Rhetorical WHYs

Why does the moon shine at night,
And not in the day;
The sun in the day,
And never at night?

Why does the face of the sky look so bare,
The grasses only growing on the earth;
And never vise versa,
Yet they look up to the skies for mercy?

Why is heaven suspended so far away,
Yet with nothing holding it in place;
The strikes of thunder never pulling it down,
And the earth never going to take its place?

Why do men sleep at night,
Only to wake up at the dawn;
A new day smiling at them,
And nothing losing a function?

Why did God create everything,
Some things to bring pleasure to man;
And yet another to trouble his heart,
But all to His own glory?

Why does in a man’s pleasure,
Lies another man’s sadness;
Yet all men were made from the dust of the earth,
In the image and likeness of one God?

Why do men die,
After enjoying a whole lot of pleasure;
Creating waves across the lengths of time,
But only to join the dust of the earth afterwards?

Why do some animals live with men,
And others in the bush;
Never desiring to see a man,
Yet they all came out from the earth?

Why am I even what I am,
And not the other;
Who remains what he is,
And never becoming myself?

The minds of men would remain fallow,
And their reasoning would always seem shallow;
We had rather waited for a moment at the lapse of time,
When everything shall be revealed without a pinch of crime.
