The Orring Day is an annual day that celebrates the culture and identity of the Orring-speaking people across Nigeria.
In Ebonyi State, the Orring-speaking communities are found in Ishielu, Ohaukwu, and Ezza North Local Government Area.
I am from Ntezi in Ishielu LGA and I am Orring. My first Language is known as Korring.
I will be attending the Orring Day 2023 in Okpoto. Join us on the 30th of December.

Eteji, Idelle, Idzem, Itrigom, Lame, Ogbala, Okpolo, Oza, Uffium, Ufia ckans, Ukelle clans all coming to Okpoto for the Orring Day 2023 convention. The sensitization has reached out to all our K'orring speaking kins and brothers across Nigeria. The Unification of Orring people through this project is real, and the unity is happening.

The question my dear gbalemes is, what are we doing as individuals and groups in support of the great Unification of Orring people? I am also using this opportunity to inform and invite you to the project leading the the successful of this convention. This is a clarion call dear Orring brothers and sisters and we can't afford to ignore it.

THE NTEZI PEOPLE IN EBONYI STATE.


Ntezi is located in the eastern outskirt of Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi State in Nigeria. Ntezi is pronounced Eh-teh-ji (Eteji) by the natives, and belongs to the Orring, Oring or Orri People. The dialect of Ntezi is K'eteji with the attached 'k' prefix given the name Keteji, a sub-language of korring spoken by Orring people in their diverse dialects across their settlements in Nigeria and Cameroon.[1] Ntezi is an Orring sub-ethnic group.[2] The Orring people occupy a scattered heterogeneous territories coexisting in three states in three geopolitical zones in Nigeria which are Benue, Cross River and Ebonyi States. Orring people are the aboriginal Abakaliki people settling in the town of Ntezi-Aba living alongside their Mbembe and Ekoi neighbours prior to the coming of the later Abakaliki group.[3] The Orring people are proxy to their neighbours, and this proximity has over the years, led to some intergroup relationship through marriage, beliefs and cultural exchanges resulting to creation of a mixed civilizations that resulted to the number of differences among the aborigines. This is the case of linguistical and cultural evidence among people.
