Who does not want to blow?

No tell me you don't want to blow🙄. The desire to blow has made us make financial decisions that we later regret. Sometime ago, we heard that MMM was giving out money. Only few persons cared about asking how MMM got their money. We just wanted a get-rich-quick scheme that will make us the talk of the town.

Listen. There is no such thing. Money obeys the law of value. In your attempt to invest, get wisdom. Don't just put your money in a scheme because people are putting their money there. Research about the company. What is the company into? How do they generate income? All these questions are very essential before you invest.

You might have been scammed once

Refuse to be scammed again. The ball is in your court.

How to make Snail Stew

Recipe for Nigerian Snail Stew
Ingredients

* 6 Snails cleaned and cut in halves

* 4 cups of tomatoes/ pepper/ onion blend

* 1 large Onion

* 1 tablespoon Curry powder

* Pepper to taste

* 1 yellow Cameroun Pepper

* 1 cup Vegetable Oil

* Chicken seasoning to taste

* Salt to taste

* Crunchy Snail Stew (3)

Method

1) Place snails in a pot, add some seasoning, a little salt, some chopped onion, chopped Cameroon pepper, curry powder. Add about 1/2 cup water. Steam Snail for 5 minutes.

2) Chop onion into rings.
Heat the oil, and fry the onion for about 2 minutes. I prefer to take out the onion at this time and set aside. I like to have some bits of onion in the stew.
Fry the tomato blend till all the liquid dries up.

3) Pour in the liquid from the steamed snail and continue to cook the stew until oil starts to appear on top of the stew. Taste your stew to be sure the tanginess of the tomato is off. If not allow the stew to cook till that sour taste is off.

4) Return the snails and onion to the stew add the remaining curry powder and cook for another 5 minutes and the Snail stew is ready.

5) Serve with your Snail Stew with plain boiled rice, some side vegetable and fried plantains.

Lemme tell you a story...

Last night, one of our neighbour's kid did something so amazing. Emma, as fondly called had received a bicycle as a gift from his father not too long ago.

When he received the gift, he had no idea how to ride it. Then boom, his dad taught him how to. Daily, his dad would put him on the bicycle and push the bicycle.

Slowly, he learnt how to use the pedal and all of that. Now he is good at riding his little bicycle. I thought that was all till I saw him yesterday with his bicycle again. This time, he wanted to park the bicycle in a corner. I watched with interest how he was going to do that because he had never done such. Surprisingly, he parked right in that corner the same way his dad would park his own bike. He even washed the bicycle! I was shocked. Who taught him how to do that? He had learnt from his father

What is the moral of this story?

Learn from someone who has been where you want to be. Life becomes easier when you learn from one who has been where you desire to be. Why should you repeat the mistake some people already made? It's a waste of time and energy. Learn from people ahead of you. Trust me when I say it saves time and energy

We are that generation who will not do things the usual way

We are the ones who will break the trend and be change agents

We are of those who will strive to be different
breaking barriers, defying traditions that stand on our path

We are passionate about the future we want to see.

Never shall we let anyone or anything kill our fire

We hold on to our dreams even when they seem unpopular or overlooked

We are the ones who will fight to the end.

We do not tire. Our struggle is unique. We are too focused to give up.

WHY YOU SHOULD AVOID EATING JUNK FOODS

What are junk foods?

Any food that has no nutritional value can be considered as junk foods. Fast foods, including candy, bakery products, burgers and sausages, salty and oily snacks or soft drinks can be categorized as junk food.

Risks of eating junk foods

Obesity

One of the most common side-effects of consuming junk foods is increased obesity. It's composition of loads of sugar, calories and fats contribute to weight-gain.

Memory loss

Research has shown that junk foods can deteriorate your memory and can leave you with a weaker brain. It causes a sudden inflammation in the hippocampus in the brain which is responsible for memory and recognition.

Depression

By consuming too much of it, the body loses essential nutrients and amino acids. These symptoms eventually lead to inability of brain to deal with stress and can leave one feeling depressed.

Indigestion

Consumption of excess junk food leaves the brain in a dilemma. Excessive sugar intake can cause blood sugar level to fluctuate and makes the brain demand more food, which eventually leads to overeating. It makes it difficult for the body to digest excessive junk food.

Inadequate growth

Surviving on junk food causes deficiency of essential nutrients and vitamins required for the proper growth and development of the body. Unhealthy eating habits combined with imbalance of fatty acids and required nutrients can hamper the development of your brain and other body parts.

