We Will Not Allow Chinese Doctors Treat Our Patients - Nigerian Doctors

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), and the National Association of Resident Doctors of Nigeria (NARD), have said that they will not allow the Chinese doctors who arrived Nigeria on Wednesday evening attend to any patient.

Recall that the 15- medical team from china arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, today with warm welcome by Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Zhou Pingjian; Executive Director, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, Mr Jacques Liao as well as senior officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health.

However, NMA and NARD described any attempt by the Chinese medical team to manage any patient as unethical and illegal.

The president of NMA, Dr. Francis Faduyile, said, “Our stand has not changed and we still insist that there is nothing that they (Chinese) want to offer that can improve what we have on ground.

“There are so many things that we need to put into consideration because it is a war affecting ordinary Nigerians, and sometimes you look at the risk and benefits.

“Our members will look at what is on ground; if we are doing what we are doing and they (Chinese) do not interfere with us, we will continue doing what we are doing for Nigerians.

“We cannot now precipitously make a decision. We are an Association that is bounded by ethics, and rules. In a very short while, you will hear our decision”

Similarly, the president of NARD, Dr. Sokomba Aliyu, said, “The representatives of the government had stated some days back that the Chinese experts are coming to donate some personal protective equipment – ventilators etc. for us.

”We do not have anything against people coming to make donations. They also stated that they are coming to install those ventilators they brought with them, which again we do not have problems with.

“But we have categorically stated that the Chinese can’t attend to any Nigerian for whatever reason because this is unethical and illegal. The Chinese do not have the license to practice in Nigeria. And we do not need their hands as we are not overwhelmed and can take care of our patients.

“So far, they have also stated that they are not coming to attend to patients, so we cannot say categorically if their words are anything to go by. While they have gone ahead to welcome the Chinese, we are hopeful that the Chinese will have nothing to do with our patients because if they proceed to involve the Chinese in the management of our patients, we will just leave the patients for the Chinese to continue managing.

“As it is now, we are going to be watchful and wait for them to see how far they are engaging the Chinese, and to what extent they are going to be managing our patients.

“If they proceed to get them to do whatever it is with our patients, then, we will just let them have the patients and whatever comes out of it will be squarely traceable to the Chinese involvement in the management of our patients”.

I consumed carrots, Vitamin C, Blackseed Oil with honey to fight coronavirus, says Makinde

• I’ll ensure no Oyo citizen dies from COVID-19, he says

Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has disclosed what he did in isolation in order to become negative of the coronavirus.

The governor had announced that he was positive of the disease and went into isolation. He got all-clear and announced he had become negative on Sunday night.

But speaking on phone with Fresh FM, a radio station based in the state, Makinde gave account of his time in isolation and how he was able to test negative after earlier testing positive.

Maintaining that he remained asymptomatic, Makinde said he only put in efforts to boost his immunity and used his time in isolation to regularly exercise on the treadmill.

In boosting his immunity to overcome the virus, he said he consumed Vitamin C, carrots as well as blackseed oil mixed with honey.

He consequently urged all residents of the state not to fret, saying that local solutions existed to boost immunity and overcome the virus.

“My very good friend and brother, Dr Muyideen Olatunji is the one in charge of the Primary Healthcare for Oyo State. He came to me and said, look, I am going to send to you this blackseed oil, it boosts immunity. So I mixed it with honey and took one teaspoon in the morning and one in the evening.
More in Home

“So, there are local solutions to boost immunity. Our people should not fret. Just as I have been able to get the virus out of my system, so will it be for majority of our people,” Makinde said.

According to Makinde, his days in isolation also offered him a time to rethink his programmes and policies for the state as well as how to handle the socioeconomic effects of COVID-19 on the state.

“I have lost a little bit of weight which I think is good. When you are in isolation, the tendency is just to watch television and eat, I was eating amala. But I was also using the treadmill. It has also been a period to reflect and look at the programmes, policies and the things we want to do for the people of Oyo state and also reflect on how the COVID-19 is going to affect us socially and economically,” Makinde added.

Makinde, also on Monday, promised the commitment of his administration to ensuring that no citizen of the state dies from contracting the virus.

Speaking during the opening the 100-bed Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo, Ibadan, meant to serve as isolation centre in the state, Makinde said what was more imperative was for residents of the state to adhere to social distancing and hygienic practices.
While announcing that he had taken over as head of the Oyo COVID-19 task force, Makinde described as jobless those who criticised him for handing over headship of the task force to former Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital, Ibadan, Professor Temitope Alonge.

He said his decisions in relation to tackling coronavirus in the state were informed by advice from medical experts.

