AAG Women’s Football Final: Ghana Dethrones Nigeria 2-1 Bags Gold.

The Falconets of Nigeria late on Thursday night lost their African female soccer crown to hosts Black Princesses of Ghana 1-2 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium via a psychological victory with mischievous and frustrating time wasting tactics that was deliberately overlooked by Ref Natasha Konan from Ivory Coast.

Severally the Ghanaian goalkeeper, Afi Amenyaku would lay on the tough wasting time and there was at least no verbal warning or card. She claimed injury and was treated on the field for about seven minutes and when the Nigerian captain protested to Ref Natasha, the Nigerian captain was promptly flashed a yellow card, the 3rd to Nigeria. I report that Goalkeepers are allowed by rules to be treated on the field of play but the duration of this was rather long.

Imagine a balk go into touch for throw-in to Ghana and a player stood right there in front of the ball refusing to pick and throw until a Nigerian player ran there, picked the ball and put it in her hand to throw with the Ref enjoying the illegal drama, no whistle or card for time wasting.

In the second half of the extra time, an unmarked Ghanaian player fell on the turf with the stretchers brought in as usual without the prompting of the Ref. The player tactically wasted time and Ref ignored rules.

It is interesting that Natasha Konan and her lines women, Sekinat Hamidu from Niger Republic and Alice Umitesi from Rwanda overlooked many wrong moves in the match. They kept allowing medical team from Ghana to enter the pitch without summons. Nigerian coach, Christopher Danjuma had to also enter the pitch to protest time wasting which should have attracted a caution.

The worry is that when Ghana like many North African teams get to the world cup they are knocked out at the group stages because standard football rules does not permit the frivolities.

Nigeria drew the first blood through Edith Njideka Edeh who cashed on an error from the Ghanaian Keeper 24th minute to score the first goal of the night.

Tracey Twum who was most eloquent player on the field scored the equalizer for Ghana in the 78th minute before Mukarema Abdulai got the winner.

Perhaps the most joyous man on the pitch is the Ghanaian coach, Yusuf Besigi who had beaten the same U20 women at WAFU B in 2019 and had won the Gold of the All African Games with the Black Queens in 2015.

Ghana and Nigeria advance to the world U20 women's cup in Columbia (which is hosting the world in that category for the 3rd time) 31st August to 22nd September 2024.

Ugandan babes clinched the Bronze from Senegal 6-5 on penalties after a goalless regular time.

AAG Women’s Final: Falconets Should Win the Nigeria-Ghana “Jollof War” Against Black Princesses of Ghana on Thursday Night.

The “Jollof war” between Nigeria and Ghana will be ignited Thursday when Defending Champions, Falconets of Nigeria file out against the Black Princesses of Ghana in the finals of the 13th All African Games female football at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana at 9pm Nigerian time.

Nigeria is chasing the title for the fourth time having won the maiden one in 2003; 2007 and August 2019 in Morocco. Cameroon had beaten Ghana 1-0 in 2011 finals; but Ghana took the title only once beating Cameroon in a revenge melee in 2015.

That 2019 Nigeria had walloped Algeria 3-0 in the semifinals; Morocco lost the other semifinal to Cameroon 1-3 before clinching the Bronze with a 2-1 win over Algeria and after a pulsating 0-0 AET Nigeria beat Cameroon 3-2 on penalties for their 3rd title.

Ghana piped Ethiopia by a lone goal; beat Tanzania 2-1; drew 1-1 with Uganda at the group stage before dazing the Senegalese babes 3-1 in the semifinal.

Nigeria surprised Morocco 2-0 and then slammed Senegal 4-0 with Egypt now known for several tournament withdrawals at the age group missing out before Nigeria outplayed Ugandan babes with two second half goals in the semifinals.

Although the 3rd place match will be decided at the same venue at 5pm Nigerian time the focus is the finals as the Nigeria Ghana rivalry in sports deepens along with which country has the best Jollof Rice which is an African food delicacy making global attention.

