I know we talk a lot about niching down and how it will give you a quick traction and helps with your fast growth.
But please, stop and think about what true niching down means.
For instance, Telma decides to start selling pepper down the street.
She actually wants to niche down and be known as the number one pepper seller in the area.
Customers who come to buy pepper from Telma always want to buy spices, but she's just a pepper seller right?
Listen, Telma can sell pepper, spices and other related things, so she doesn't have to leave money on the table.
So when you are trying to niche down, check the size of your market, what is your population power? Is there sustainability?
What are other very close services or product you can offer?
Just like Amina, she's a social media manager: helps business owners manage their businesses online, coach new and aspiring social media managers, helps business owners who can manage their business themselves with social media management tips.
Look at that, Aminat did not confine herself to just the position of a social media manager, what if social media management services don't come her way?