“We are all in an uncharted territory so we may not be 100 percent perfect but I want you to continue to give us your support because we are here to work for you and we are here to ensure that no life is lost to this pandemic. Our measures are all work in progress. So, where we see any need for improvement, we will work on improvement.

“Let us keep observing social distancing, good hygiene practices. They told me that the virus itself is fearful such that washing of hands with soap and water destroys the virus.

“Some jobless people have been talking about who I should hand over to whether it should be a Professor of Virology. I am not a Professor of Virology myself. When the experts speak, the people in positions of leadership only need commonsense. They have a room there where they cross pollinate ideas, discuss and challenge themselves and come up with the best course of action,” Makinde said.

Speaking further, he emphasised that he would not declare a total lockdown until the state government had all the needed palliatives and had the data to ensure that the right persons get the palliatives.
“We have been very deliberate in not directing a total lockdown until palliatives are in place.

A major challenge for us is the fact that we need to cut out the middlemen, and we also have to ensure that those who actually need the palliatives are those who get the palliatives,” Makinde added.

Nigerian Army Suspends Voluntary Retirement Of Soldiers. Meaning, You Can No Longer Resign From The Nigerian Army.

▪️In an internal memo, the Nigerian Army has suspended approvals for voluntary retirement requests from soldiers, saying the rate at which applications to quit service was flooding its headquarters lately was “disheartening”.

▪️The directive, which military sources told PREMIUM TIMES went out late March, said all forms 9B (military retirement application document) have been suspended and would no longer be made available to soldiers willing to voluntarily discharge from service.

“Our men are giving up on the war for many reasons that are not limited to poor equipment supplies and the lack of empathy they keep seeing from their top commanders,” a military source who had seen the memo told PREMIUM TIMES on Sunday.

“The soldiers have been asked over and again to remain in service for the defence of their fatherland, but their hope has been waning.”

“Many of them have been trapped in the northeast for years and they just want to return to their families and look for another career path away from the military,” the officers said under strict anonymity to avoid being sanctioned for speaking to reporters about internal military decisions...

▪️Already, some troops have protested the decision to block them from seeking voluntary retirement and petitioned the Army Headquarters.

“A soldier who voluntarily joined the service without any duress is now being compelled to remain in the service even against his wish,” according to an open letter to Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai that has been circulating on WhatsApp groups of military personnel. “With all due respect sir, this is unacceptable.”

" Our plane torched down at the Murtala Muhammad Airport, Lagos on March 23, but to our surprise, none of us was quarantined as we were asked to go after our temperatures were taken.
"I then boarded another plane to Abuja and I decided to self isolate to the extent that as I talk to you, none of my family members knows exactly where I am because I don't want to put the life of anyone at risk.
"They have been calling me to ask about my location and I refused to tell them. I asked my wife to relocate from my residential home in Gusau, to Kaura Namoda and I decided not to meet them until after 14 days.
"The NCDC is not handling the situation very well from what I saw at the airport. I and other travelers were allowed to go our ways without proper check"

05/04/2020

"Don't think what is happening right now has to do with a virus. It's not a virus. The world has chosen to be deceived. As they have been deceived many times before.

"This is not the pandemic. Question where did the other ones go? No one is asking. I have asked the question, 'Where do viruses come from?' They are not found in nature, it means they're created.

I'm trying to let you know the reason you're in your house. I call it a global seige.

What they don't tell you is that your body can be connected. Did you know that once that happens you can also be controlled as your devices are controlled.

Meaning that signals can be sent to your brain, your brain can be controlled. Once that happens you are no longer yourself. The idea is controlling the new race.

So since they can't vaccinate everyone, they started vaccinating children and raising them that way.

You wanna know what's going on in the world? There's a movie called "Divergent" from 2014.

That's what the groups that are interested in the new world order are up to, to put vaccine in your body containing a digital ID, by which you as a human being can be controlled, you seize to be yourself.

To achieve the vaccination, they using 2 things:

1. They created a pandemic (Covic19) in order to create fear and panic.

2. They use internet of things (IOT), and created 5G (people can easily embrace it), which causes health issues, but you wouldn't know cause they made you love the high internet speed.

Both strategies lead to achieving their initial plan, vaccination with digital ID.

If these groups were not hiding anything,......

1. They forced everyone to stay indoors (aka quarantine/lockdown), but they have people busy installing 5G connections outside.

2. Why do they get angry when others express opposite views. They taking down their websites and posts. E.g 1. Youtube deleted many videos expossing this conspiracy, 1 by former Vodafone boss. E.g 2. Facebook deleted post by Brazil president exposing their plans.

