Rhoda Jatau who was illegally arrested and locked up for 18 months in Bauchi, for asking for justice for Deborah Yakubu, who was murdered by an Islamic mob in Sokoto State, finally regains freedom.

Rhoda was released on bail yesterday night, on Friday 8th December 2023, following interventions by the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council and the Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria.

Rhoda has been illegally locked up since May 2022 for condemning the murder of a Christian, Deborah Yakubu, by an Islamic mob in Sokoto State.

Deborah, a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was brutally murdered after advising against sending religious materials on a WhatsApp page.

Rhoda Jatau illegal arrest in Bauchi has caused religious tensions as it was stated she was being charged under Sharia law, for condemning the death of a Christian in Sokoto, who was murdered by an Islamic mob.

JJC Skillz, the husband of actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, has announced that their marriage is over.
In a post on his Instagram page on Thursday, JJC Skillz said he moved out of the house three months ago and they had been leading separate lives.
He said, “Dear Friends and family, I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children.
“The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now. Three months ago and at Funke’s insistence, I moved out of the house and apart from AMVCA have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss the future of our relationship.
“I'm making this announcement so that the public is clear that we both are pursuing separate lives. After independence, in order to build a great nation, each country went to work. But in Nigeria, after independence, our people went to pray and fast.

So, while we were praying, Malaysia came here and took our palm seedlings and build a great factory of it.

While we were praying, Singapore went into investment in technology.

While we were praying, India went into ICT.

While we were praying, China went to massive industrialization.

While we were shouting Allah Alakuba! UAE went into massive infrastructural development.

While we were binding and casting Lucifer, Japan went into technological development.

While we were speaking in tongues, Denmark went into education of her citizens.

While we were mounting big speakers in our places of worship, USA was mounting man on the moon.

After our prayers, God, being a wise God decided to reward us according to our labour.

Since those that went into industrialization, technology, infrastructural development, ICT, education etc had been rewarded accordingly. It’s only wise God rewards us with our efforts in prayers.

That’s why today, Nigerian pastors are competing in building the biggest churches. That’s why there are more prayer houses and worship places than hospitals and schools. That’s why people rush to prayer houses for medical and business solutions instead of hospitals.
That’s why we don’t do business proposals before jumping into business since we are going to back it up with prayers. And when such collapse, we blame devil.

That’s why it’s a sin to say anything negative about pastors and imams.

That’s why our pastors don’t consider the opinion of engineers while building and blame devil when the building collapsed.

That’s why faith in God replaces building pillars and when it collapsed we blame it on Lucifer.

That’s why our pastors are making sure they plant church branches instead of schools in every street in Nigeria.

That’s why we always wait for God to do that which ability to accomplish He has already handed over to us.

That’s why we want our teachers to labour on earth and come to heaven for their rewards.

Nigeria is a prayer loving, God fearing nation. Religion has taken the place of technology, infrastructure, education and all.

When we are traveling, we ignore all the necessary road requirements, servicing of our vehicles and pray. And, once we pray, we can put a half fit vehicle on the road and blame our step mother or mother in law if anything goes wrong.

That’s why there are more people dying on our roads than wild life animals in the wilderness.

Because, we pray and fast and leave everything to God when God has given us all we need to survive and build a nation…….

Buoyed by the Media reception accorded them, members of Boko Haram/ISWAP attempted to enter Biu today being Armed forces remembrance day 🤣🤣🤣.

I'm happy they met angry troops dealing with the anguish of the fallen heroes we are remembering today.

The casualty figure is better imagined. I know this is not the kind of news that enemies of this country want to hear, but I can assure you that aside from the dead bodies they left behind as they scampered to safety, they also left a great deal of their heavy machineries including gun trucks.

WHAT IS CHARITY?

When I moved to my work location, I and some of my colleagues will pack ourselves to this restaurant to eat. And as we are filing out after filling our stomachs, some of my generous colleagues as well as many other customers will give money to some beggars who always position themselves in front of the shop. I knew it made them feel good. But I never joined them in this charitable act!

Meanwhile, there's an old woman selling wares which could total to not more than 2k in front of the shop. My guys will neither buy anything from her nor give her anything. One day, I asked to buy all her Banana. My friends started complaining that the Bananas are not the nice kind and that they know a place where I could buy good ones. I ignored them and paid 2k for 300 Naira worth of Banana!

My guys were dumbfounded. As we left the place, I saw some street urchins begging for alms so I handed out the Bananas to them! That day, the ride back to our hotel rooms was not the usual raucous kind. And I cradled a smile!

My friends had learnt a humbling lesson, howbeit without a single word spoken!
The next day, we visited the restaurant again and my friends gave all their alms to the old woman without even picking anything from her wares. Mama has gained the customers that the beggars lost!

Som**hing similar happened to I and my elder brother in the market one fateful December when we went to buy a few chickens for the family meal! After buying the chickens, the young man that will slaughter and prepare them for us said his fee will be 500. Big bros asked that he brings it down to 350 for which he accepted with a big smile. While we were waiting for the guy working the chickens, one very unkempt ruffian walked up to us to beg for som**hing to buy food! After what looked like a-forever moment of thought, bros gave the guy 200.

Shortly after, the guy working on the chickens arrived with them and I gave him 500. As the guy made to give us change, I asked him to keep it! Bros understood what happened!

Many times, we believe that giving money to beggars is synonymous with charity but will want to press petty traders for the last bit of profit margin! Unknown to us, many of these beggars are property owners with huge cash deposits in banks!

SALT DOES NOT KILL SNAKES! I REPEAT, SALT DOES NOT KILL SNAKES!!

Salt does not repel snakes. I wonder the quantity of salt you want to pour in your toilets if at all it does to repel snakes. Would you run a whole bag into your sewage system? And how often will you keep doing that? I mean the salt pouring. In time past, people drank salt in unimaginable quantities due to ebola or so. Some people died of excessive salt intake rather than ebola.

We are in an exciting era where we can easily access information via simple google; at least, we could get the general perspective. Well, I would advise you to block the holes where these reptiles can gain access to your plumbing pathway. Clear your house and keep it clean, check and ensure your doors are adequately fitted amongst others, and you may not need to worry about pouring salt into your WC. Inspect your sewage tanks for possible deterioration and holes for any potential repairs.

I hope you create a healthy environment for yourself and your community. Always crosscheck social media solutions that are not verified. Ronald Reagan once said, "trust but verify." Kindly verify every piece of information you have.

Mkpurummiri has become a serious issue in the southeast with thousands of Igbo youths addicted to the drug.

Mkpurummiri is the Igbo slang name for a very dangerous hard drug called M**hamphetamine or Crystal M**h.

It Looks like Ice Block and can be blue in color sometimes. Mkpurummiri is known by experts to be one of the hardest drug addictions to treat.

It is very addictive and affects the central nervous system of whoever takes it. It creates a feeling of massive happiness that is very addictive and makes the taker want to fly.

When the effect wears off, the taker tries to have that feeling again thereby taking it again.

How Can You Know Someone Who Is Addicted
