APC set to release video evidence on Umahi's rival withdrawal from senatorial contest
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state seems set to provide a video evidence of the withdrawal of Mrs Ann Agom-Eze from the primary of its Ebonyi south senatorial seat election.
Investigations carried out indicate that the party in the state is not taking the matter lightly due to the untold embarrassment it has caused it and the state Governor, Chief Engr David Umahi.
A top official of the party in the state disclosed on the condition of anonimity that the party was seeking the leave of its national body to make public the video among other steps to seek legal redress in the matter.
"We àre instituting appropriate legal procedures over the matter because someone who willingly withdrew interest in a matter cannot all of a sudden, turn to claim she never did so.
"This will serve as a deterrent to others who might be tempted to engage in actions that would impune on the party's integrity.
The source noted that the letter of withdrawal already being circulated shows that the governor's rival does not have business in the re-run ordered by the court.
"The video will go on to validate the fact that she withdrew from the contest and the world will definitely know the truth.
"We are however as true party faithful, waiting on the leave of national body to before making the video public.
