I believe that anyone who can write a sentence, can write a book because books are compilations of sentences.

LET'S TURN THE TABLE AGAINST HELL

He dropped his mum in the park on her way to the last convention. A few days later, a call came that Obinna was dead.

A 'beautiful young man'. Every mum's dream son. Handsome and very calm. Did I cry? A lot!! I felt angry and cheated. What happens to the pretty girl he married a few years ago? What happens to their pretty, chubby baby girl? The more I thought about it, the more hopeless it all felt.

"Why don't you do something about them"? What? "You can't bring Obi back but you can do something for his wife and baby'. Then came the idea of OBINNA FOUNDATION and this is how it works.

Get two to three hundred people together to commit to paying a thousand naira each month into an account created for the foundation. This account will be in the hands of a very credible woman of God who retired as a bank manager in First Bank and another trustee.

Why one thousand naira? Because it is wisdom not to burden people while trying to relieve another person's burden. How does this foundation amount to turning the table against hell? I will tell you.

I am still angry with hell. No more deaths of our children in their prime. As you give this token of a thousand naira each month, you can turn to heaven and say father, no more!!! No more will we bury our children…

Righteousness is a major pillar in the Christian faith unfortunately, many people do not understand the concept of righteousness. This lack of understanding of the concept of righteousness is the reason why some people are in church for decades and have no fruits of righteousness to show for their faith.

Righteousness is the nature of God given to children of God at the inception of their faith. As a nature, we should not struggle to live in righteousness. Fishes do not struggle to swim in water because it is in their nature to swim and birds do not struggle to fly in the air because it is in their nature to fly. Why should any child of God struggle to live in righteousness when we have the nature of the righteous God?

HOW TO RECEIVE AND RETAIN YOUR MIRACLES.

I was present in the last month convention of my church RCCG. It was an amazing time I must confess.

On the Friday Holy Ghost service, the presence of God was so palpable. The message came with so much insight as usual. Message over, daddy read out six prayer points and gave us ample opportunity and time to pray.

Prayers over, our esteemed father in the Lord assured us that our gracious God has heard and answered us. Hallelujah!!

JOURNEY TO THE TOP 2

Walking into the Church that morning, my main concern was to encourage my friend who just lost a loved one. When the Word came, it was all shades of insight and illumination and the title was JOURNEY TO THE TOP.

Service over, I went into the church office with the pastor's wife Doreen who was my classmate from the UNI and friend for decades now. After hearing the sad events that led to the untimely death of her brother, I encouraged her and was about to leave when she handed me an envelope.

Inside this envelope again was a very fat cheque. Even in this difficult season, with all the money they spent on hospital bills? This was not the first time I was receiving this type of cheque from my dear friend who had positioned herself as a 'divine raven' to enable me settle down in the country but this particular cheque?

I decided to collaborate with them to turn their beautiful and illuminating message into a book. I went to their church website and transcribed all the messages on that series and gave it to them.

I am a keen lover of books and knowledge and when I tell you that a book is rich, please believe me. Doreen and her husband are highly successful both in faith and finances and what they did in their book JOURNEY TO THE TOP is to share the secrets that made them successful. The book is both reader and youth friendly and it is available in Amazon, Selar and Okada Books.

WHO HAS BEWITCHED YOU?

The good news is that further down in the same chapter, I saw where it is written that we have been baptised unto Christ. That scripture stays with me today.

I am here this morning to inform you that the July batch of my book writing webinar ends today. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching this batch. They are serious, interactive and full of compliments.

The beautiful thing about them is that four out of the participants were sponsored by people. One said that her boss sponsored her while two were sponsored by their spiritual mums. Another man of God paid for one of the participants but we did not see his brake lights.

My heart felt appreciation for the sponsors of some of my participants. What is highly commendable is that I did not reach out to any of these people to sponsor them. Thanks so much for good works.

ABIA STATE IS WORKING!