The credentials of the Falconets in football actually make Ghana look like minnows of the game. Nigeria had played their first International game on 7th April 2002 slaughtering Mali 6-0; their biggest win was against Sierra Leone 10-0 in a match played in Nigeria in 2014 though Nigeria bowed to the high tech Japanese football 0-6 in New Guinea on 13th November 2016.

Wikipedia informed that Nigeria appeared at the African U20 world cup finals 10 times and won all the 10 times in 2002; 2004; 2006; 2008; 2010; 2012; 2014; 2015; 2018 and 2022.

Nigeria qualified for every edition of FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup but were only runners-up twice losing each time to Germany in 2010 and 2014.

It could not be confirmed from records the actuality of Ghana’s adventures as the team appeared five times at an advanced stage of the African world cup qualifying stage but I can confirm that Ghana U20 women went six times to the U20 women’s world cup finals but were ousted each time at the group stages.

Nigeria’s highly technical Coach, Chris Danjuma had warned that home advantage will not intimidate his wards who scored 8 goals from 3 matches conceding no goal at all or with three clean sheets meaning that the Falconets defence is super but it took football skills reading to bring in two substitutes who gave 2-0 victory against Uganda in the semifinal. Danjuma quickly said his players will fire like a soldier from the waist and from all angles contrary to their game against Uganda.

Ghana scored 7 goals and conceded 3 goals from 4 matches played with the 1-0 victory over Ethiopia as their clean sheet meaning the Ghanaian defence may run over time shift to hold Nigeria at the finals. Will Ghana emerge the only team to score against Nigeria at the finals?

AAG 24: Super Subs move Defending Champions, Falconets to Women’s Football in a 2-0 win over Ugandan Babes.

The bench on Monday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium pushed the Falconets of Nigeria to the 13th All African Games Women’s final as two super subs (substitutes) gave the 2-0 drubbing of the Uganda Babes in the first semifinal clash.

Adaobi Okah scored 74th minute and Chiamaka Okuochukwu put the icing on the cake at 89th minute to ensure an advantage of a Gold medal victory encore to the Nigerian ladies as defending Champions that refused to draw a match or lose any in the Ghana games.

The Chris Danjuma coached girls had seized the Moroccan ladies 2-0 and tutored the Senegalese counterparts 4-0 while Egypt ran from shame via a withdrawal before the Ghana games.

It was not a stroll in the park for Falconets who were meeting the Ugandan girls for the first time as Nigeria got 4-1 shots on target with 8-8 off target; for the Ugdan girls had 91-88 attacks though Nigeria got 57 – 48 dangerous attacks and Nigeria had the match under grips with 51 – 49 ball possession. So close.

I could not lay hands of the football records of the Ugandan girls but Nigeria and Ghana played 1-1 in this U20 category in the West African Women’s football on 3rd June 2023; Nigeria walloped Togo 6-0 in a friendly on 24th May 2023; slashed Burkina Faso 3-0 on 28th May 2023 also in a friendly.

In some competitive games, Mauritius of all countries hammered the Falconets 3-0 on 7th October 2023 but in the return leg in Nigeria the Falconets dashed them 3-0 and left the game there; earlier on 28th May 2023 Nigeria had beaten Burkina Faso 3-0; Nigeria piped Tanzania 2-1 on 19th November 2023 after both sides played 1-1 in Tanzania; Burundi earned 1-1 at home on 14th January 2024.

In the All Africa Games women football event, only an own goal was recorded. It was scored by Abir Choab of Morocco against Senegal in Group B where Nigeria came tops.

Ghana Queens are about now playing the Senegal girls in the second semifinal at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Nigeria will meet the winner of that match in the prestigious battle for Gold on Thursday 21st March while Uganda will face the loser of that match in the battle for the Bronze medal same day.

The Flying Eagles coached by Ladan Bosso was bundled out of the games after losing two matches at the group stage and Bosso said his boys were brought down in flight for inadequate preparation.

Nigerian Baptist Family turned Funeral Service of Lecturer, Dr, Joseph Audu Reni to Retirement Service to raise Funds.
…Dr. Reni who trained and mentored many Pastors was homeless.

