After a whole day of working on my content, I decided to take a walk to stretch my legs.
With my phone and an ear piece, I walked along my street, about to enter the next street when my eyes caught a crowd of persons waiting on a queue to get what they wanted.
At first, I was like, "This is amazing".
I moved closer to see who the owner is, and I was so surprised.
"Wow, she has really grown, and is still growing".
I knew Mma Comfort, she is a wife and a mother of four kids. Her husband does not have a steady job, and they were struggling financially.
I was at home, when she came to see my mum, and just wanted to talk to someone about her issues. My mum told her to start something small such as Akara and bread business and grow from there.
As at that time, my mum was just saying, my mum didn't actually think she would take that advise.
Mma Comfort did actually run with that idea, and she started with the little she had. It was quite small but she was consistent. Akara and bread business requires a lot of discipline, one has to wake up early to prepare and get ready for business if she wanted to sell because Akara and bread is mainly for breakfast.
She was doing it consistently, with encouragement from my mum. Her children and husband also supported her in the business, and it was growing.
In less than 6 months, she had already moved from an umbrella stand to a koisk - a container, which was a lot better. She was still doing it, and life was getting better for her and her family.
From that kiosk, she moved to a rented building where she now sells food and other related items making the place quite busy every time of the day.
She even has staff now, and she is looking more pretty than ever.
Now, have you noticed the difference between Sarah (in my last post) and Mma Comfort?
It's more of self-discipline.
