Text: Ephesians 5:1-20

Refs: Zechariah 8:23, 1 Peter 2:19, Acts 2:47, Ephesians 1:21, Acts 4:14-16, Colossians 1:27

WHO ARE THE CHURCH?
1. The company of those that are saved (1 Peter 2:9).

i. There are different dispensation and of which the Church is the last. (Zechariah 8:23).

ii. As the Church, we are to carry out the Truth and we must recognize our selves as part of the Church.

iii. We have brought many things into the Church today that are manifesting.

2. The Church are those that are cleansed by the blood and washed by the word of God.

3. The Church are those that are sitted with Christ in Heavenly places (Ephesians 1:21).

WHAT IS THE NATURE OF THE CHURCH?
The nature of the Church is to manifest/display the following:

1. Christ (the Truth).

2. Power (because we have the authority of God) - Acts 4:14-16

3. Love and Holiness (Nature of God) - Galatians 5:22-23

4. Revelation of God's glory -
Colossians 1:27

SERMON BY: Pastor. G.O.A. Alakuko, PhD (Seminary Provost).

MORNING SERMON

B/Text: 1 Timothy 3:1-15

The TRUTH is now nowhere to be found in the Church again, the body of Christ (Church) has been turned to a place of social work or entertainment, it's no longer an avenue where the truth is being displayed and made known to the people.

That's why we are having fake, false and uncultured people who called themselves Man of God in our midst today, twisting the people all around.

In the book of I Timothy, when Apostle Paul was telling his son in Faith, Timothy in case if he tarries long, that the Church should know how to behave themselves.

"But if I tarry long, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth" (1 Timothy 3:15).

The Church is a pillar and ground of truth not of malice, hatred, deceit, greediness, covetousness, fallacy, and many other things, but today we have turned the Church to be these things, which are not expected of us as Christians.

2ND DAY ATTUNING WEEK PROGRAM (10th January, 2024).

Today's Topic: The New Birth As a Basis For Receiving The Truth

B/Text: John 3:1-15

B/Refs: I Timothy 3:15, I Peter 1:22-23, Matthew 5:6, II Corinthians 5:17-21,
I Samuel 10:6,9,26, John 7:50,
John 15:1-10

- What is the Truth?

Jesus Christ is the truth, the word of God is the truth and any mind that dwells on the word of God is the truth.

- The New Birth describes someone a Christian, who has undergone the new birth, as it's very essential; it is a phrase used to describes a Christian, who has the knowledge of the Bible, but knowing it is not the most important thing, but revealing and showcasing the important lessons therein, even to the outside world, through our behaviours and characters.

- The New Birth is a legacy that Christ gave to the Church; even as we believe that Christ Himself is the truth; so therefore, He expects everyone of us to also go outside and manifest these legacies.

- The New Birth is also known as one who has experienced the followings;

i. Spiritual rebirth (a re-born again spiritually).

ii. New life in Jesus Christ

iii. Reconciliation with God

iv. Receiving a new heart.

- We are also tools in the hands of God and only when WE CAN ALLOW HIM TO MAKE USE OF US, is when we have experienced rebirth.

- We must also allow the Holy-Spirit to dealt with us, as teachers of God, we must be born again.

HOW DO WE EXPERIENCE THE NEW BIRTH (John 7:50-53).

i. By the will of the Holy-Spirit.

ii. By the power of the word.

WHY IS NEW BIRTH A BASIS FOR RECEIVING THE TRUTH?

i. Re-birth is very essential as it reveals the truth to desired individuals.

ii. It makes us to understand the truth, i.e. who is the truth (Jesus) - John 4:28-29, John 8:31-59.

iii. It is a urge or desire for receiving the truth - Acts 2:36-47

TACN LATS AYEGBAJU Unveils THE KING'S MESSENGER Movie

The Film Productions Group of The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Theological Seminary, Ayegbaju, Ilesa, Osun State has launched its new movie on Thursday, 02 November, 2023.

The movie which was titled, 'The King's Messenger', had the launching coordinated by the Seminary Bursar, Pastor Michael Asegiemhe, held at the Seminary Chapel.

While speaking on the new movie, the Bursar said, the movie is mainly gospel-related which deals with our servitude relations with our God
and how we should be fully responsible to him, and not doing otherwise.

The Writer and Producer of the movie, Pastor Olajiga Theophilus, while speaking on the lessons behind the movie urged students to always do the right things at the right time, instead of putting other things into it.

"We are messengers and messengers should do whatever he has been sent to do, period. You should face that squarely, as all other things should come later, money will come, if you do the right thing, money will come because the person that was sent instead of that first messenger got money", He said.

Pastor Olajiga, also enjoined students to avoid getting themselves into trouble by refusing to do things which they are supposed to do, just as the king's messenger got himself involved in trouble and was pleading for mercy.

Also, speaking on the lesson behind forgiveness, Pastor Olajiga, said "one can be forgiven of their sins, but it maybe too late, if only you have not been replaced, if you involved yourself in atrocities, in trouble and you're caught, if you want to come back, God might forgive you, but God might have replaced you by another person".

For purchase of the movie, it is available at the various places;

The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Theological Seminary, Ayegbaju, Ilesa, Osun State,

The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA, Territory Headquarters, Olorunda-Ketu, Lagos State, and

Seminary Bursar Urges Students To Pursue Seven Requirements To Successful Life

Seminary Students of The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Theological Seminary Ayegbaju Ilesa Osun State have been urged to pursue at least seven requirements in order to be successful in life.

The Seminary Bursar Pastor Michael Asegiemhe gave these requirements in his sermon on Sunday October 29, 2023 at the Chapel of Excellence Ayegbaju Ilesa Osun State.

Pastor Michael Asegiemhe said Obedience, Discipline, Determination, Endurance, Complete Brokeness, Prayer for Divine Wisdom and Fellowship are the requirements to successful life.

In his sermon with the topic; 'Determination To Succeed in Life' and text taken from Joshua 7:10, said every believer must pass through one challenge or the other in life, so as for them to be successful in life.

Making a reference of success as a wine, the Bursar, said "it looks sweet and also deceitful, however, a believer must be careful with it, so as not to fall."

Pastor Asegiemhe, also enjoined believers via 2 Timothy 2:3, urged them to have endurance as a good soldier of Christ in everything they are doing, as success is surely waiting for them, "Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ".

While also admonishing the congregation, the Seminary Bursar said, "Obedience as a means of following simple instructions, complying to rules, submitting to authorities but not doing this is submitting to dangers. However, what the Lord is asking of your is this and not disobedience.

"Discipline, this is the conscious control of one's life. As one cannot have Holiness without being disciplined. We need to discipline ourselves in these areas in life: Appetite, Emotions, Sex-drive, Internet conversation.

"Determination, as this is what will bring ones dreams to pass; it is also what will bring your goals to achievement.

"Endurance, this is the ability to survive challenges in life, just be patient and you'll get there in life, and success is surely waiting for you", He said.

The Bursar, in his other requirements, listed, "Complete brokenness, Prayer for Divine Wisdom and Fellowship (Acts 2:42)".

God is always good....

26/07/2023

Whatever we are experiencing or facing in Nigeria today is simply the handiwork of God, just as He dealt with the Biblical Israelites.

It's a means to deal with us likewise as we have also been behaving as a Nation, in our bad characters, either as citizens and as leaders.

Therefore, we need to turn away from our bad character and renew our mindset and turn back to God as a Nation.

If we like we should take this as the truth or not. That's the fact!
