As a student, most times our allowance isn't always enough, cause of many factors you should know of
Which one of the top factor is feeding (cost of foodstuffs)
If you're looking to save more on feeding
Try your best to learn how to cook Garri and soup.
Reason?
-Unlike rice, beans and other commodities, "Garri" should be the cheapest (base on my conclusion)
-The Garri and soup combo is more nutritious than most of the other stuffs(jellof rice etc) that you cook
-If you manage properly, it'll actually last longer than other stuffs you cook
Additional note:
Recently, I learnt how to cook "Obono Soup" thanks to my friend Klevaclops (dunno if I spelt obono correctly)
It's very easy to prepare and it didn't cost me as much as I normally spend on feeding.
Also Just recently I was able to purchase 2 custard bucket (measurement) of Garri @ 1300 per bucket ☕
2 x 1300 = 2600
Why am I doing this calculation?

Then after buying things to use to cook the rice you should be spending up to N6000 on the rice (estimate) (I'll spread the calculation in comment section) ⬇
My main purpose of all this write up is to advise you to try to learn how to cook a soup, cause it'll save you more money on feeding.. 🍕
We already know that things are hard.. We can make it easier with little things we do. 🖤🖤

Court Convicts Woman for N47m Fraud in Lagos
Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, March 27, 2023, convicted one Adanu Blessing Ajumi, who was prosecuted for N47m fraud.
Adanu, who is accused of trading under the name and style of Emerald Multipurpose Cooperative Society to defraud her victims in a purported agribusiness scheme, was charged with two counts bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, contrary to Section 1(1) and 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006, and stealing, contrary to Section 278 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos 2011.
She pleaded "not guilty" to the charges when she was arraigned on December 19, 2019, thereby leading to her trial that commenced on September 14, 2020.
In the course of the trial, the prosecution counsel, S.O. Daji, called three witnesses through whom several documentary evidence were tendered and admitted by the court against her.
The defence counsel, Peter Ola, called four witnesses, including the defendant who testified as the fourth witness.
However, the defendant stopped appearing in court upon the closure of her defence on June 30, 2022.
In view of this, Daji, at the proceedings of November 3, 2022, applied to the court to revoke the bail of the defendant and allow the trial to continue in absentia.
During the November 3, 2022 sitting, there was no objection from her counsel, O. Ajanaku, in court.
Justice Dada, therefore, revoked the bail earlier granted the defendant and further issued a bench warrant for her arrest.
The Judge also ordered that the EFCC declare her wanted.
On December 2, 2022, when the final addresses were to be adopted by both parties, Adanu was, again, absent, as Daji informed the court that frantic efforts were still being made to secure her arrest.
Daji, citing Section 14 (4) of the Criminal Law of Lagos Society, had urged the court to continue with the adoption of the final written addresses.
Following the adoption of the final written addresses by both parties, Justice Dada adjourned for judgment.
Delivering judgment today, Justice Dada dismissed the argument of the defence that the charges emanated from "contractual disputes that are purely civil in nature".
The trial judge also held that, based on the evidence before the court, including the statements made by the defendant during interrogation, the prosecution effectively proved all the essential ingredients of obtaining by false pretence and stealing.
The trial judge further noted that, as argued by the prosecution, most economic and financial crimes arise from transactions that have a semblance of contractual transactions, but along the line, "a lot of factors come in to derail the smooth sail, when the heart of man begins to dialogue with the devil to outsmart another person and he succumbs to it."
The court further noted that her oral testimony in court that the agribusiness was affected by flooding and Fulani herdsmen attacks were "an after-thought."
The Judge held that "She wanted to be living big at the expense of other people without counting the cost.
"Although the defendant seems to have absconded, having jumped the bail graciously granted her by this court, the truth is that she cannot run away from justice.
"From the foregoing, therefore, the evidence before the court clearly shows that the case against the defendant has been proved beyond every reasonable doubt on the two counts of obtaining the sum of N47, 575, 000.”
Consequently, Justice Dada declared the defendant guilty as charged on the two counts.
Her sentencing was, however, deferred in accordance with the Section 321 and 352 (5) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, in conjunction with Section 278 (1) of the ACJL 2015, "until when she is apprehended and brought before this court".