The Baptist family on Friday at the Barnawa Baptist Church, Kaduna turned the funeral service of their late astute Lecturer, Rev. Dr. Joseph Audu Reni to his retirement service lamenting that the Baptist movement did not take care and celebrate the Lecturer while alive.

Kaduna Conference Pastor, Rev. Dr. Ishaya Jangado opened the flow of lamentations when he disclosed that his last moment with Dr. Reni was that the late lecturer told him he has many unpublished works and no resources to make them available lamenting that Dr. Reni’s family has no house to move to since their bread winner with all the hard work for the convention had no house of his own except the official residence in the Kaduna seminary.

When his offer on behalf of the conference was seen as little, groups and individuals made offers with the Baptist Women Union, Kaduna branch blazing the trail with a million Naira and a committee to coordinate the offering promptly put together. The Committee said the money raised will be used to rent an apartment for Dr. Reni’s family pending when a befitting residence will be ready for occupation but the Women Union announced that all their projects is hereby put on hold until a house is ready for Dr. Reni’s family.

President of the Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. Israel Akanji popularly called ‘Zaki’ in the Baptist fold preached from John Chapter 12 verse 28 with the title: FATHER, GLORIFY YOUR NAME. He said when anyone reaches his wit end on issues and situations we should just pray, Father, Glorify Your Name.

Photo: Baptist Convention President, Israel Akanji at the funeral in Kaduna.

According to him, the passage of Dr. Reni overpowered the Baptist Family and there’s nothing the Church can do about it but turn to God in intercessory prayers.

He disclosed that He and Dr. Reni finished at the Seminary in the same set but Dr. Reni, his well-known bosom friend was always the first to turn in any assignment or paper and he was always the last to submit his assignments adding that he was the only one to be first ordained in their set by the Baptist Church.

Said he: He was the first to be ordained in our set, I was not ordained at all when we went for the 1988 Convention and he was the first to preach in our set at that convention with his sparkling Queens English”.

Rev. Dr. Akanji shocked the congregation when he disclosed publicly for the first time that his friend and Brother, Dr. Reni approved his taking over the Pastorate of the First Baptist Church, Garki Abuja where he served for 22 years before he became the Convention President.

Dr. Reni was removed from being Pastor of First Bapatist Church Garki in a wind of protest and many were dumb founded that his known friend took over his position but Dr. Akanji explained that he personally went to consult Dr. Reni who pleaded that he (Akanji) should take up the appointment.

Speaking on behalf of Lecturers of the Baptist Theological Seminary, Kaduna Rev. Dr. Pampe said Dr. Reni was a humble walking encyclopedia of Theology that all of them consult with a well arranged office and impeccable human relations that enhanced the good academic atmosphere in the Seminary, “No wonder he was great in historical documentation of Theology”.

Some institutions where Dr. Reni served as adjutant lecturer or on sabbatical sent goodwill messages the one from Baptist Theological College, Jos where many lecturers at the Kaduna Seminary served said Dr. Reni who was their Board member was a meticulous man who would review their minutes line by line and created a situation where they sent him minutes of meeting ahead of next meeting to save time. The institution said they learnt a lot from his humility and intense academic sense.

Several people took stern look at the white coffin in which Dr. Reni’s cold body laid before he was buried.

Patmos Media Line had reported that Dr. Reni died Tuesday 5th March 2024 at age 66 having been born 31st January 1958 and actually retired from the seminary last December before the Seminary authorities placed him on contract work.

Dr. Reni was hale and hearty when he woke up that Tuesday morning but told his wife, Mama Rosaline Esther Reni who had touched many Pastor’s wife who passed through the seminary after the Family Altar (Daily Family Prayer Meeting) that he was not feeling fine in his body and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Fondly called Baba Reni, the man who teaches with a human face at the seminary was former Deputy President (Academics), former coordinator of Post Graduate Studies and lecturer in Church History before he retired last December and was re-employed on contract by the institution.

Rev. Reni authored many books and contributed to several scholarly works before his death.

Many families make their children to live with the Renis on Campus as Dr. Reni and his wife guided especially the youths to stardom.

Falconets Coast into the African Games Semifinal in Cape Coast....Lash Senegal 4-0.

