Welcome to the Community page called Pride of Orlu.

It is for all citizens in the Orlu (Ọ̀lụ́) LGA as well as their friends and supporters and its aim is to provide relevant news and important updates on the region.

Orlu LGA is one of the 27 Local Government Areas in Imo State and its HQ is seated in the town of Orlu.

The Local Government Area is one of the most popular LGA's in Imo State as well one of the oldest and largest.

The Executive Chairman of the Local Government is responsible for assisting the communal lives of the people through social and economic development.

Meanwhile, Orlu town itself is one of the largest cities in the state and has a long history in Igboland as it has played a critical role as the headquarters for the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) as well as many other humanitarian relief agencies during the Nigeria-Biafra Civil War.

The Nigerian headquarters of the British Cheshire Home is still in the city.