A week ago, I was told that a new tenant moved into our house.
They said the tenant is a handsome young boy.
Yesterday, I decided to go over to see him and to say "Hi".
He flung his door open after minutes of my knocking, and looking confused, muttered, "Hello?"
"Hi. I'm Ben, your neighbour," I said.
"Oh," he said. "I'm Chidiebere Wisdom Daniel."
"Well, Chidiebere, I just came over to welcome you into the house, and to invite you to my party," I said.
"Okay, no problem," he replied. "What time and day?”
“The party is tonight, 9 pm sharp,” I answered. "But I have to warn you, there will be drinking and smōking.”
“No problem,” said Chidiebere. "I drink.”
“Well, there may also be some fīghting," I confessed.
Chidiebere paused, thinking it over. After some seconds, he said, "Ok. I can handle myself sha.”
“Good,” I hailed. "Annnd, lastly, there will probably be some fūcking and sēx.”
Beaming with a smile, Chidiebere asked, "Who and who is coming?”
"Oh! Just me and you.”

KISS OF LIFE" 💕💕💕
In 1968, the author received the Pulitzer Prize for this photograph - one of the most prestigious awards in the United States, which is awarded for achievements in music, cinema, theater and journalism.
The picture shows two electricians, Randall Champion and Jay Thompson, hanging from a power pole. That day there was a strong heat and nothing foreshadowed trouble. The hum of air conditioners in July 1967 was heard throughout the state of Florida. Because of them, in the city of Jacksonville, there was an overload of power lines, and this caused a power surge.
Randall and Jay were doing routine maintenance on a live line when Randall accidentally touched one of the wires. A discharge of 4000 V passed through the body and his heart stopped. For understanding: during the ex*****on in the electric chair, a voltage of 2000 V is used
Randall's lifeless body hung from the harness. But his partner Jay did not lose his head, realizing that every second is precious, he began to give him artificial respiration right on the pole. It was very inconvenient, but there was no other way out. In such a situation, it is difficult to conduct a normal resuscitation, but Jay still tried to start his friend's heart until he had a weak pulse.
Only after that he unhooked his partner's insurance and, throwing him over his shoulder, went down to the ground. By the time the rescuers arrived (they were called by professional photographer Rocco Morabito, who happened to be at the scene), Champion was already conscious on the ground.
Not only was he saved, thanks to Thompson, but he lived another 35 years. The electrician died in 2003 at the age of 64.
Thompson is alive today.

"Chidi, wake up!" Mama called as she tapped my leg.
I woke up with a yawn and stretched. She tapped my legs again.
"Mama what is it nau?" I snapped at her as she woke me up from my quick nap. I smelled the aroma of the sumptuous meal that was placed on the desk in my room.
It was my favorite food - a mixture of Egunsi and ogbono soup with Fufu big enough to fill two people.
She only prepared it on special occasions like my birthday. That's right, I was having my birthday that day and I had totally forgotten about it.
I looked at mama with tears in my eyes, she was reminding me of it with my favorite meal.
"Why is this boy not awake yet?" Mama asked and hit me harder this time around.
She frowned and adjusted herself and tapped me again.
"Mama, I'm awake na!" I told her but she didn't hear me.
I tried to touch her but my hand passed through her.
She dragged my body from the bed while I just sat there in confusion, not grasping the situation.
"Chidiebere, wake up, mama is here!" She screamed and yanked my body aggressively but I wasn't waking up.
I finally understood, I wouldn't be able to eat the meal mama prepared.
I diéd on my birthday, leaving mama alone to strive in pain all by herself.

According to the portal, the results are as follows:
LP won 19 states + FCT.
PDP won 8 states.
APC won 7 states.
NNPP won 2 states.

