Groom killed after bride's ex-boyfriend gifted them sound system rigged with explosives.

A 25-year-old groom has died in an explosion after his bride’s ex gifted them a music system rigged with explosives.

One day after their nuptials on April 1, the newlywed groom was at his home with family in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district, India.

The groom, identified as 25-year-old Hemendra Merawi, and his brother, 30-year-old Rajkumar, unwrapped a music system gifted to Hemendra and his wife at their wedding. After setting it up and turning it on, the device exploded, police told The Express.

Both Hemendra and Rajkumar were killed in the blast that police said was so violent, it blew off the roof of the house and damaged three walls.

Five other family members, including an 18-month-old child, were injured in the explosion.

Hemendra’s new bride, only identified as a 29-year-old woman, was at her parents’ home at the time of the incident, news media reported.

After questioning Hemendra’s wife and other family members, police narrowed in on an ex-lover of the bride as the prime suspect.

Police have arrested the ex who gifted the newlyweds the music system rigged with explosives.

Sarju Markam, 33, who worked as an auto mechanic, was located and detained at his job on April 3.

Investigators found that Markam, who was already married with children, was upset after the bride rejected his desire for her to become his second wife.

He became vengeful after she decided to marry Hemendra by way of an arranged marriage, police said.

A day before the nuptials, Markam called the then bride-to-be and tried to convince her to not go through with it.

Markam then called Hemendra and threatened him.

Markam then had a friend take him to the wedding venue on March 31 where he placed the wrapped music system under several wedding gifts before departing.

Markam’s friend who gave him a ride had no knowledge of Markam’s plans, police said.

Markam faces life imprisonment under India’s Explosive Substances Act, Vice reported.

Labour Party, Peter Obi Release Campaign Manifesto For 2023

The Labour Party (LP) has released its manifesto tagged “It’s POssible” which will be formally unveiled to Nigerians on Sunday, December 4th, 2022.

The Head of Media of the Presidential Campaign Council of the party, Diran Onifade, told Channels Television that the candidate, Peter Obi, was part of those who produced the manifesto, unlike other parties where the candidates have no idea of the contents of such document.

In the 62-page manifesto, the Peter Obi campaign anchored it on seven thematic areas. These are security, production, institutional reforms, the industrial revolution, infrastructural development, human capital development, and robust foreign policy.

A further perusal of the document showed that Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti-Ahmed, promised to among others:

“Secure and unite our dear nation, and manage our diversity such that no one is left behind in Nigeria.

“Move Nigeria from consumption to production and embark on comprehensive legal and institutional reforms and practicable restructuring measures, to fight corruption; ensure the enthronement of the rule of law, and decisively tackle all forms of corruption.”

They also pledged to “prioritize Human Capital Development through robust investments in STEM education, health, and infrastructural development, with emphasis on wealth creation, distribution, and sustainable development.

“Improve access to finance, particularly to MSMEs, youths, and women, to significantly reduce unemployment and insecurity.

“Ensure that in policy and practice, governance will be made more inclusive, cost-effective, transformative, and less transactional. No more sharing of the national wealth by a few.”

Condoles With the Family of Mrs. Victoria Chintex

I am shocked by the mindless killing of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the Labour Party’s women leader in Kaura, Kaduna State, by yet to be identified gunmen. Her death is a huge loss to her immediate and extended family, and to our Labour Party. She lives on in our hearts.
Her killing, and the loss of many innocent lives across the nation to gunmen and terrorists, are the reason why I must prioritize the war against insecurity as my first task in office. We must not allow the waste of human lives in Nigeria under any guise.
May the soul of Late Mrs. Victoria Chintex rest in perfect peace. My sincere condolence to her family. -PO

“I was in CKC from 1973 to 1978 and Dr Peter Odili left before I entered the school. He was such a fabulous footballer whose image still loomed large even in our time especially when my Primary School was very close to CKC.
“The truth is that the Primary School I attended, Santa Maria School/Holy Trinity School, were both owned by the same Catholic Church that owns the Christ the King, CKC, Onitsha. In fact both Primary Schools were feeder schools to the CKC and large number of pupils that passed through them ended up in CKC for secondary education.”

Record breaker

The Guinness Book of Record should be kind to BAT the presidential candidate of APC.

Baba Tinubu is the first known person to graduate from a college four years before the school was founded.

According to his certificate, he graduated in 1970 from Government College Lagos but the school was founded in 1974.

Bola Baba Tinubu is the first known politician to be the presidential candidate of a party known as PDAPC. This party is neither registered nor known to any other person in the world except Baba Bola.

Tinubu is also the inventor of the words “balabloo bloo blu bulaba.” No one has been able to tell the meaning of the word or any other tribe in heaven, earth, or below, who speaks the language.

Some people have suggested that it’s the language of troubled demons or the language of an unknown strange tribe where Tinubu is from since no one knows exactly his origin.

Tinubu is also the only known person on earth who was so quiet and isolated in his school that no past or present member of the school remembers him. He was such a shy kid — a ghost, maybe.

I contacted the Guinness Book of Records to ask why a man with such outstanding records is not recognized by them but they said they are still trying to ascertain his real name.
