Easter / Eid-ul-Fitr: Governor Adeleke Recommits to Physical and Stomach Infrastructure, Commences Distribution of Rice
NEWS RELEASE

OSOGBO- 30/04/2024 – Osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke has restated his commitment to physical and stomach infrastructure as his government commences distribution of rice for the celebration of both the Easter and Eid-l- Fitr.

The Distribution which started in the last 24 hours is billed to cover all major population groups in the state.

Already, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has gotten the allocated rice through its state leadership while the Muslim community are in the process of taking theirs.

Other interest groups also listed to benefit from the exercise include traditional religion practitioners, Media groups, civil society groups, youth bodies and student organisations.

Aside from the current distribution, the government is to commence another round of rice and other palliative distribution after the yuletide period.

The state and the Federal Government are collaborating to share more palliatives, all in an attempt to alleviate the suffering of our people.

Commenting on the development , Governor Adeleke who again felicitated with both Christians and Muslims said “Our government is combining both physical and stomach infrastructure for the benefit of our people.

“I am Mr Infrastructure who is building physical and stomach infrastructure. Our administration is ensuring a proper mix of both to secure today and the future of our state.

“I am building roads in the state and in our bodies. We are focusing on both sides with resounding success. We will not succumb to distractions designed to halt completion of both sides of the infrastructural needs of our people.

“So my people, expect more palliatives, more support for us to survive these hard times. As flyover bridges are popping up, we will be feeding ourselves and providing interventions to tackle hunger, deprivation , high inflation and the biting economic emergency”, the Governor was quoted as saying.

This Easter, we join our Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria and across the world to celebrate the essence of the festivities.

It is also a time for all of us — regardless of faith, or ethnicity — to come together to pray for the peace of our nation. We must all remain constant in our efforts to promote unity.

Our shared experiences are bringing us to the conclusion that no matter what the forces of evil can do, when we are united in good conduct, we shall prevail.

Our leaders at all levels should follow the virtues that define this season – sacrifice, love, and charity – and come together to help all Nigerians resolve the differences that divide us.

We must not allow those who seek to divide us to pretend as if our problems are as a result of another ethnic or religious group. -AA

It was with a rude shock and sadness that I read about the passing of the Governor of Ondo State, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Gali Umar Na’Abba.

Governor Akeredolu was a quintessential gentleman who took the finesse to governance.

A two-term elected governor of the Sunshine State, Akeredolu was a politician of class because he was never known for destructive politics.

Hon. Na’Abba on the other hand raised the bar of legislative enterprise in Nigeria as it is evident that the 1st Session of the National Assembly where he served with distinction between 1999-2003 remains one of the best in the annals of our legislatures.

Both Governor Akeredolu, Aketi, as he was fondly called, and Speaker Na’Abba will be sorely missed for the inestimable roles that they played in our national development.

I express deepest condolences to their respective families and pray to God to grant their souls a peaceful repose.

I also join the good people and governments of both Ondo and Kano States to mourn the demise of these towering political figures. -AA

See how LP out of ignorance makes APC win Kaduna state with wasted 58k votes.

The difference between the 1st and 2nd is just 10,806.

LP has done enough damage to itself and the PDP, sadly! And tomorrow the people of Kaduna south will be shouting marginalization.

Pst. Umo Eno in poll position to win this. Congratulations to the PDP
