For those of you who like to remind us that God doesn’t exist, remind yourselves and leave us alone.

When I die, I want to go with the knowledge that I am meeting God. If I end up disappointed, na my disappointment not yours. Besides, you won’t be there to tell me “I told you so”.
You see, our journeys are different.
Journey to your unbeliefs and leave me with my ‘mumurity’.
My faith is in the one who created the Universe. your faith is in ‘nothing created you, you appeared by magic’.
Don’t trample on my faith. I won’t trample on your magic.
Live and let live.

Don’t let your boyfriend keep you from finding your husband.

I know I just spoke to someone this morning.

I think the people of Calabar have dropped the baton, food wise.
Don’t get me wrong, we still cook good food but Akwa Ibom has taken over.
For the past few years, each time i have gone to Uyo, I have eaten better food. With variety with multiple places to eat.
You can’t find that in Calabar right now.
Most good restaurants have closed down and there isn’t really variety.
E.g, who cooks Editan and Ekpang in Calabar without pre order? Even Abak can be a real stretch and what is it with that poundo?
What of Coconut rice, can it be gotten easily?
Various pepper soups? Snail perhaps? Fisherman? I could go on and on.
Even the Afang we eat in most places ‘na apology’. And what is it with only Afang?

We are stuck in time. It has passed us by!

This is not a motivational speech;
If you’re in spaces that do not allow you to be who you are, you’re not in the right spaces.

There’s a certain beauty allotted to being where you can flourish without pretending.

There’s an old Tribetan proverb that says;
The secret to living healthy is to eat half, walk double, laugh triple and love without measure.

One of the things companies are using to rip you off is the ear piece or pod as the case may be.
They used to put it free in the box with new phones.
They decided to ‘have sense’. Removed the cord, inserted blue tooth and are selling it for 250k to even 500k now. The price of new phone o.
So basically when they sell you a phone, you pay twice.
And you will be wearing the thing and ‘prouding’ and convincing me that it’s worth the price. No o, convince yourself. Me will do the traditional way, phone to ear.

When we die,
Someone else will drive our cars
live in our houses and wear our clothes.
The money in our accounts will be used
by other people.
What we have means nothing.
Find purpose. Our purpose in life is the only thing that will bare our name upon our demise.
Why are we here? Definitely not to work, pay bills and die.
To every man there is a purpose. A reason.

Find purpose!

Woman just in case you didn’t know;
Your man needs love but there’s something more important than love, it’s called RESPECT.
If you respect your man, he will treat you well (most men o)
Most marriages have died or are comatose because of lack of respect.

Don’t get me wrong, he has to respect you too but he’s the leader. Be submissive and you’ll get ‘whatever you want.’

I feel compelled to comment on the issue of the Monoliths and the resultant uproar on their demolition.

In my opinion, the uproar is misplaced. Most people had no idea what the Monoliths were or the history behind them. Most don’t care. Too much hunger in the land I guess.

Secondly, the Monoliths were replicas with no considerable value. The main ones are still there in Ikom, I think. There’s been no tourist drive towards them in recent times.

Thirdly and my main worry; someone said they were torn down because they were demonic and people used to go there for sacrifices. If you believe that then believe that the Earth is flat and you can breathe on Mars.

Fourthly, that isn’t Jesus. No one ever saw what our Saviour looked like least of all the white man who has sold us his imperialist view.
Jesus was from the Middle East, dark skinned with woolen hair not long flowing ones found in Europe. He definitely didn’t look like that Adonis.
If we don’t make a sculpture of the real Jesus we will continue to pray to some strange Hollywood like fellow.

Lastly, make we rest, we have a new, Abi old anthem. Best to get with it and learn the lyrics as we watch the seesaw that is the Naira to the Dollar.

Nigeria we hail thee…🎼

Laughter has no language
Laughter is universal
Laughter knows no tribe or religion
Laughter keeps you healthy
Laugh today
Laugh a lot
Laugh until you tear up.

Tomorrow is a day away
Someone will die
Someone will live
Someone will leave
Someone will cheat
Someone will love
Someone will save another
Someone will break even
Someone will be stuck

Tomorrow the Sun will shine
Of that, you can be sure
Night will fall,
again you can be sure
Yet tomorrow, sorrow will come
So will happiness.
It is an endless web
Spurn by the Universe,
for the accommodation of mankind
with no regard for his input.

Tomorrow is another day
It will come.

