The sincerity of a husband is known during the sickness of his wife.💕

That of a wife is known during the financial difficulty of the husband.❤️

True love of children is known during the old age of the parents❤️.

The true nature of siblings is known during distribution of inheritance.💕

The sincerity of friends is known during hard times.💜

True relatives are known when one is far from his country, lonely or sick💕.

True love is known when there is no means of benefit.😍

A true believer is known during times of hardship.

In all, life is the teacher itself.💯

May we grow in wisdom, understanding and patience. 🙏

1. Be careful so you don't hate a lovely person , because of a dirty rumour you heard about them which was created out of jealousy and envy .

2. Try to appreciate those who gossip about you . It's not easy for someone to leave their problems and carry yours on their head .

3. Forgive betrayals but be careful with them, because next time they may not spare your life.

4. Even if you kill yourself for some people, they will still complain that you didn't die in a proper way.

Do your best and leave the rest , you can't satisfy human being.

5. If you are always worried about what others are saying about you, you will never be happy

6. When your blessings are getting closer, your attacks become greater.

Don't look at the storm, God is the controller of all things he created, and is by your side, you're a victor.

Learn From Davido. Use your influence and money to support your family. Build each other up. Don’t tear each other down. Don’t wash your dirty linen in public. Do not even let your wives or husbands come between you and your BLOOD family. Unite. Don’t divide. Be greater together. Don’t let the hater be the victor. Congratulations goes to the entire Adeleke family!

Senator Adeleke won partly because of Davido. Going forward, Davido will win more because of Governor Adeleke. But look at your family. Whatever energy, money, and influence you have is dedicated to pulling each other down. Learn from the Adelekes!

How many celebrities could have done for their families what Davido did for his? Some even publicly fight their blood brothers. Others fight their own birth parents. Moral of the story: One family member who is committed to you is better than millions of fans who are interested in you!

More about the sacked Nigerian born Hon. Minister and Attorney General of Alberta, Canada, Hon Kelechi Madu(Kaycee)

He is from Mbaise in Imo state, Nigeria. A young guy in our age group(those born in the early ’70s), had a law degree from the University of Lagos. Not up to 2 decades, he arrived in Canada like me in search of greener pasture(the pasture wey we no see sef). Struggled in different fields of endeavour to make ends meet but were unsuccessful until he joined the United Conservative Party of Canada. Lucky for him his first chase for office as an MLA got him into the Alberta Parliament. Thanks to the Ibos in Alberta who made it possible. Sworn in as a minister in August 2020 and was stripped of his ministerial post this week. It's a piece of sad news to us all here.

*His Sin/Offence:*

Not like in Nigeria where a minister gets his driver, here na you go drive yourself no matter your rank or office. He was driving south of the city (Edmonton) along a street in a school zone when he was ticketed ($300 traffic violation fine(...me, I don collect ticket too about 4 times). Instead of him to waka jeje go pay the money. He decided to call the Police Chief to tell him that he was ticketed. In this country place we dey, it is a big Conflict of Interest that he committed mistakenly and it is against the law to use your position to influence things. He no shout oh nor abuse the police chief. He just called him to notify him that his boys ticketed him. He forgot that he is not in Nigeria. It was the phone call he made to the police chief that got him fired. Had he quietly waka jeje to the municipal office and pay that $300 fine for violating the traffic law, it won’t have been an exit from Cabinet. He is the first black man and first Nigerian to be a minister in Alberta, Canada and the first Nigerian to be a minister in Canada.

FGN LIFTS SUSPENSION OF TWITTER OPERATIONS

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) directs me to inform the public that President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the lifting of the suspension of Twitter operation in Nigeria effective from 12am tonight, 13th January 2022. The approval was given following a memo written to the President by the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Ali Ibrahim. In the Memo, the Minister updates and requests the President’s approval for the lifting based on the Technical Committee Nigeria-Twitter Engagement’s recommendation.

