Woman flogs granddaughter to death, dumps body in bush
A 37-year-old woman, Udeogu Chinelo has been arrested by operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Anambra State Command for allegedly flogging her three-year old grand daughter to death.
The suspect, from Enugwu-Ukwu but married in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area was arrested in a primary School in Awka where she had earlier enrolled the deceased, Ifechukwu and had gone to collect back the school fees she paid for her.
The Nation gathered that the deceased had suffered convulsion after she was thoroughly flogged by the suspect who claimed to have rushed her to the hospital where she died.
Confirming the incident, NAPTIP Public Relations Officer, Okafor Anthony said the victim reportedly died on September 29, 2022.
He added that the suspect claimed the deceased was her granddaughter.
He said, "NAPTIP Anambra State Command arrested a 37yr old female suspect in Awka on the 5th October, 2022 for the offence of Child Abuse/inflicting grievous harm on a child, an offence prohibited in Human Trafficking Act.
"While being questioned on the whereabout of the victim, she disclosed that the victim had died. The suspect lead the operatives of NAPTIP to the scene where she disposed the body of the victim.
"On arriving the scene, the victim’s decomposing body was found wrapped in a black nylon bag where the suspect dumped her in the bush around Hezekiah D**e Crescent Awka.
"The suspect was immediately handed over to the Police by NAPTIP Anambra State Command to investigate the death of the victim."
Reacting, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the case has been transferred to state CID for a discretion investigations.
He said, "On the incident about a woman, Chinelo Udogu, who allegedly flogged a 3year old child to death and dumped her body in a bush at Amikwo, Awka, she has been arrested and the victim’s body recovered.
"The lesson for us to learn is that we should be cautious when angry and desist from going physical when correcting our children."

A middle-aged man, Onyedinka Esiala, has been caught using children s¥ffering from fake stomach t¥mour to beg for alms in Lagos State.
Esiala, from Enugu Sate, was exposed by a passerby identified as Benefit, at Mile 2 area of the state on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. While speaking with Vanguard, the suspect claimed that his alleged boss, Uche, initiated the sc@m and gives the children unknown dr¥gs to make their stomachs swell.
He alleged that Uche brings kids to Lagos every year he travels to the Eastern part of the country. “My name is Onyedinka and I am from Enugu State. My oga is Uche. When I came from the village, I did not get any work to do; then he told me to be helping him to be taking these children out for begging.
"Whenever I am about to take the kids from Orile to Mile 2 pedestrian bridge, my Oga will give them dr¥gs though I don’t know the name of the medicines which will make their stomach get swollen for some hours, and the kids’ mothers are aware of the business. Their mothers stay in the village.
The children were staying with them in the village before they gave them to my Oga to come to Lagos. The girls are not my sisters, but their mother often brings them to my Oga. Some kids stay a year with us, and half of the money made from begging is sent to their mothers in the village. My Oga does give them black dr¥gs. I don’t know the name of the dr¥gs. My Oga did not tell me the name but it’s a black dr¥g.
My Oga brought one of the kids last year December while the other girl has spent three months with us. There is a boy among them but did not come today because he is not feeling too well. We do not come every day. We sometimes come three times in a week.”
However, after thorough questioning, Oyedinka was taken to the Nigeria Police Station Area E, Festac and handed over to the police for further interrogation.