The Falconets of Nigeria on Monday night at the Cape Coast Stadium in Accra Ghana coasted gleefully into the semifinals of the All African Games Women’s football event with a convincing 4 nill victory over Senegal in their 2nd Group B match.

The Chris Danjuma led girls could only get a goal in the first half through Njideka in the 14th minute.

On resumption of the second half, the Nigerian Babes went smoking pressuring their opponents first through Ezekiel who scored Nigeria's second goal 50th minute before Kalas scored an own goal 51st minute and the Nigerian girls made it 4-0 through Olise.

Spectators turned the game to a practice match with shouts of "eh eh and uh uh" which distracted the Nigerian girls from scoring more goals.

Nigeria dashed Morocco 2-0 in their opening match and since their next opponent, Cameroon had withdrawn Nigeria automatically has a walk over with three points in the kitty to top Group B.

Two teams in each group will move to the semifinal and Nigeria is there.

Flying Eagles Wobble to lone Goal Victory Over South Sudan in Ghana.

Ladan Bosso tutored Flying Eagles on Monday wobbled to their first victory over lowly rated South Sudan at the Men's football event of the All African games in Ghana by a penalty goal.

Sadie Isyaku scored from the penalty spot in the 80th minute to give Nigeria fresh air of hope at the games at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Picture is Coach Ladan Bosso.

Nigeria slumped 1-2 to less fancied Junior Ugandan Cranes in their group opener and when they lifted their heads to see the exit door the goal came.

Earlier today, Uganda pipped Senegal by a lone goal to further open the pages of upset at the games.

Nigeria has to clearly beat Senegal in their last group games to move to the semifinal of the Men's football event. Uganda will square up against South Sudan who are out already as the team lost 0-1 to Senegal in their first match.

South Sudan had on 3rd March 2023 lost mesmerisingly 0-5 to Gambia U20 boys; played goalless with Uganda on 26th February 2023; defeated CAR by a lone goal on 23rd February 2023 and lost 1-2 to Congo on 20th February 2023.

Nigeria bowed to Uganda 1-2 in the All African games outing but had world cup matches beating Italy 2-0 on 24th May 2023; lost to Brazil 0-2 on 27th February 2023; banged Argentina 2-0 at the world cup on 21st May 2023 before South Korea piped Nigeria 1-0 on 4th June 2023.

‘Savage Beast’, Anthony Joshua Knocks out Mouthy Francis Ngannou in Round Two of their World Heavyweight Bout.
…Ngannou takes Oxygen in His Corner to Revive.

British –Nigeria former World Heavy Weight Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua (AJ) at the Riyadh Kingdom Arena, Saudi Arabia on Saturday morning knocked out mouthy Cameroonian former UFC Heavy Weight Champion, Francis Ngannou in the second minute of the second round of a scheduled 10 round bout.

AJ was so brutal in punching Ngannou that he had to be administered Oxygen in his corner and was knocked out unconscious before he finally hit the canvas for the third time in the bout.

Joshua dropped Ngannou who had threatened to s***f out life from AJ with his devastating atomic bomb punches after the Cameroonian became a South Paw (punching with the left hand) and caught Joshua with a right hook in round one.

Ngannou came back into the second looking worried as he received a combination of punches which he absorbed but AJ strategized knocking Francis to the floor for the second time though he became stable when he beat the mandatory ten count only for AJ to finish him off with a thunderbolt of a punch that birthed the 3rd and final knock down.

AJ aged 34 now has 28 bouts with 3 defeats and 24 knockouts and Francis, aged 37 who made his boxing debut in October losing to WBC World Champion Tyson Fury via split decision after knocking down Fury in a non-title bout now has two defeats from two bouts in his boxing career and this is the first time ever he was given a technical Knockout either at the MMA of boxing career.

Boxing Promoter, Eddie Hearns said “That’s one of the most destructive knockouts I’ve ever seen. In this form, no one in the world can beat AJ” as he described AJ as a savage beast.

Anthony Joshua said “I’m still pushing, still hungry. I’m just pushing day by day so will just see where it goes. In Boxing, it’s one or the other. He can come again. He had two fights and he’s fought the best, he should not quit boxing because of this nightmare”. Joshua admitted he studied hard the video tape of Francis Ngannou against Tyson Fury.