Gym is made up of all sorts;
The ones who come to show their outfits,
The ones who come to seriously train,
The ones who live in the Gym (like these boys)
The ones who come to find woman
The woman who comes to find man
The ones who come to look ass
The ones who come to take pictures for
social media
And the ones who mind their business. (Like me)

Ignore the colored beard, an exercise in moisturizing and relaxing gone wrong.

Legs shaking
Muscles aching

I’ll tell you this for free.
Nothing beats the Nigerian spirit.
Yeah we almost ALWAYS face adversity
Yet from the ashes we rise
Like a phoenix we rise
The Nigerian spirit is indomitable
It shall not be cowed

I am Nigerian
I rise!

The Sun rose again today
A chance to reset
To start anew
Afresh

The Sun rose from the East
Urging you to go west
Listen to the tidal waves
They are telling you something
Urging you on.
Begging you to not give up.

The Sun rose today
It is time for you to rise.

——————————————————————
I saw you in my dream last night
Asleep beside me
Long legs tangled on the silky sheets
Panties, very brief, unable to conceal your
pert buttocks.
I saw you in my dream
Your small breasts and s*xy ni***es stared
at me. Like two innocent eyes. They puckered even as you slept.
Your lips small and inviting, begged to be kissed.
I saw you in my dreams last night but when I woke up, you were long gone.

Given the opportunity, how many people here, would remarry their partners. Statisticians say from 6 to not more than 15 percent. It means that most married couples feel like they made a mistake and yet, a lot have remained in unhappy relationships.

Next time your partner looks at you ‘one kind’ know that she’s wondering, wetin I marry like this?!?

This are not great times for Christianity. Charlatans almost everywhere you turn. One comedian raised a powdered dead on camera and Adeboye, respected by many, many o, said he drank tea with God. His gaffes are losing souls for the Church.

Jesus raised only three people from the dead and we sabi dem reach house. Their names, family, history, everything.
Oyakilome claimed to have raised over 50 people in a single year and we no sabi dem.
Sometimes we just need to use our brains and think. Too many fake Pastors are choking out those doing God’s work.
That’s why the Europeans who fed us Christianity have moved on.

I don’t like half of what Very Dark Man says, heck a lot of times he rubs me off the wrong way but we can’t always agree with what people say. For society to remain civil, we must agree to disagree. Intolerance is why we have terrorism and religious fundamentalism.
Release VDM or charge him to court and release him on bail.
The Nigeria Police force is not a tool for private citizens to use in settling vendetta!

If you know you’re struggling for your late brother’s property with his wife and kids,
If you know you’re undergoing the process of cheating someone out of a deal,
If you know you have cheated and still intend to,
If you know you are hiding someone’s file so he doesn’t progress,
If you know you are going to poison, maim and destroy,
If you know you won’t forgive,
If you know you are continuing your late father’s generational quarrel with his other sibling’s off spring,
If you know you don born pikin run, you no de pick phone you no send,
If you know you de knowingly wicked that girl,
If you know you are that trader at Mechanic village that sold me that faulty car part and refused to take it back,
If you know you’re paying tithe from stolen funds,

Don’t go to Church or Mosque my brother and sister, you’re not ready.
That prayer will not work. You’re wasting your time.
Make Sunday morning eba and eat. Cross your legs and think about your life.
Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Stick to the people who feel like home.
Disengage from people who treat you like s**t or with disregard. No matter how attractive they are or what they can do for you is.
Have regard for yourself first, then others will follow.
People will always treat you how your ALLOW them to.

I have seen politicians come and go for decades.
I have seen them come and go to know that they are nothing.
They will be forgotten, they will turn to dust and history will be very unforgiving
If
they are not Mbakwe or Jakande.
A politician who’s only interest is to steal money will realize that money is just paper, when he leaves power.
A politician who doesn’t make the best use of his 4 years or so, would have lost an opportunity available to a minuscule ‘few’.
A politician can change a nation.
He can change the direction of a country.
African leaders, especially black African leaders, come from the same school of thought which dictates that, the people are servants or slaves, the treasury belongs to them and they will be in power forever.

The tragedy here is that the politicians in waiting, do not read the room. They do not learn from their elder brothers in power. They make the same mistakes or better still, are worse and Africa through the decades, is testament to that.
The 60’s were better than the 70s which were better than the 80s and so on and so on. It has brought us to the anguish that is 2024 and the utter hopelessness and the plethora of problems and untold hardship that has bedeviled the masses.