You may recall that on 5th June 2021, the FGN suspended the operation of Twitter through an announcement made by the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alh Lai Mohammed. Thereafter, the President constituted a seven-man Presidential Committee to engage Twitter Inc. Subsequently, in its wisdom, the Presidential Committee set a 20-member Technical Committee comprising all relevant government agencies. The Technical Committee engaged and worked directly with the Twitter team.
The immediate and remote cause of the suspension was the unceasing use of the platform by some unscrupulous elements for subversive purposes and criminal activities, propagating fake news, and polarising Nigerians along tribal and religious lines, among others. These issues bordering on National Security, Cohesion and the effects of the abuse of the Twitter platform forced the FGN to suspend the operation of Twitter to address the direct and collateral issues around its operations in Nigeria.
The new global reality is that digital platforms and their operators wield enormous influence over the fabric of our society, social interaction and economic choices. These platforms can be used as either a tool or a weapon. Every nation is grappling with how to balance its usage efficiently. Without balancing, every citizen’s security, privacy, social well-being, and development are at stake. Therefore, our action is a deliberate attempt to recalibrate our relationship with Twitter to achieve the maximum mutual benefits for our nation without jeopardising the justified interests of the Company. Our engagement has been very respectful, cordial, and successful.
The process of resolving this impasse between the FGN and Twitter Inc. has helped lay a foundation for a mutually beneficial future with endless possibilities. Twitter is a platform of choice for many Nigerians ranging from young innovators to public sector officials who find it helpful to engage their audience. Therefore, our engagement will help Twitter improve and develop more business models to cover a broader area in Nigeria. Furthermore, the FGN looks forward to providing a conducive environment for Twitter and other global tech companies to achieve their potential and be sustainably profitable in Nigeria.
While appreciating all Nigerians, especially the vibrant Nigerian youths who have borne with the long wait to resolve this impasse, the FGN is happy to say that the gains made from this shared national sacrifice are immeasurable. Some of the gains include:
Ongoing economic and training opportunities as the Company continues to consider expanding its presence in Nigeria;
Getting a better understanding of how to use the Twitter platform effectively to improve businesses;
Revenue generation from the operation of Twitter in Nigeria;
Smooth and coordinated relationship between Nigerian Government and Twitter leading to mutual trust;
Reduction of cybercriminal activities such as terrorism, cyberstalking, hate speech, etc.; and
Working with Twitter and other global companies to build an acceptable code of conduct following the global best practice.
The FGN has asked Twitter to fulfil some conditions before restoring its services. These conditions addressed legal registration of operations, taxation, and managing prohibited publication in line with Nigerian laws. Twitter has agreed to meet all the conditions set by the FGN. Consequently, the FGN and Twitter have decided on an ex*****on timeline, which has started this week. Our engagement with Twitter opens a new chapter in global digital diplomacy and sets a new operational template for Twitter to come back stronger for the benefit of Nigerians.
The following are the resolutions agreed with Twitter. Inc.:

Twitter has committed to establishing a legal entity in Nigeria during the first quarter of 2022. The legal entity will register with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The establishment of the entity is Twitter’s first step in demonstrating its long-term commitment to Nigeria.
Twitter has agreed to appoint a designated country representative to interface with Nigerian authorities. The Global Public Policy team is also directly available through a dedicated communication channel.
Twitter has agreed to comply with applicable tax obligations on its operations under Nigerian law.
Twitter has agreed to enrol Nigeria in its Partner Support and Law Enforcement Portals. The Partner Support Portal provides a direct channel for government officials and Twitter staff to manage prohibited content that violates Twitter community rules. At the same time, the Law Enforcement Portal provides a channel for the law enforcement agencies to submit a report with a legal justification where it suspects that content violates Nigerian Laws. Taken together, these represent a comprehensive compliance apparatus.
Twitter has agreed to act with a respectful acknowledgement of Nigerian laws and the national culture and history on which such legislation has been built and work with the FGN and the broader industry to develop a Code of Conduct in line with global best practices, applicable in almost all developed countries.
Therefore, the FGN lifts the suspension of the Twitter operations in Nigeria from midnight of 13th January 2022. We encourage all users of the Twitter platform to maintain ethical behaviour and refrain from promoting divisive, dangerous, and distasteful information on the platform. As patriotic citizens, we need to be mindful that anything illegal offline is also illegal online and that committing a crime using a Nigerian Internet Protocol (IP) is synonymous with committing a crime within our jurisdiction.
Considering Twitter’s influence on our democracy, our economy, and the very fabric of our corporate existence as a Nation, our priority is to adapt, not ban, Twitter. The FGN is committed to working with Twitter to do anything possible to help Nigerians align and navigate Twitter algorithmic design to realise its potentials while avoiding its perils.
In his approval, the President appreciates the Presidential Committee led by the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alh Lai Mohammed, for the supervisory role and guidance given to the Technical Committee during the engagement. Similarly, the Presidential Committee commends the Technical Committee for a professional, robust and productive engagement with Twitter Inc. It also appreciates Government Regulatory Agencies and Internet Service Providers who implemented the FGN’s directives during the suspension.

You know why I'm not bothered about what this trending mummy G.O has been preaching?

She hasn't really said anything new. If you grew up as a Deeper life child, you would understand.

Growing up in Deeper life, we were thought many things, such as:

Television was a sin (it was called a "sin box")

Wearing of jean was a sin. Jeans were tagged "worldly" cloths.

Watching of football and other sports activities were all seen as sin.

Acquiring too many education was seen as sin. You'll be tagged as concentrating on acquiring worldly possessions instead of focusing heavenly race..