Ngannou said he won’t quit for you win some and lose some fights”. AJ showed the spirit of sportsmanship raising the hand of Francis Ngannou after the match Ref formerly declared him champion.

AJ lost three belts IBF, WBO and WBA to Olessander Usyk and still lost his rematch. He is eyeing a victory set up fight against Tyson Fury who faces Oleksandr Usyk who is holding the belts for now to crown an undisputed Heavyweight Champion since 2000 praying for a Fury victory.

The Tyson Fury versus Oleksandr Usyk bout is fixed for May 18 and the winner will obviously fight AJ later in the year. AJ has already said he dreams of having his belts back.

Nigeria's Falconets on Friday in Accra, Ghana dumped their Moroccan counterparts in the opening match of the female football of the All African Games by 2-0.

Nigeria made it a bad International Women’s Day for Morocco making them look like minnows (football novices) though the Nigerians missed several scoring chances.

Defending Champions, Nigeria forced Morocco to commit several errors in the first half including an own goal by F. Bambara in the 19th minute and three yellow cards which in football is for caution.

According to the schedule made available to Patmos Media Line on Thursday, a Christian Wake service will hold at the same Bethel Baptist Church on Thursday at 4 pm.

A detribalized Church Administrator and former President of the Kaduna Baptist Conference, Rev. Reni hails from Akwanga in Nasarawa State.

Dr. Reni fondly called Baba Reni who teaches with a human face at the seminary was born on 31st January 1958 was former Deputy President (Academics), former coordinator of Post Graduate Studies and lecturer in Church History before he retired last December and was re-employed on contract by the institution. Most of his colleagues contacted were not willing to comment on his passage; some of his former students complained on the social media that the passage was too early as he is believed to still have many lives to be impacted to. He was known to have a gift of counseling and guiding many Pastors and their families who went through the seminary.

The CEO of Patmos Media Line, Rev. Eniola Olatunji who was of the Pentecostal stock but was a Master of Divinity (M.DIV) student of the Seminary 2013 – 2017 recalled the great friendly touch of Rev Reni when the roof of his famous room A1 came down when some unknown men attempted to bomb former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari at the Kawo Market so close to the seminary in 2014.

Super Falcons of Nigeria Edge Lionesses of Cameroon by a Lone Goal in Olympic Games Qualifier.
…Awaits Winner of Tanzania Versus South Africa to be played on Wednesday.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Monday multiplied the woes of the Lionesses of Cameroon at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja with a lone goal ouster in the 2024 Olympic qualifier after the Lionesses were run into the cage by less fancied Kenya last September in the Women African Cup of Nations.

UD Granadille Tenerife of Spain 26 year old player, Esther Okoronkwo had collected a pass from bionic Jennifer Echegini who dribbled two Cameroonian Defenders before connecting Esther who tucked in the goal in the 15th minute of play.

The Cameroonians adopted ‘jam body system of play’ thinking their hard physical play can weary the Super Falcons and it was in this process that agile Nigerian Defender, Tosin Dimehin was taken out in the 40th minute for Halimat Ayinde to come in.

Nigerian players, Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Jeniffer Echegini, Okoronkwo and Toni Payne missed glaring chances to score which would have sent the Lionesses to the abattoir.

Two yellow cards were flashed by Namibian Ref Ndemugwanitha Twanyanyukwa one to each side and the No 14 shirt of Cameroon got a straight red card in 90+2 minutes when she ran like a long vehicle called Trailer without break into Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie. The match was held up for about four minutes for Chiamaka to recover.

Nigeria had 110 -96 attacks having 6-3 shots on target with 6-2 corner kicks before a very scanty crowd at the Abuja stadium.

The Cameroonian Lioness escaped defeat in Douala by the gap of the skin of the tooth as Jennifer Echegini’s goal early in the second half of the first leg was controversially ruled offside and up till now, CAF’s Referees Committee has not offered any explanation as to the why. The first leg ended goalless officially.

