We decided to share some videos bothering around the believer and his local church this week.

As our mantra is, you can never learn something unless you're taught.

We all once found ourselves in phases of life where we thought we could "Know God for Ourselves."

There is truly NOTHING like your knowledge or what works for you.

Whatever you think you know was taught to you.

Some believers may have trivialised going to church because of several reasons, hurt, etc.

But, we cannot solve the problem that concerns the church if we are outside the church.

And to be sincere, you will never grow truly when you're all by yourself.

You need to submit to a local church leadership and be committed.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟭

1Thes. 4:16, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and THE DEAD IN CHRIST shall rise first.”

There is this common belief that this passage is referring to those who will rise from the cemetery when Jesus comes again, and it is used to prove the said Rapture. But that is far from the truth of scripture proving, as we see later, that Paul wasn’t talking about Rapture here.

So what does it mean to be DEAD IN CHRIST? Look at this;

Eph. 2:1, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
5 Even when we were DEAD IN SINS, hath quickened us together with Christ.”

From the above scriptures, it is abundantly clear that to be “Dead in sins” simply means that sin is ruling and controlling your life. You are constantly under the influence of sin.

Look at it from the Good News Translation;

Eph. 2:1, “In the past you were spiritually dead because of your disobedience and sins.
2 At that time you followed the world's evil way; you obeyed the ruler of the spiritual powers in space, the spirit who now controls the people who disobey God,” GNT.

So the phrase to be “dead in sin” means to be spiritually dead, not being sensitive to the Spirit yet you are walking around. But once you received the new birth by reason of the Holy Spirit in your spirit, then you are “Dead TO sin.”

Look at the preposition; IN sin or TO sin. That’s what makes the whole difference. And so we read;

Rom. 6:1, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are DEAD TO SIN, live any longer therein?
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be DEAD INDEED UNTO SIN, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Now can you see it clearly? So to be DEAD IN CHRIST (1Thes. 4:16) doesn’t mean you are buried in the cemetery, but rather you are living and walking in the life and power of the Holy Spirit, the New Man in Christ from the death of Adam.

Understand, therefore, that to be buried in the cemetery as a believer means you “SLEEP IN JESUS”(1Thes. 4:13), different from “Dead in Christ.” So this has nothing to do with a supposed Rapture that we have believed for years.

Next shall be “The Dead In Christ Shall Rise First.”

I've been around social media for a long time and there is almost nothing I haven't seen, read or watched on the internet.

And so, it is natural that my passion for God spirals into the media space one way or the other.

I remember 2000..

I was pastoring a church in the city of Ibadan named House of Faith ..

I had just concluded a 13 week series on " Giving and Receiving" and taught it around how to prosper materially ..

Then I visited a friend ,and saw Kenneth E Hagins new book "The Midas Touch "

He couldn't lend me to take away because he was still on it,so I took a "long distance journey "in the rest room , been a fast reader ,I read through every page ..

Lo and behold I found out the core of my teaching on the recently taught series( giving and receiving ) was wrong .

Immediately ,I asked that the series be withdrawn from further distribution .
I publicly corrected what I taught .

No need letting ego get in the way of feeding the flock properly .

This has been my attitude for several years ..

Those I look up to taught me that ..,including my late Dad,
I correct myself too in my teaching .

I counsel every minister no matter how many years in the work ,should realize that those years and it's results don't necessarily count for Rightness

Peter had a rich pre and post Acts 2 ministry experience ,with crowds ,miracles etc
But a MAJOR shift took place after ,In Fact he had to publicly admit this in Acts 15 over 20-25 years rich ministry experience !
In his second epistle he admitted learning from paul ,a far younger minister ,who had earlier rebuked him publicly .

You know why ?
It's not about us but Him,if it's about Him ,it will never be about us..

I pray ,as much as younger ministers be humble to learn and receive godly wisdom from older ones definitely not peddlers,

Older folks stop getting arrogant and stand offish,that when questioned over their teachings ,visions and practices ,they quickly try to intimidate with antiquated historical boasts,material acquisitions etc at times veiled threats and curses

It irritates !

And causes the stomach to go sick !

That's straw man .

It makes you lose your hitherto deserved respect .

Simply explain with scripture and verse ,well explained ,contextually and grammatically .

It's the same way Africans shout down their kids who ask them questions ,and later find same children discover their ignorance elsewhere .

In this media age ,you can't gag many folks for long

Truth will come out and your ignorance ,deceit or error will be found out

It's only a matter of time .

Let's learn to learn ,unlearn and relearn ,

It's the glory of Jesus beyond us all

"HERE AM I, SEND ME!" Is 6:8

I received Jesus on the 13th of December 1975. Three days after I received Jesus, I was out handing tracts on the streets in a hostile Muslim environment. It was the 16th of December 1975. That was when I heard an audible voice behind me that said these exact words in English, "This is what you will do the rest of your life; I will take you all around the world and you will tell people about Jesus".

I took that to be God calling to serve Him full-time, and from then onward there was no stopping me. The way was long and hard, including almost a year in prison for preaching the Gospel, and months wandering from country to country as a refugee.

However, there was one good thing I did: wherever I was, I placed myself under godly leaders and put myself as accountable unto them. They spoke into my life, rebuked me and corrected me when necessary (and it was often, believe me!). I learned not to be offended, and I learned not to do my own thing but to work in the greater context of working together with others who were driven by the same spirit of faith as I was. I developed an impatience for those who did not press forward in faith, those who showed no evidence of Fire and eagerness, and those who were lazy in God's work, and those did not like to take risks but always played it safe.

My leaders made me read the Bible and pray every day. They made me memorize scores of scripture verses. They not only taught me, pushed me, and corrected me, but they also affirmed me and helped me move on to greater responsibilities. I was not the most talented of men, nor was I good academically; in fact, if I was to ask any denomination to send me out as a minister, they would have found me unsuitable.

However I was blessed to be under the mentorship and authority of good leaders who saw "something good" in me worth investing in, and I pressed-on hard in faith in spite of my shortcomings. As a result, I stand where I am today. I am not the most gifted, eloquent, or significant of men, but I have learnt from some of God's best. I have always respected the spiritual authority that God has placed me under, and have pressed forward trusting Him who is faithful. As a result, although I cannot claim to have done anything great or super-significant with my life, I have been blessed to see some fruit come from my life and my ministry.

I am writing all this for ONE reason only: I have seen just too many gifted young men and women who have gone into ministry and have either crashed out, or have never seen much fruit through their ministries. The #1 reason for this is that they have NEVER put themselves under godly spiritual authority nor do they ever listen to anyone. They have no accountability other than "to God alone". Nobody can speak into their lives, because in their minds they hear from God and they know best. They do not lack zeal or sincerity, but they just have not learnt to listen to anyone.

Such men and women have set themselves up for failure.

One thing I must add in conclusion. When it comes to spiritual authority, submit yourself to a pastor and to men and women of God who themselves are Christlike, humble, compassionate, and are known for their lives of prayer. If you make the mistake of submitting yourself to leaders full of charisma but who are controlling, abusive, who use you to promote their own kingdoms, then you are also setting yourself up for disaster. Believe me, I have been there, and I got out when I could!

My friends, who are young ministers with the calling of God upon your your lives, submit to humble and godly men and women of God who have fiery testimonies of faith, who will mentor you, teach you, correct you, and affirm you. Be a lifelong learner. Be a servant. And you will do well and never fail!
