POPULAR CONJOINED TWIN, ABBY HENSEL MARRIES US ARMY VETERAN

Abby Hensel, one of the conjoined twins who gained fame on the TLC reality series “Abby & Brittany,” has married Josh Bowling, an U.S. Army veteran!

Abby and her twin sister Brittany, who are dicephalus conjoined twins sharing a torso and organs below the waist, work as fifth grade teachers in their home state of Minnesota.

Their parents, Patty and Mike, decided against separating the twins at birth due to the low chances of both surviving the procedure, and raised them to believe they could achieve anything they set their minds to!

Congratulations to them!

I know you have a lot of questions you would love to ask them.

32-yr-old bank staff commits su***de
bank staff commits su***de

Jan 12, 2024

Uneasy calm pervaded one of the first-generation banks in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, following the recovery of the lifeless body of one of the members of staff, on the floor of the bank’s toilet.

The deceased, identified as Amarachi Ugochukwu, was said to have committed su***de.

A su***de note and an empty can of insecticide she was suspected to have drunk were found on the floor of the toilet.
The late Amarachi, a Marketing staff, according to her colleagues, left her table at about noon, on January 8, 2024, to ease herself.

Her long absence was noticed, after her phone, which she left on the table, repeatedly rang out without response.
Out of curiosity, some of her colleagues were said to have searched for her within the premises.

One of them, who went to search for her in the toilet, was said to have found it locked from inside. Apprehension set it when several knocks on the door were greeted with silence from within.

When the door was forced open, she was found on the floor, motionless.

A 2024 diary in which she wrote the su***de note read: ” Nothing is working in my life. My brain is clogged up. The economy is getting harder. My decisions are wrong. My mind is messed up. The future doesn’t seem bright at all, I see extreme hardship, and I can’t bear the pain anymore. I’m sorry Mom, I’m sorry Dad”…

She further apologized to five other persons, mentioning their names and ended the note with “Dear Lord, have mercy on me”.
Her colleagues said a doctor who was invited, confirmed she was dead.

A team of policemen from the Ikorodu division that visited the scene upon receiving the information evacuated the co**se to the Ikorodu General Hospital for autopsy.

Police sources hinted that the deceased’s family was contacted.

PRESS BRIEFING

PROTEST IN RIVERS ASSEMBLY: POLICE QUEL RIOTOUS GATHERING, AS GOVERNOR ASSESSES DAMAGE TO STATE ASSEMBLY STRUCTURE

Following the receipt of credible intelligence on the intention of some armed group of persons to cause mayhem in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital, particularly at the State House of Assembly on Monday 30th October, and recalling the previous case of arson on the State House of Assembly a day prior which is currently being investigated, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations immediately deployed armed police operatives which he personally supervised in order to intercept the ‘hoodlums’ and ensure the protection of lives and properties within the State House of Assembly facility and its environ.

At the entrance of the Complex, it was observed that youths numbering over a hundred had begun a protest to gain access to the Complex and conduct themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace. This led to the Police deploying non-lethal crowd control equipment including tear gas and water cannon to disperse the riotous and uncontrollable protesters.

However, some minutes later, another aggressive group of persons approached the entrance of the complex and advanced towards the premises. The Police therefore engaged them in like manner but observed that the Executive Governor of the State His Excellency, Siminalayi Fubara, was in their midst.

The presence of the Governor at the scene was of great surprise and shock as there was no prior communication to the Police on the visit of the Governor to the scene of the crime which ordinarily is the usual protocol and complimentary that we accompany his guard for proper safety considering the intelligence of security threat at hand then.

In consideration of this, the DC Ops quickly took deliberate security steps to ensure his protection and safety, while the Governor and his entourage went on to assess the level of damage caused by the fire incident.

Thus, it's pertinent to state that the Police did not deliberately attack the Governor, or even attempt to hurt anyone let alone the Chief Executive and security officer of the state which it's our most essential role to protect as being peddled in the news. Due to the present situation, and the misrepresentation in some sections of the media, it is pertinent to make this clarification.

Similarly, the Rivers State Police Command has emplaced adequate security measures to ensure that the situation de-escalates and total calm is restored in the affected areas.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka, psc, LLB, Ph.D., has urged all residents of the state to go about their lawful duties and support the Police and other security agencies to collectively ensure that absolute peace is restored in Port Harcourt and Rivers State at large.
