pastor e.t.c)
Keep growing, open your heart to learning and position yourself for opportunities. It might take a while, but it definitely will come.
Our dreams are valid, Like my Dad will always say, 'we are more closer to where we are going than where we are coming from.'

A few months ago, I was to go out with a friend, Let's call him 'Ade'. I was super excited about the outing because I had pictures already in my mind and one of the things I love the most is sightseeing. So, I agreed! The day came and Ade told me we could get to the place by road but it's farther, more expensive and stressful better still let's use the Ferry. Ferry?? It means we will be going by water😅 For me, it was fine, provided I got to the much-anticipated site. I didn't care how we would get there, the only thing on my mind was the place we were going, how I was going to make a vlog, take beautiful pictures and all. Yes, it was going to be my first time using water transportation but I wasn't so focused on that, my focus was the place we intended to go and the beautiful things I would see there, the fact I would enjoy nature and all. So, we got on the Ferry, the trip was for about 20 mins. The first 5mins was fine, I wasn't thinking too much. My thoughts and mind were on where we were going.

The next 5 minutes came with the consciousness that I was on the water, I was on a ferry. The thought became more severe when the ferry swerved suddenly in another direction...

Ewwooohhhh oooo

Who sent me??? I looked at Ade and said to him, my parents have only one child plus four, I told them I was going out but I didn't say the route, I started remembering movies I had watched and fear took over my consciousness, come and see me shaking and praying to God😅😂

The sight of the water plus it was my first experience. At that point, I wished we could go back and take the normal road😅 seee me behaving like the people of Israel who wanted to go back to Egypt 😂😅😂

Please follow me, don't forget at first, my FOCUS was on where we were going, the destination but then something else happened along the way. I lost my FOCUS and the picture of the destination and what happened? I was distracted. Something else took over FEAR.

Some of us have lost the focus of our destination and allow fear to creep in. That fear has crept into your consciousness that even with the current decision you are about to make, you are very much aware of the unfavourable consequences, but you still want to go for it because of fear. Don't be like the Israelites who preferred to live as slaves rather than write their names on the sands of time. What exactly are you afraid of? Shut it out and Keep your focus on the destination.
This experience made me remember Peter😅 What an amazing Man, he was in the process of breaking a world record, the excitement of meeting JESUS, but he didn't see the water. No, all he saw was Jesus, the fact that he had missed him so much and all he wanted was just to meet him, probably hug him and gist with him on how the day went for him but at some point, he became aware of his environment, his focus shifted and all he saw was the water and what happened? He started sinking. He started sinking out of FEARRRRRR

Fear will not only sink you, it will sank and sunk you😂😅 you would shy away from greatness because of Fear.

My dad would always tell me, ' Tosin, anything your heart can conceive or dream, it is yours. Just take a step'.
My admonition to you today is FOCUS! Keep the excitement of the picture in your heart, chase it. Do not allow your environment to distract your Focus.

Meanwhile, help me tell 'Ade' thank you for such an awesome adventure, at least for giving this girl small mind😅😅😂
