World Drummers Day 2024 Celebration: A Command Performance of "Echoes of the Drum"

Abuja, Nigeria - March 17, 2024 - The Guild of Theatre Arts Drummers (GOTHAD) proudly announces the celebration of World Drummers Day 2024, set to take place at the NUC Centre in Abuja on April 4th. This momentous occasion will feature a command performance of "Echoes of the Drum," a captivating Drum-Drama written by the esteemed award-winning playwright, Ola Awakan.

Directed by A master drummer and National Coordinator of GOTHAD, Isioma Williams, "Echoes of the Drum" promises to mesmerize audiences with its rhythmic storytelling and compelling narrative. The event will also mark the launch of a significant publication, with esteemed dignitaries and special guests in attendance.

Highlighting the occasion will be the presence of Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the Special Guest of the day. The celebration aims to honor the rich cultural heritage of drumming while showcasing the talent and creativity of Nigeria's artistic community.