The African politician is special, specially moulded, seasoned and baked by Hades.

If I was going to war, I would take Odumeje not Oydepo or Adeboye. Here’s why;
Odumeje has about ten powers and has released only two, Indaboski and Abito Shaker. If he releases Santus Sanitorias or Citadel, it is finished. And there is still Rebadu o.
The only powers the other two have are money and private jets, how’s that going to help me in war?

In the trenches, Odumeje will make me laugh to lighten the mood. The other two cannot. They’ll just be wearing white suit and white shoe around the place. Besides, the trenches will make their white shoes dirty.
No o, Odumeje it is. If we release Ganduka Gandusa, we take over from America. 😁

P.S. this post will vex some people. That’s the idea, it’s meant to offend them. They can kabbash and bind me to the high Heavens.
The Original intention of Religion was to tie the poor down, it is still succeeding. Ask our savior Jesus, he wasn’t Christian.

As a Nigerian man in your 40s, living in Nigeria, you must have basic knowledge of medicine. In fact, you must become a physician of some sort if you want to be in good health and not become a statistic.
Knowing your parents’ family history of illnesses will help. Regular check ups are mandatory. Understanding your underlying health conditions and how to keep them at bay, will go a long way in giving you a good quality of life and in averting them as long as possible. A good diet and regular exercise will keep you young, if not by age then at heart (figuratively & in the literal sense).
Some of the disease that are common in Nigerian men are;
Hypertension that could lead to stroke.
Kidney failure
Liver failure
Diabetes etc.
Knowing your status will keep you alive.
Not smoking will prolong your life.
Drinking responsibly or not at all, will do same.

There’s no guarantee in life, you could do all of these and still die early but maintaining a healthy life style will increase your odds.

A fat man who exercises will live longer than a slim man who doesn’t.
Are you in your 40’s?
Do you exercise?
If you don’t, start now if not, when you go, your wife will marry another man and that man will do to her, things you couldn’t do just because you couldn’t control your food and drink.

Someone somewhere is finishing from Church right now and getting ready to be wicked again. Why bother? Nduk.

Today is someone’s cheat day.
Could be anything but I am not talking about professional fornicators, rather, I mean those who choose a day to cheat their diet and, or exercise.
For others, everyday is their cheat day as can be seen in their blood sugar and waistline. Ko easy o.

This morning I walked into bathroom and saw a mature wall Gecko. Went out to get something and when I got back, I saw a Gecko baby.
It’s not enough that you’re in my bathroom but you’ve been having s*x there too?
There’s a Gecko male somewhere, I need to fish him out.
If I am not having s*x, nobody will, not even animals in my domain both domestic and wild.

Perspective on John Okafor;

Mr. Ibu was that comedic actor that was much loved in households. He would make you laugh just by his facial expressions alone. He had accomplices in Charles Inojie, Aki and Pawpaw, Nkem Owo, the late Uncle Sam Loco etc. They were a stellar cast of the old Nollywood scene.
Then he started having health issues. Going in and out of hospitals. There was a daughter involved. Then they said she was a lover not a daughter, lover became daughter again. Second wife fell out with Pseudo daughter. ‘Daughter’ suddenly had a liaison with Ibu’s son. Cash went missing. The rumor mill went into or****ic overdrive. His private affairs, open to those who’s lives mirrored his and those it didn’t.

I marveled at netizens who criticized though. It is easy to criticize the life style of a man who is down, especially when you need a distraction from the disaster that yours is.
Don’t get me wrong, Ibu made mistakes. Who hasn’t? Many are in their second marriages and quite a few women are covering their husbands indiscretions with a cousin or house help, as I type. But, what do I know?

Mr Ibu was a renowned Nigerian. He will be remembered for his comedic prowess and for being that larger than life presence in our Television.
He thanked Peter Psquare for not leaving his side upon his sickness. Peter has shown that he is a brother in need and may God bless him with favour that money cannot buy.
It did seem like Nigerians supported Ibu in his time of need. He seemed not to be in lack and the hospital care seemed adequate. Even though I imagine that he may have lived a little longer if taken abroad.

Rest in power John Okafor. Your watch has ended.

You’re lost
and so am I
We’re all lost
A step
A breath
Deep one
Who’s going to find us?
Who’ll be brave to stir the nest
To dig
Destroy chains
Chains without padlocks
Who’s going to find us?
Simply because we have no clue
of the pathway home.