Man arrested for luring a 14-yrs-old girl via the internet, abd , r@ping and impregnating her five times in Akwa Ibom State
The Police in Eket Area Command have arrested a 37-year old man from Ibeno Local Government Area, Mr. Honest Okon Ufokiko for allegedly kidn@pping and trafficking a 14-years-old girl, Miss Enobong Udotai.
Mr. Ufokiko was arrested by the police crack team led by Inspector Wisdom Ndak over the week sequel to a petition by the Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) to the Police Commander of Eket Area Command after the victim went to the Organization and registered her complaints.
The victim who is an orphan of both parents from Effoi, Eket accused the culprit of luring her over the internet while claiming to be her biological father. She said she was in a government orphanage home in Uyo and a student of Connelly Cornelia College Uyo and was billed to write her final Senior Secondary Certificate Exams of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), when the suspect lured and kidn@pped her in 2019.
She said the suspect didn’t only r@pe her, but had impregnated her five times as well as f%rced her to carry out ab%rtions three consecutive times, one of which almost cost her life. She equally told the Police that Mr. Ufokiko often f%rced her to sleep with different men since she was kidn@pped while he collected the proceeds and when she gave birth to a child he f%rced it on one of his clients who is a high profile politician in the State and cœrced him to be paying monthly child support to him.
Miss Enobong further told the Police that when she got tired of being in captivity, she wanted to flee but Mr. Ufokiko r¥ffled and m@nhandled her. This caused her body inj¥ries, fr@ctured her left arm even when he knew she was carrying a two-month old pregnancy and was only rescued by neighbors when he wanted to str@ngle her. Meet Dawson : The Man Who Faked Being Deaf And Dumb For 62 Years To Avoid Talking To His Wife.
A man from Waterbury in Connecticut faked being deaf and dumb for 62 years to avoid talking to his wife. 84-year old Barry Dawson never spoke a single word in front of his 80-year old wife Dorothy during their 62 years of marriage.
Upon learning about her husband’s decades-old deception, Dorothy filed for divorce. She said it took her 2 years to learn to communicate with hands so she could talk with her husband. She learned the truth via a Youtube video in which Barry was seen dancing and singing during a karaoke night in a bar.
“When he was at home, that j*** always faked being deaf. It wasn’t until I saw a Youtube video of him singing during a karaoke night in a bar while he was supposed to be at a meeting for a charity, that I understood everything.”
Dawson’s lawyer said that his client is quiet, but not a cheat otherwise he would not have stayed in the relationship for 62 years. He said the man wanted to save the relationship because his wife was ‘annoyingly talkative’ and had he not stayed quiet, their marriage would not have lasted more than 2 years.
Interestingly, Dawson’s family members also thought he was deaf and dumb. The couple still raised six children and has thirteen grandchildren, all of whom were also convinced that Dawson was deaf.
Dawson’s wife has decided to take him to court and demanded financial compensation for the ‘emotional stress and burden’ caused by his deception.

25-yr-old heavily pregnant dr dealer arrested with 82 pinches of m€th
A 25-year-old pregnant woman, Haruna Favour, has been arrested with 82 pinches of m€thamphetamine by operatives of the National Dr Law Enforcement Agency in Auchi, Edo State.
NDLEA’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, made this known in a statement on Sunday, September 11, in Abuja.
According to the statement, the suspect was arrested on Friday, September 9, with the illicit dr as well as various quantities of Loud, Arizona, and Colorado variants of cann@bis as well as codeine-based cough syrup.

It was gathered that the deceased who were friends were on August 28, returning from a birthday party when the ghastly acc occurred in Pretoria, South Africa
A source reports, “The three of them had attended a birthday party and decided to go pick up Akinjopo’s daughter at a location when the unfortunate incident happened.

Skit maker, Oga Sabinus survives auto crash
Popular Nigerian skit maker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, also known as Oga Sabinus has survived a car accident on Sunday morning.
Video of the crash which happened Sunday morning is currently circulating on social media.
Confirming the incident, Sabinus stated that he is safe and sound.
He wrote on his Instagram page, “Safe and sound, thank you for the calls and care.”
Oga Sabinus, also on his Instagram Live some minutes after the incident, assured his fans that he is safe and well.
Sabinus said, “For the people calling, I am receiving messages. I am okay. Don’t be afraid. The only thing I keep saying is people should avoid drinking before driving. It is the first time I will be seeing a car driving in one lane, and another car in another lane drive into the other lane and scatter the motor.”