Each time I travel with my siblings, I activate the last born mode. I don't pay for anything. I just take my boarding pass from my big brother, Emma Okorie at the airport and enter the plane.This time around, he did not travel with us and that had a lot of implications for me and my big sister. We had to get involved with the details of buying tickets, getting to the airport and who picks us and more. You can be sure that my brother was in the picture all through and a million thanks to my dear husband, Pastor David Okure who bought my ticket and more.

To pick us from the airport was pastor Victor who has been a long standing friend of ours. He showed up at the airport with a luxury car and dressed like a flamboyant senator. This was against my counsel that he should come with a smaller, more fuel economic car. I soon discovered his reason.

Littered on the road between the airport and Abia State were police and army check points. It was fun watching Pastor Victor deal with those military men. It dawned on me that both the car and dressing was to evoke respect and less harassment from the horde of uniformed men on the road.

"Please can we buy fuel for the generator at home?" We bought six liters with the small container in the car for three thousand five hundred naira. It never dawned on me that Abia State has changed so much. I got home and met light and for the six days we stayed at home, we heard the sound of a generator only once.

Man of God, there is light here now, I said to my brother Romanus of the Orient of Peace Ministries. He said that governor Alex Oti said that our people must have light. That our able governor told the power providers to make light available or have their monopoly broken.

I talked about the children that flocked around my sister for biscuits. One of them was baby Sunshine. I noticed that her stomach was distended and I asked why. I was not taking the stories they were telling me and I called my dear friend Ada, whose husband is a doctor. That was how I found out that the Abia State teaching hospital that has been shut for over a year now has resumed operations. You won't even know why this is a big deal. Because the teaching hospital was shut, all the medical students in Abia State University were stranded. You cannot graduate medical students based on things learned from text books. They must see patients.

Eshinwa and his wife came around one of the days. The wife is a civil servant with a local government area in Abia State. The things she said about the happenings in the State were so heart warming. Kudos to governor Alex Oti. Congratulations to all Abians. Indeed, leadership is everything as John Maxwell will say. My prayer is that the good thing that has started in Abia will spread across the nation in Jesus name.

I SAW GOD EVERYWHERE!!

Last week, I was home and spent six precious days with my mum who is very old now. I went with my one in a million big sister, Mrs Chichi Okeke. Our mission? To spend time with our mum. Although God provided us with a dear lady who takes care of her for us, we always create time to be around her. Sometimes, all six of us meet at home and spend days with her. For this year however, we have chosen to stagger the arrangement to ensure that one or two of us is home every month or so.

Before we travelled, I stumbled across a particular musical group from Nkwere that she used to love their songs in the days of IBS Owerri. I picked the song and a couple of other resources I knew will be of benefit to her from YouTube. Getting home, we greeted and hugged our precious mum. Next was that i put on the music i mentioned was her ferv decades ago and me and my sister began to dance to it while our mama watched us with plenty of smiles.

The rains were there in my village but they ushered in so much greenery. I saw the God of abundance everywhere I turned.

I saw God in the 'ube' tree with uncountable fruits in our compound. I saw Him in the plantain trees everywhere around the compound producing plantain for the feeding of humanity. I saw God in the ever sweet corn that were offered to us everyday.

God was visible in the faces of all the children that flocked around us everyday for biscuits. I told you that my big sister is a sweetheart. Once she is home, it is party time for everyone. Her liberality is second to none. May the Lord replenish her purse.

Did I mention that I saw God in the clouds? Seated beside my sister in the plane and looking at the cloud, I saw God. Who else could have given the inspiration for the construction of the aeroplane but God? What a marvel our God is!!. He is the God of witty inventions. That is why I am confident that no matter how high cost of living gets, our God will provide for us. He gives inspired ideas and quickens abilities.

NIGERIA IN MY MIND

I just finished reading the book of Nehemiah. As I read, all I could see is that Nigeria will work again once a Nehemiah steps into leadership.

The Nehemiah of the Bible was a man of purpose, vision and knowledge. He was clothed with strength, righteousness and the fear of God. As soon as Nehemiah stepped out to rebuild the ruins in Jerusalem, the first thing that happened was that his vision and righteousness pulled the right men. They were men with the heart to work and in fifty two days, they mended the walls.

Dear Lord, please send us a Nehemiah. Amen.