If you still don't yet know what is going on, know today; it's not about the Corona virus. This is basically a group of people serving a devilish cause trying to checkmate humanity to hell.

Don't be ignorant, neither silent. This isn't a time to seat on the fence because there is no fence. This isn't about religion because as you can see, there isn't one either. It boils down to two options: Life or Death.

We are still in the age of the Church and the antichrist cannot advance his plans yet. The Bible is clear that after the Rapture of the Church, the son of perdition will be revealed.

Brothers and sisters, this isn't a time to play with Christianity. Give your life to Christ now while you still can because these things will happen, but after the Church is raptured".

Out of the 6000 contacts on COVID 19 wanted list in Nigeria, 3550 had been traced. (Good News). The remaining 2450 could still be dangerous to the society ( bad news).
Where are they now? How can they be traced? The number of the people they have met might have doubled. Now the best solution is to stay at home, but how would we tell a man that feeds from hand to mouth to stay at home?

May God protect us from this invisible enemy Corona Virus. Amen/ Ameen.

Press Statement

COVID-19: PDP Directs Members to Scale Up Personal Interventions...Restates Case for The Poor, Unemployed, Others.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has directed its members across the country to intensify their efforts in providing assistance to vulnerable Nigerians in their neighborhoods to further mitigate the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 lockdown directives.

The PDP also calls on more Nigerians to join public-spirited individuals and groups in extending assistance to vulnerable citizens in the overall effort to contain and check the spread of the pandemic in our nation.

The party’s call is against the backdrop of the manifest failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration to shelve its greed and corruption and make adequate provisions for social palliatives and other panaceas to Nigerians, despite the immense resources at its disposal.

Stating that its position is also in line with its manifesto and guiding principles to ensure the security, wellbeing and happiness of all citizens, irrespective of creed, ethnicity and political persuasion, the PDP calls on all Nigerians to look beyond primordial considerations and join forces to defeat the virus.

The party therefore urges Nigerians to use this time to further display their spirit of brotherly care by assisting vulnerable persons around them particularly the aged, the unemployed as well as individuals and families whose means of livelihood had been crippled for the restriction directives.

Furthermore, the PDP laments as worrisome, that at a time as this, the APC and its government would remain lethargic and allow sheer incompetence, greed, avarice and primitive corruption to continue to constrict it into unnecessary parochialism in the handling of effort against the spread of COVID-19 in our country.

Our party also bemoaned the lack of accountability and the manifest sleaze in the disbursement of financial palliatives with allegations of diversion of billion of naira to private purses to the detriment of poor Nigerians.
Indeed, such is not the way to go.

The party therefore urged the Federal Government to be transparent and involve more capable Nigerian medical experts, researchers as well as equipment manufacturers to assist in checking the spread of the pandemic in our country.

The party counsels the Federal Government to bring in the hands used in winning the battle against the Ebola virus disease as well as commission indigenous manufacturers, especially auto and equipment producers, to concert effort towards production of ventilators and other equipment needed in the fight against the coronavirus.

The PDP restates its commendation to the organized private sector for donations following our call for intervention. It also restates its commendation to health care providers and several other frontline workers, who have been risking their lives to safeguard our nation, while calling on all Nigerians to continue in prayers and observing health safety directives as we collectively defeat this pandemic.

COVID-19: Doctors warn FG against inviting Chinese medical experts

The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) chapter, has advised the Federal Government against inviting medical experts from China to help in fighting Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Chairman of the association, Dr Muhammed Adeboye, said on Saturday in Ilorin that Nigeria has no alarming cases compared to other countries to warrant external help.

”It is bad for us to be expecting experts because people are not dying massively in Nigeria and cases are not increasing astronomically.

”For now, we are not stressed out as far as the crisis is concerned and people are been discharged day-in-day-out.

”So, there is no indication to bring any professional from any part of the world,” Adeboye said. He cautioned that any external unwarranted assistance could aid the foreigners to manipulate the virus to be more harmful to Nigerians.

”Bringing people in can be an avenue for many terrible things to happen as well, because we don’t have the capacity to manipulate viruses whether confirmed or not.

”It is a novel virus which might be probably man made and to a large extent, the rate of infection here is not as much as what we have in other countries. ”They can still manipulate to want to know what it is that is working for us, then go ahead to manipulate the virus again. ”And then, they will now import the virus with the so called unwarranted assistance, before you know it more people will be dying of it.

”So, we don’t need any foreign assistance, not even from China,” the MDCAN president said.