After the Doula match, both teams took the same flight to Abuja on Sunday but Patmos Media line cannot confirm whether mix seats were allocated which could douse tension and remove “serious eyeing” of opponents for the Abuja match.

Nigeria’s Super Falcon had enjoyed been ranked no 1 in Africa from 1991 till date annually and has been African Champions nine record undisputable times but last qualified for the Olympic Games 16 years ago. Falcons were at the Australia Olympics in 2000 and China Olympics in 2008 while Cameroon was at the London Olympics in 2012. The present crop of Super Falcon players have never been to the Olympics hence their strong desire for victory as explained by Captain Rasheedat Ajibade at the Press Conference on Sunday.

Ajibade had scored the lone goal that threw out Cameroon for Women African Cup of Nations 19 months ago. Although Evelyn Badu of Cameroon and Thambi Kgatlana of South Africa are the highest scorers in the Olympic qualifiers of the African Zone with four goals each, Ajibade and Fazila Ikwaput of Uganda are next with three goals each. Africa’s best, Oshoala is yet to get a goal at the Olympic Qualifiers.

Nigeria has been soccer lords of African female football until other African nations upgraded. Nigeria thrashed Cameroon 2-0 on 25th October 2014 in WAFCON match; Cameroon’s first victory was also a WAFCON match played 15th September 2015 in Douala won 2-1; she lost at home to Nigeria on 3rd December 2016 by 0-1 in yet another WAFCON match; it was goalless in Douala on 27th November 2018; on 14th July 2022 Nigeria humbled Cameroon by a lone goal and both sides played 1-1 draw last time they met on 14th July 2023.

Nigeria had walked a path of playing 1-1 with the Ethiopian Babes in the Olympic Qualifier on 25th October 2023 before whipping the Selassie Babes 4-0 in Nigeria on 31st October 2023 in the second leg of the Olympic Qualifiers to set up a meeting with Cameroon; Falcons dealt with Cape Verde tutoring them football rudiments with a 5-0 lashing on 30th November 2023 in Nigeria and beating the team 2-1 on their home ground on 6th December 2023 both in Women African Cup of Nations encounters.

Cameroon had beaten Kenya by a lone goal in Doula on 23rd September 2023 and lost by same margin on 26th September 2023 in WAFCON duels but Kenya ousted the Lionesses 4-3 on penalties. Cameroon eliminated Uganda losing 2-0 first on 26th October 2023 and winning 3-0 on 1st November 2023 in the Olympic qualifiers to set up a meeting with Nigeria.

Two teams will represent Africa in Paris to join 14 other nations. Ghana lost at home to Zambia 0-1 and would play the second leg on Wednesday while Tunisia lost at home to Morocco and would also play their second leg on Wednesday.

Nigeria that played goalless with Cameroon in the first leg and won by a lone goal on aggregate is on standby for the winner of the second leg between Tanzania and South Africa. The Bayana Bayana Girls of South Africa walloped Tanzania 3-0 in the first leg at Arusha and would be playing the second leg tomorrow, Tuesday at Jo’Borg.

The two final teams to represent Africa, Ghana/Zambia vs Tunisia vs Morocco as well as Nigeria vs Tanzania/South Africa will be decided in a two legged duel 1st – 9th April 2024.

The Summer Olympics will take place in Paris, France from 26th July to 11th August 2024. The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will be playing in the male football at the Olympics.

THE AHITHOPHELS OF NIGERIA.

Names are particularly important and I always say there is a spirit behind every name. Look at Nabal. It means foolishness. The dictionary of Bible names says Ahithophel means brother of ruin (destruction) or folly (stupid; a moron or mechanical buffoonery). Big words? Words in bracket mine.

Another dictionary says Ahithophel means brother of insipidity or impiety. Oh Lord have mercy! Would you or your children want the name Ahithophel? Impiety means someone who lacks respect or is not dutiful (unfaithful) to someone superior. This is someone who lacks due reference for God. They do not have the fear of God in their lives. They are people who indulge in ungodly acts.