Wearing of jewelrys (including wedding rings), perfume, deodorants, was a sin.

Wearing of wedding gowns, birthday/wedding cakes, dancing to music, especially in weddings etc., were all sin.

Applying of white powder on your face, brown powder or any form of makeup, was a sin. Incluing applying ordinary lip gloss.

Wearing lace materials or any form of expensive dresses or materials, were sin.

Acquiring chieftaincy titles or taking part in traditional activities, was a sin.

Going for outings, picnics, restaurants, cinema and other romantic activities were tagged as sin and worldly.

Hell fire was always preached and brandished as a threat for every little mistake.

Celebrating birthdays, child dedication, marriage anniversary or even having marriage blessing in church (for those who didn't have a proper church wedding), was seen as a sin.

There were too many sins. I can't seem to remember all anymore.

You people should leave mummy G.O alone. She will soon upgrade.

If Deeper life and Pastor Kumuyi could upgrade, who won't? Presently, so many things that were considered to be sin in Deeper life, has been relaxed and no longer sin.
We movee!!🚶‍🚶‍🚶🏿

Woman Gives Birth To Twins, One In 2021, Other In 2022

A California couple are currently trending after the wife gave birth to twins just 15 minutes apart but in different years.
The parents said it was amazing and indeed beautiful for them to have witnessed one of the most memorable deliveries, as exclaimed by the resident doctor, Abril Arias.

The Mother, Fatima Madrigal gave birth to the first baby, Alfredo Antonio Trujillo (a boy) at 11:45 p.m. on Friday night, Dec. 31, 2021, while people were celebrating cross-over.

Fifteen minutes later, she gave birth to the second child, Aylin Yolanda Trujillo (a baby girl).

This means the twins would be celebrating birthdays on different days and months.

“It’s crazy to me that they are twins and have different birthdays,” said mother Madrigal while responding to a press.

In his reaction, Dr Abril who took the delivery of the twins said the “It was an absolute pleasure to help these little ones arrive here safely in 2021 and 2022,” Arias said in the release. “What an amazing way to start the New Year!”

The two babies will return home with their mother and father Robert Trujillo to meet three older siblings, two girls and a boy.

MKO Abiola’s challenger in 1993 election, Bashir Tofa, is dead

One of the leading candidates in the 1993 Presidential election, Alhaji Bashir Tofa, is dead.
He was 74 years old.
He was the Presidential Candidate of the defunct National Republican Convention and a major challenger of MKO Abiola’s in the controversial June 12, 1993, presidential election, annulled by the military government of General Ibrahim Babangida.
Family sources said the former presidential candidate died in the early hours of Monday after a protracted illness.
“Alhaji Bashir Tofa died after being admitted in hospital for some time,” one of the deceased’s relations told TheCable.
Details of his death were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
Tofa was born in Kano to a Kanuri family on June 20, 1947.
He had his primary education at Shahuci Junior Primary, Kano, and then continued studies at City Senior Primary School in Kano. From 1962 to 1966, he attended Provincial College, Kano.
After completing his studies at the Provincial school, he worked for Royal Exchange Insurance company from 1967 to 1968. From 1970 to 1973, he attended City of London College.
Tofa’s sojourn into politics started in 1976 when he was a councilor of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Council, in 1977, he was elected a member of the Constituent Assembly. During the Nigerian Second Republic, Tofa was at various times the secretary of the Kano branch of NPN, he later became the party’s national financial secretary and was a national member of the Green Revolution National Committee.
During the Third Republic, He was part of the Liberal Movement which metamorphosed to Liberal Convention when it was not registered as a political party, Tofa joined NRC in 1990. In 1993, when the Babangida administration introduced the Option A4 system, Tofa was elected the presidential candidate representing Kano. During the party primaries, he defeated Pere Ajunwa, Joe Nwodo and Dalhatu Tafida to clinch the NRC ticket. At the time, he was an ally of Halilu Akilu, the security chief at the time. His running mate in the election was Sylvester Ugoh, an Igbo and a former governor of the now-defunct Central Bank of Biafra. Both were members of the defunct National Party of Nigeria.
Tofa was apparently defeated in the presidential election by his rival Moshood Abiola, but the official results were never released by Babangida’s government. Babangida was forced to step down in August 1993 after protests calling for the results of the election.
Tofa was also a businessman, an oil trader and an industrialist. He was chairman of International Petro-Energy Company and Abba Othman and Sons Limited.

First Ten Countries To Celebrate New Year 2022

The different time zones across the globe mean that some countries around the world will get into the new year hours before others.

While many might think countries like Australia and New Zealand would be the first to celebrate the new year, smaller island nations are the first to welcome the new year.

Here is a list of some countries that celebrated 2022 before the rest of the world and the time equivalent in Nigeria;

Christmas Island
