N6 Million Fraud Case: My ordeal with Harrison Gwamnishu - Franklin Ifeanyi Nnaji
On 15th of July 2022 I contacted Harrison Gwannishu via Instagram to help me about a land matter and he responded 16th of July 2022 asking me what happened and I gave him details of what am going through about the land I bought at Owerri, he told me not to panic that he can handle it very well and also will recover the land for me, I was happy and then he said to me that i will pay him 2 million Naira to recover the land, I thought about the charge for a whole day because the charge was too high, but not looking at the amount he charged me I decided to give him what he asked for so that he can do the recovery.
Then he said I should pay 1.5 million Naira first to balance the remaining 500,000 Naira before police mobilization, he sent me a zenith bank account (2089435641 Harrison Gwamnishu Zenith Bank) where I transferred 1.5 million Naira
After few days he told me that the petition is ready that I should balance up the remaining 500k, After paying him the money, he sent someone to Owerri for the case and told me not to give that person any money because I have paid for everything concerning the case the man came to do and also he told me not let the person know how much he charged me, the manβs name is Tony Ibobo!
Immediately the man he sent arrived Owerri, he started asking me for money for mobilization and other things , hotel fee ans all that which I made it clear to him that I donβt even know him that he should contact Harrison for anything he need for the work because I have paid for all.
The man started telling me that Harrison is not giving him any money that he have called him several times for money but he didnβt respond like I paid for work that I should call Harrison myself, I started calling Harrison but he refused to pick my calls and stopped replying my messages for more than 1 month so what I did was to start spending another money since the man he sent is in Owerri, I said let me sort out whatever it is till I hear from Harrison again which led me in spending more than 500k again to the man he sent to work in Owerri after paying him 2 million Naira
After all the expenses and stress the man (Mr. Tony ) he sent couldnβt recover the land after everything then Mr. Tony said to me that the best option is to recover my money from the people I bought land from to save me stress and expenses and I agreed because the stress became too much and I have spent much on cases after buying the land. So what the man did was to arrest the people that sold land to me and hand them over to police mean while all this things happened while Harrison was ignoring my calls and messages because he have collect 2 million Naira completely, Harrison calls me earlier when I havenβt paid him completely but to my surprise he stopped picking my calls immediately after he got complete payments of all the money he charged me.
After the arrest of the land donor, the man started paying refunding me, the first amount they refunded me through the police was 2 Million Naira and I got angry asking the man Harrison sent to work why he accept such amount out of 15 million Naira he said to me to calm down that they gave a near date to bring 3 million which will make it 5 million Naira so I said ok then waited after few days they paid in another 3 million like they promise to so we gotten 5 million recovered already but what the man Harrison sent for recovery transferred to me was 4.2 million Naira out of 5 million Naira I asked him way and he said that the police have taken 10% from the money and I asked him but is still not complete even as the police have taken 10% he said to me that he took 300k and I became angry and started calling Harrison , I called Harrison and disturbed he with messages and calls till he responded to my message and became surprised that we recovered money, immediately Harrison heard that thereβs money recovered he started telling me that what we should do now is to return the money to the people I bought land from that they are supposed to pay all my money once 15 million Naira!
Harrison asked me to return the money to them and I asked him why but he said that I should wait for him to call his lawyer, after few minutes he called me and said that we have to file a law suit and they will pay all my money once I still didnβt find it easy sending the money back to Harrison but he kept calling me that heβs so upset with the way the people are paying me little little money that we should file and get all my money including the money I have spent in buying materials for building and other expenses I did on that land, I said to didnβt agree so easily until Harrison called me with his lawyer and ask the lawyer to explain to me how they want to follow up the court case , the lawyer made it clear while we are on call that once we file that the people will pay all including my expenses and the lawyer immediately asked me to prepare all the receipts π§Ύ and proofs of all the expenses I have made on the land including the I spend during police case.
That little conversation I had on call with the lawyer and Harrison convinced me of sending back the 4.2m Naira to the Acess bank account Harrison provided for the refund to (Access bank (account 0709010647
CHIDERA) what I canβt tell is if it was a planned deal with the lawyer to come on call and convince me but I canβt lie against the lawyer, Harrison brought him on call and didnβt mention the refunding part but only asked the lawyer if itβs possible for us to recover all the money once we file and the lawyer advised based on the question Harrison asked, the lawyerβs advice convinced me enough to believe that Harrison maybe right and based on the trust I didnβt go further questioning his directives!
After sending the 4.2 million to the bank account he provided, few days he came to Owerri with a lawyerans we file the suit but after that they didnβt serve , he went back to Asaba and , I started calling Harrison to make sure we serve but what he did was to send a phone number to me to contact and go with the person to serve the but the person he gave ne his number as the belief he gave me his number never picks call , I called severally but the person didnβt pick and I called back to Harrison and ask him why all the things going that way he said to me that the new year holiday made the belief not to respond that we should wait for them to return to office after new year which I did till they resumed office and I call and asked Harrison why heβs not showing any sign of seriousness about the whole matter even when the court resumed work after new year, he didnβt give me any good answer but said he will call me back , I waited for his call but he failed, I became worrried and started thinking where the money he asked me to refund is, I woke up early morning and called him asking Harrison where is the 4.2 million Naira since heβs not acting serious and I think the best way is to leave the land donor to keep refunding me as he have agreed to pay back and even paid part of the money but Harrisonβs response was that he will come again to Owerri to do all by himself since the belief is not serious but I immediately said no to him while I was on call with him, I said no that he should not bother coming to Owerri that what I need now is that 4.2 million Naira, he said that he returned it to the man who recovered it which is Mr. Tony Ibobo but I tried to reach Mr. Tony to ask him about the 4.2 million Naira and Tony was surprise and angry saying that Harrison should not use his name for such play that he knows nothing about what he said about returning 4.2 million to him that intact that he Will Harrison immediately, after few minutes Tony called me back and said to me that Harrison didnβt pick his calls.
I started writing and calling Harrison asking him about my money and telling him that Mr. Tony denied that he never received such fund from him but Harrison could not reply that question, I kept calling he didnβt pick, I sent several messages he didnβt reply, then I went to his Facebook post to send comment a screenshot from my message with him on WhatsApp with my question asking to respond and tell me whoβs with my money as Tony said heβs not aware of anything like that, which made him block me on his Facebook and he immediately come to my WhatsApp to tell me to stop all this threat that what we need to do now is to withdraw the matter from court before I can get my refund, I asked him why , I asked him is my 4.2 million Naira with the court or where but he couldnβt answer, then what I did was to contact the lawyer who filed the suit to instruct him to withdraw that matter immediately as Harrison said no withdrawal no refund, the lawyer was surprised and asked me why do I have to send 4.2 million Naira to Harrison , I was short of words but I said to the lawyer to withdraw and let me know , now the lawyer have withdrawn the matter and Harrison is aware that case have been withdrawn, I have asked him to give me my money but heβs saying I should go ahead and do whatever I want to do!
Everyone can blame me for sending back the money to Harrison, I made a very big mistake sending back that money , I have blamed myself not only for sending the 4.2m naira to Harrison Gwamnishu but also blamed myself for contacting Harrison in the first place.
