A SPEECH DELIVERED BY HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, AJALAYE OF IPETU IJESA, OBA ADELEKE AGUNBIADE ON THE OFFICIAL COMMISSIONING OF ACCESS BANK NEW BRANCH, ON THURSDAY 19TH OF SEPTEMBER, 2019 AT IPETU IJESA.
Good Afternoon his Excellency our dear Governor of Osun, his excellency, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, traditional rulers in attendance especially the Ooni of Ife, his Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwunsi, Arole Oodua Ojaja 11 ,the honourable speaker of the Osun State house of Assembly, Hon Timothy Owoeye, Honorable Babatunde Desmond Ojo, our voice in Oriade in the state house of Assembly of Osun state, members of Aro odo supreme council, our amiable Chiefs and High Chiefs, the managing Director Of Access Bank including head of corporate affairs of the bank, gentlemen of the press, indigenes of Ipetu Ijesa home and abroad among other dignitaries that has not been mentioned, ladies and gentlemen. It is a pleasure standing before you with all protocols observed passionately.
I am the most excited person today because I am privileged to witness a new dawn in my time. The official commissioning of Access bank in Ipetu Ijesa is colourfully a testimony for promotion of commerce in growth and development. A choice has been established for our people to make transactions more timely and convenient. Monopoly of one financial institution has been dualized for a more competitive one for efficient and timely transactions that gives priority to urgent needs and development. Banks promotes commerce and greatly serves as a catalyst to both micro and macro economic development.
I thank in no small measure the management and board of Access bank in locating one of their branches to Ipetu Ijesa. This will undoubtedly discourages rural urban migration and assist further in future corporate social responsibility. To me, financial institution is one of the indices of mirroring the civility of any society. The value is so enormous
Admirably significant, I am happy to let you know that the name of your bank symbolises the vision and mission statement of jet age banking with a difference. With Access bank, we are accessible to growth and development in Ipetu Ijesa henceforth. Be assured of safety. Be assured of patronage and we are unmistakably clear in making your presence in our midst a wonderful one in all ramifications.
Once again thank you for this wonderful gift, it is historic to have guest from all walks of life in this mother of all occasions. My people are friendly and accommodating.
Kudos to the visioners from within and without. Your emergence today was as a result of effort and sacrifices of altruistic personalities of Ipetu Ijesa and many others. Rome has never been built in a day. History will be kind to them and generations yet unborn. The deficiencies of monopoly has been addressed by innovations. Aropeju Day is by the corner and to be precise November 2nd 2019.We hope to see your corporate affairs flying our image beyond the shore of Nigeria by actively participating in sponsorship.
I humbly crave the indulgence of the state government and other corporate organisations that I welcome more of these under my authority as the Ajalaye of Ipetu Ijesa. We are ready to partner for development in any capacity to put Ipetu Ijesa in the fast lane of modern civilization through industrialization and innovative banking like Access bank I know by reputation.
It is certainly important at this juncture to acknowledge the roles of our son and a pride of the nation, former Chief of Defence Staff ,Chief Oluseyi Petinrin for nobility of multi dimensional roles towards the development of Ipetu Ijesa. I am indeed grateful and highly indebted for his innovative support in achieving what in most cases appears practically impossible as task. He has been excellent with a standing ovation
I thank Osun state government under the auspices ofhis Excellency, Governor Gboyega Oyetola for developmental vision. The Governor is focused and innovative I have no doubt that his democratic mandates will attracts dividends of democracy not only to Osun state but Ipetu Ijesa immediate and future developments goals.
Without being hyperbolic beyond words description I thank You all. You have made a significance of no small measure that has made your names all to be printed in gold as worthy dedicatee of excellence as partners in progress in the success story of Ipetu Ijesa today and tomorrow. Thank you all