The importance of eating healthy can not be over emphasized. Be deliberate about your eating today.

Why you should wear sunglasses this season.

1. To protect against skin cancer:
The skin around your eyes, including your eyelids is very sensitive to sunlight. And nearly 10% of skin cancers are found near the eyes. Wearing wraparound sunglasses with large lenses can not only protect your eyes, but they’ll protect your skin, too.

2. Protection from the Elements:
The sun isn’t the only thing that can damage your eyes. Spending time outdoors, puts you at additional risk of damage from sand, dust, wind and even more. That is why you should wear sunglasses to protect against these elements.

3. Bright sunlight can be a trigger for migraines and bad headaches:
Wearing sunglasses can help reduce both the frequency and intensity of these painful occurrences.

Coconut Beach, Badagry

Aptly named for its Coconut trees, this is a favorite beach in the coastal town of Badagry. The beach is located about 20 miles towards the border of Nigeria and the Republic of Benin. It is a great place to visit because it is a Coconut Beach far removed from the noise of suburbia and is instead surrounded by holiday resorts, vacation huts, fresh air, palm trees, fresh air and an open sky.

The environment portrays an idyll defined by rural nature and nostalgia, a place where you can walk barefooted on the beach-white sand.

If you want a good place to enjoy yourself, coconut beach is the place to go

We all clamour for change.
Do not wait for change to happen. Why not create that world you want?
It starts with doing those extra little things no one wants to do.
Then, you take a step further. And then a step further.
Boom! The result appears.
Be that change agent. It is never too late to start. Start now.

Model Of The Week.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a Nigerian author whose work drew extensively on the Biafran war in Nigeria during the late 1960s. A voracious reader from a young age, she found Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe transformative.

She left for the United States in 1977 where she studied Communication and Political Science at Eastern Connecticut State University. She received a master's degree in Creative Writing from John Hopkins University and studied African history at Yale University.

She began writing her first novel, Purple Hibiscus in 2003. Purple Hibiscus garnered the Commonwealth Writers' Prize in 2005 for Best First Book(Africa) and that year's Commonwealth Writer's Prize for Best First Book (Overall). Her second novel, Half of a yellow sun was the result of four years of research and writing. It was built primarily on the experiences of her parents during the Nigerian-Biafran war.The result was an epic novel that vividly depicted the savagery of the war. It became an international best seller and was awarded the Orange Broadband prize for Fiction in 2007. Eight years later,it won the "Best Of The Best" Baileys Women's prize for Fiction

Adichie's non-fiction includes"we should all be feminists" (2014) adapted from a speech she gave at a TEDx talk in 2014. She recently wrote 'Zikora', a short story.

She is married and has a daughter. She divides her time between Nigeria and America where she regularly teaches writing.

Why relationships fail

A relationship will not work if both parties think only on what they can get in the relationship rather than why they can give. When one or both of the partners is self centred, the union will surely have issues

Trust is a necessary foundation for any relationship. If there is no trust, the union becomes problematic. It had been said that If you can't comfortably leave your partner with the most attractive person on the planet, then you don't trust them.

Poor communication is also another reason why relationships fail. Many partners believe they communicate but in reality, they don't. They leave the very important things alone and just scratch the surface. Eventually, the lack of in-depth communication between them starts to create a space between them. This can terribly go out of hand.
Trust you got value. Let me know in the comments section.

How to make Gizdodo

Ingredients
3 Giant-sized ripe plantain
Chicken or Turkey Gizzard (500g)
4 cups of sliced tomatoes
Half cup of sliced pepper (scotch bonnet)
1 cup of sliced onions
One cup of sliced green pepper
2 Seasoning cubes
150 ml vegetable oil
Salt to taste

Fry the plantain with 400ml of vegetable oil until it turns golden, scoop into a sieve and allow it to sit for a while.

Reduce the oil to 150 ml and fry the chopped gizzard.

The gizzard would be somewhat dark-brown when it is properly fried.

Remove the gizzards when it is fried and pour in the remaining half cup of onions, stir and add the tomatoes. Add the sliced pepper and allow it to fry for 10-15 minutes. Remember to stir occasionally so it doesn’t get burnt.

Once the tomato is properly fried, you are almost done with making gizdodo. Add one seasoning cube to it and salt to taste.

Transfer the fried gizzards, plantain, and sliced green peppers.

Add a pinch of salt.

Stir all together and taste for salt.

Allow to simmer for 3 minutes then serve hot.

Your Gizdodo is ready to be served