My mum gave birth to four boys in my family. I have always wished I had a sister but my Mum said she wasn’t trying again.
I finished command in 2017, my elder brother finished in 2013 then he started working.
He tried jamb two times but Unilag didn’t give him admission then he started working in a company that paid him 40k monthly.
Some months when I was about to leave command my brother saw the need to enter the University then he tried writing jamb and scored 254, and he applied for communication art.
Months passed then he went to write the P/UTME in Unilag then he scored above average. We were so happy. They started bringing out the admission list, but he didn’t see his name until they brought out the last list that was when he saw his name.
When it was time for him to leave for school my mum gave him a list of things to go to the market. She was so tired to go. She handed him N18,000 naira.
My brother called his friend to accompany him to the market.

Later my brother and his friend were at the Alaba International market in Lagos....they were going to and fro buying different things.
They got to a shop that sold gadgets, and my brother's friend wanted to buy a Bluetooth speaker.
My brother sat close to where they hung cables and cords, he was with a big bag that contained different items they had gotten.
He kept it on the floor.
His friend bought the speaker then they left the shop.
A few minutes later some guys were running after them shouting ‘ole! ole!! ole!!!’ “Stop those boys.”
They checked my brother's bag and realized that a cord was in his bag.
He was surprised then he asked, “Who kept this in my bag?”
He was told to shut up and that he’s a thièf. They started bèàting him. He struggled with them and asked, “Wetin I do?”
They were still trying to understand what was happening.
It was still a joke till they brought tyres and set him ablaze immediately.
He was burnt alive in the market.

Obi Files Suit At Presidential Election Petition Tribunal
The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has filed a suit at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, Abuja against the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress as the winner by the electoral commission.
The petition seen by our reporter is marked CA/PEC/02m/2023 with Obi and the LP as plaintiffs, while the Independent National Electoral Commission, Bola Tinubu, and the APC are the defendant.

He has contested in the presidential elections five times, in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019 and again in 2023 the 6th time and lost still. This is the practical definition of the word "CONSISTENCY", unfortunately, in FAILURE.

7 FACTORS THAT MADE TINUBU BECOME PRESIDENT.
It's official that the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been announced the winner of the 2023 election.
However, while the party faithfuls are rejoicing, this result has generated widespread condemnation and revolt from opposition and a lot of displeased Nigerians.
Here are 7 FACTORS that made Tinubu become President, despite all odds:
1. MASSIVE RIGGING
Even though the ruling party have vehemently denied having rigged the election,there were a lot of reports of electoral malpractice, sheer disenfranchisement and violence in many areas of the nation on election day. The hotspot included Tinubu's Lagos, Wike's Rivers, and many other states.
2. PDP'S SURPRISING PERFORMANCE
PDP was definitely underrated. Due to the unprecedented popularity of Labour Party candidate Peter Obi, people placed him as the forefront favourite to win the election, and Tinubu his closest possible rival. However, the reverse was the case as Peter Obi came third, close behind Atiku Abubakar of PDP.
3. LOW TURN OUT OF VOTERS
One would have assumed that with the high degree of political awareness all over social and mass media, an unbelievable number of people would come out to vote. Unfortunately, out of 93 million registered voters an more than 70 million collected PVCs the number of voters were less than 40 million.
4. THE BETRAYAL OF INEC.
INEC helped the rigging of the election, no doubt. They faulted their own rules by calling results after collating results manually instead of electronically, and went ahead to announce the winner even though there were citings irregularities.
5. THE CONNIVANCE OF WIKE AND OTHER GOVERNOR'S
Nyesom Woke of Rivers State is the least favourite governor to Nigerians right now. Who could have believed the reason he kept mute about who he's supporting is so he will help APC rig elections?
6. THE BUHARI FACTOR
This same Buhari that promised free and fair election was the first to congratulate Tinubu. He didn't even say anything about the allegations of malpractice and irregularities. Na so them dey take do things?
7. THE SILENT ALLEGIANCE OF THE WEST/NORTH
Tinubu swept the votes in the South West, and only lost Lagos with a little margin. Even though there were speculations that the West are for Obi, they were just silent, knowing who they'll vote for.
The North on the other hand, turned out for Atiku, only giving Tinubu and Obi a considerable portion.
Whatever happens next will be of direct consequence to these factors mentioned above.
People say politics is a game of numbers. Did the numbers really win the game, or it was a game of fraud?
