Obazu: PG hails Gov Uzodimma for restoring peace in their community

The President General of Obazu autonomous community in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state,Barr. Michael Eze Asoro,has expressed gratitude to the Imo state Governor,Senator Hope Uzodimma, for restoring peace in his community and assured that his administration will maintain the tempo while working on initiatives that would ginger development of Obazu community.

Barr. Michael Eze Asoro made the remarks in his acceptance speech after the inauguration of members of his Town Union executive by the leadership of Obazu community on Friday,July 14, 2023 at the Obazu Community squre.

Barr. Eze Asoro also expressed gratitude to the sole administrator of Mbaitoli local government. Hon chinasa Hamilton Opara for the peaceful and intelligent disposition used to bring prace to Obazu..

He assured that his executive will work harmoniously with all stakeholders across board in the course of sustaining peace in the community. He said his administration will strive hard to conduct a credible election within six months and as well engage engage the Youths and women to imbibe good cultural values of the shared prosperity administration.

Speaking earlier, a notable leader from the community, Prof Chinedu Asinu-Anosike, tasked the new town union executives to focus more emphasis on projects that will enhance the development of the community and re orientate the Youths on the vitality of embracing skillaqusation and education as common measures of creating self employment and overcoming hunger.

The sole administrator of the local government, Hon. Hamilton Opara, who was present, urged the newly elected executive of Obazu Town
Union] to always approach the local government for necessary advice and support at any point in time they have serious challenge.
Moreso,to work harmoniously with their traditional institution but must avoid encroaching on matters relating to tradition and culture of the people,since that are the sole responsibility of the traditional rulers.

Ugochukwu Uwajumogu's Appointment: Kudos To President Bola Tinubu

It is apt to say that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stepped out on the right footing.

President Tinubu has demonstrated experience and capacity as a seasoned democrat, politician and administrator, by painstakingly appointing technocrats and accomplished bureaucrats into his government.

One of such appointments is President Tinubu's gracious appointment of Mr. Ugochukwu Uwajumogu as a Special Adviser to the President. Indeed President Tinubu deserves resounding kudos for his foresight in the choice of Ugochukwu Uwajumogu, a technocrat devoid of past political daint, as well as possessing the credentials, capacity, character and competence to add value to the concerted efforts of the his administration to steer the ship of the Nigeria state out of her socio-economic woods.

So far, Ugochukwu Uwajumogu's appointment has elicited excitement among citizens of Imo State and Nigeria at large.

What is more, Ugochukwu Uwajumogu comes from the popular and respected Uwajumogu family in Ihitte-Uboma LGA of Imo State, noted for their track record of excellence in public service, integrity and philanthropy.

While President Tinubu must be commended for fitting a round peg in a round hole, there is no doubt Mr. Ugochukwu Uwajumogu's appointment by the president, will benefit Imo state, Southeast and Nigeria, even as it is expected to reinforce the confidence of the people of Imo state and southeast in the present APC-led Federal Government in the country.

Mbaitoli Assembly Seat :
For Ahaneku and Labour Party, Character Is Everything

Character is everything. Yes! Character is all. There is a particular saying that if you lose money, you have lost nothing; but if you lose character, you have lost everything.

The first United States president, George Washington, was quoted as saying that no one can rule a country rightly
without God and the Holy Bible. Jesus Christ gave a serious injunction to his disciples, charging them to above all, "Learn from his humility."

Similarly, the Bible book of Proverbs says: "Have you seen the man DILIGENT with his work, he shall stand before kings."

Hon Emeka Ahaneku who is flying the Labour Party flag for Mbaitoli House of Assembly seat in 2023, has over the years, left no one in doubt as to his consistency of character, humility, accessibility, focus and unassuming disposition. Indeed the adjectives, "humble and humane," are twin metaphors for the name, "Emeka Ahaneku." One wonders who in Mbaitoli that does not know this fact.

And equally imbued in the sterling qualities of Emeka Ahaneku aside his infectious humility and respectfulness, remain the virtues of hardwork and fear of God.
This perhaps explains his ability to tread the delicate path of political appointments when he successfully served as chief priest secretary and media aide to two different speakers of the Imo House of Assembly, in addition to serving also as an aide at the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Except for the naysayers, one wouldn't bother asking if it was possible for an arrogant, haughty fellow to be reappointed to an office where he previously served. Ahaneku has nothing more to prove in terms of being likeable and possessing an appreciable character.

But of more relevance to the flowing discourse, is the imperative of these sterling qualities to a successful representation whether in the state or National Assembly.

In his honest assessment of Hon Emeka Ahaneku recently, Distinguished Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi representing Imo East (Owerri Zone) in the Senate of the National Assembly, noted that the Mbaitoli Labour Party candidate for Imo House of Assembly seat natural cuts an image and exudes the character of a born legislator or parliamentarian.
This is no mean assessment, if you like approval coming from a high class lawmaker who has seen it all in both chambers of Nigeria's federal legislature.

For Barr Kingsley Onunuju, (a former Commissioner in Imo State, a former this and that), Ahaneku represents the ideal Assembly man that Mbaitoli state constituency desires so much. Mbaitoli people are no kids, they know who is who.

By now, and given that Mbaitoli constituency presently has lost her voice in the Imo House of Assembly through poor representation, it must be reiterated here, and clearer too, that unnecessary "garagara" and arrogant displays are not what is needed for a successful representation, or for attracting the much-craved projects or dividends of democracy.
Thus reinforcing the indispensability of excellent character and mien for a smooth navigation through the tricky, bumpy terrain of the state or National Assembly.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a notable Imo-based newspaper publisher and former chief press secretary, CPS, to speakers of the Imo House of Assembly, Hon Emeka Ahaneku has emerged the candidate of the Labour Party for Mbaitoli state constituency.

Until his emergence, Hon Ahaneku who is the publisher of Imo Breaking News newspaper, has worked as media aide to different speakers of Imo House of Assembly and consulted for various political office holders in the state.

The news of Ahaneku's emergence as Labour Party candidate for Mbaitoli state constituency come 2023, has been greeted with joy among Mbaitoli constituents who described him as experienced, humane, accessible and above all, God-fearing.

They equally described his choice of Labour Party as apt and well-informed.

Hon Ahaneku hails from Mbieri, the area where stakeholders zoned the ticket for the 2023 House of Assembly seat of Mbaitoli state constituency.