Nigeria is a very large country in black Africa with an estimated population of over a 120 million people and about 360 tribes. She also has vast human and material resources that are being tapped by even the foremost nations of the world. There are some resources that Nigeria is one of the leading producers in the world raking money that other countries dream of having. An observer will not believe why a country that is so blessed can be one of the five poorest and one of the most corrupt nations of the world. The most painful story of Nigeria is that many who profess Christianity or Islam, when they get to the bedroom of power become another person. They fall under the powerful influence of the melancholic group called “The Ahithophels”.

Who is Ahithophel?
He was an influential Counselor known in present political parlance as special advisers who parade in corridor of power. You may never get into the bedroom or boardroom of power if you do not grease the palm of such people. They are political harlots or portmanteau politicians known in Nigeria as merchants of “Ghana must go” bags. These sons of Mammon are not only greedy but scheme for positions and affluence as ‘king-makers’.

An Ahithophel could be a anybody, President, Governor, Senator, Honorable, professional, Clergy, businessman or even Civil Servant who adapt to political environments like a chameleon. The Ahithophels are not principled so they are permanent members of ‘AGIP’ - Any Government in Power. Please note that Ahithophels also exist in the Household of Faith and can miss direct you if you do not have a discerning spirit.

Notes on Ahithophel.
1. Swap Allegiance. According to the scripture, Ahithophel changed camps from David to Solomon his son. This means they have no shame. “Then Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counselor, from his city, namely from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy grew strong, for the people with Absalom continually increased in number.” 2Sam. 15:12. That means Ahitophels are conspirators. They lack morals or integrity. There is a man who lambasted the incumbent ‘numero uno’ and later became the spokesman of the same man he had rolled in the dust with his tongue and pen.

2. Associates? They appear to be very close Associates, friends that you can confide in. I see a lot of back stabbing coming and several secrets cooked in the confines of rooms being exposed on the streets. Disappointments that could lead into su***de. “Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.” Ps. 41:9 shows that Ahithophel is a Judas. One who betrays confidence. God has decided to shame Ahithophels who stand against the will of the people. “Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak the word, but it will not stand, for God is with us.'' For the Lord spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying: "Do not say, `A conspiracy,' concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” Isa. 8:10.-12.

3. Covenant. There is a doctrine that is greater than any covenant. Nigeria is unfortunately run by covenants most of which are unholy even from the days of the boys in khaki. “That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments; And may not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not set its heart aright, And whose spirit was not faithful to God. The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows, Turned back in the day of battle. They did not keep the covenant of God; They refused to walk in His law, And forgot His works And His wonders that He had shown them.” Ps. 78:6-11. It is to perpetuate certain things or people in government. I decree that all these evil covenants shall not stand. They shall collapse in the face of those who made them.

4. Playing God. Some Ahithophels and their associates have turned themselves to God. They do not know where to draw the line between commendation and playing God. They say you are the best and there is no one but you. There is a song from Deut. 32:3-4 “Ascribe greatness to the Lord our God, His word is perfect….”. Am glad you know the song. Oh you don’t know it? Contact me and I will teach you. Somebody should start singing that song from the Villa to every crannies of Nigeria. We should remember there was a ruler of Babylon who took all glory to himself and the supreme one had to send the ruler to His zoological garden to eat grass. People pushed Sergeant Samuel K. Doe of Liberia to his early death when they told Doe he was the best thing that ever happened to Liberia. They urged him to stay on ‘a la elongation’ but the summary was that he was disgraced to his grave.

5. No Fear of God. Ahithophels are mean and can do anything to ensure they remain in the main stream of events by offering evil counsel. He told Solomon to have s*x with his father’s wives on the roof top for Israel to see. Is that sensible or wicked? What wicked thing have you done hiding under the cloak of gifts to the people? You will account for it. Let our politicians in office at any level now be careful what advice they accept. It is said that human memories are very weak. Politicians forget that in this Nigeria, there was a goggled king who was told he was the best in the whole world. He drowned in the river of gloated image.

6. Strong Curse. Hear David speak of Ahithophel: “But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company. Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them”. Ps. 55:15. These words came upon Ahithophel, he committed su***de. Curses placed on Ahithophels work fast because of their uncontrollable treacherous activities. Repent now and stop being an Ahithophel. God bless you.
