Ifeanyi Adeleke, the 3 year old son of Music star, Davido and his fiancee, Chioma Rowland has sadly died.

The tragic death occured on Monday, October 31. Ifeanyi died by drowning at his dad's Banana Island home. He was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The couple had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can't explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.

We gathered that some of the people at Davido's House when the incident happened have been arrested. A distraught and inconsolable Davido was removed from Evercare Hospital and taken to his father's house where he remains as at press time.

Quite a number of Davido's industry friends are at the hospital this night.This is so sad. May God give Davido and Chioma the fortitude to bear this deep loss. - LIB

Why I Talk About Elections and Politics — Popular Catholic Priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu

“As a priest, I do not have a wife nor will I have a child. I do not have a car of my own. The car I received after my ordination, I gave it back to my congregation as I was leaving for Malawi.

I literally do not even owe myself. My superior can wake up any day and decide where I should go.

From Abuja to Lagos, from Lagos to Malawi, from Malawi to The Gambia. . . These have been my movements since 2015 when I was ordained. I chose none for myself. I only obeyed when I was asked to move. Even my book is yet to be published because my superior must first give permission.

My Dad is late. He died 6 months after my ordination. I did not really get to spend time with him after my ordination. He was in Abuja and I was in Lagos for missionary work.

Any way you want to look at it, I have sacrificed my entire self, my will, and my intellect. So, when I talk about Nigerian elections and the need to put the right candidate, the direct effect of your bad choice will not be on me as a person.

As a priest, a one-time dean, a parish priest, and one who is in charge of all Catholic schools here, what to eat is no longer my problem. I can enter any Catholic parish in this world, and I will be welcomed. If I fall sick, the church will take care of me.

I am not even sure if I will ever be posted to work in Nigeria. And if I die right now, my only worries will be those that love me that will be heartbroken. If not, death won't have been much of an issue to me. I have overcome the general fear of death. Christ died at 33. I am over 36. So you see, I am not too young to die.

Added to that, I do not want to be rich in the sense of having so much money in my account. No! I don’t pray for riches, rather I pray to have a rich life.

When it comes to money, I just want to have enough to take care of my normal everyday needs and to help others if possible.

In Abuja, I have a king-size bed. In the Gambia, I have the smallest bed in the world. I don't care. I can sleep anywhere because once my eyes are closed, nothing matters anymore.

I want good governance in Africa, and in Nigeria in particular, because for more than seven years as a priest and ministering to people, almost everything people pray and fast for can be traced to the failure of government/leadership in their countries.

People pray to God for a job. No! God does not give jobs, government does.

People pray for admission into schools and promotion at work. No! God does not give promotion or admission, government does.

People pray to have cars, houses, visas, etc. No! God does not give houses, nor cars, nor visas. . . Government does. Your colleagues in the Western world don't say those prayers. . . Why?

People pray for good health. This is a good prayer, but it is relative. If you don't eat a balanced diet, you will have kwashiorkor. If you drink bad water, you will have typhoid. If you don't see food to eat, you will have an ulcer. If you get bitten by mosquitoes, you will have Malaria. If there is no hospital to give you good medicine, you will die. Even missionaries that came to bring the good news, most died of malaria. It is not about abracadabra. Even as missionaries, God did not save them from dying of malaria. So you see, everything is still the government.

With good governance, road accidents will drastically reduce. Hospitals will be better managed. The Big Brother Naija housemate that died of an accident, did you not watch how the people were even making videos of him when he was unconscious and in need of urgent medical assistance? Did you see the doctors and nurses acting like it is an emergency? Go to National Hospital Abuja, or Specialists Gwagwalada, the story is the same.

I do not know about you, but go and check the number of those registering for IELTS, GRE, TOEFL. Check those in immigration, looking for a passport. Check those in embassies queuing every day looking for visas. They all want to leave the country. Why?

Your Doctors are all leaving the country. Everyone is leaving. There is no light. The traffic is crazy. Everyone is a law. This is why the popular word in Nigeria as of now is Japa.

Why are Americans not Japa-ing?
Why are the British people not Japa-ing?
Even South Africans don't Japa. . .

But Why you? Why always you?

Simple, your country is totally messed up.

Yet you have not collected your PVC. You are even planning to vote based on tribe or religion and not based on competence. And you think you are doing me? You want to vote for rechargeable candidates so they will be traveling with your money to recharge their batteries and come back to tell you to shut up?

Do whatever you want to do, but don’t take sides with your oppressors.

Pity yourself.
Pity your kids and grandkids.
Pity your innocent neck bearing the heavy burden of carrying your kind of head around.
Vote wisely!
Vote competence!
Don't be an Ewu Gambia!”

Queen Elizabeth II, the UK's longest-serving monarch, has died at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years.

Her son King Charles III said the death of his beloved mother was a "moment of great sadness" for him and his family and that her loss would be "deeply felt" around the world.

Senior royals had gathered at her Scottish estate after concerns grew about her health earlier on Thursday.

The Queen came to the throne in 1952 and witnessed enormous social change.

King Charles said: "We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign and a much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world."

He will lead the country in mourning as the new King and head of state for 14 Commonwealth realms.

During that coming period, he said he and his family would be "comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which the Queen was so widely held".

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

"The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."

All the Queen's children travelled to Balmoral, near Aberdeen, after doctors placed the Queen under medical supervision.

Her grandson, Prince William, is also there, with his brother, Prince Harry, on his way.

Prime Minister Liz Truss, who was appointed by the Queen on Tuesday, said the monarch was the rock on which modern Britain was built, who had "provided us with the stability and strength that we needed".

Speaking about the new King, she said: "We offer him our loyalty and devotion, just as his mother devoted so much, to so many, for so long.

"And with the passing of the second Elizabethan age, we usher in a new era in the magnificent history of our great country, exactly as Her Majesty would have wished, by saying the words 'God save the King'."

Assistant pastor reportedly faints as head pastor proposes to his girlfriend

There was drama and confusion at a church in Oyo when a senior pastor engaged a young lady during a programme in Ekiti.

The head pastor reportedly proposed marriage to the girlfriend of his assistant pastor and it caused murmurs among members of the church

According to reports, the lady in question has been dating the assistant pastor and head pastor but neither of them knew about the other.

It was gathered that the lady is also the choir mistress of the church.

During a church programme, the clergyman decided to surprise her by proposing to her, but the assistant was present.

He brought out a ring from his pocket and went down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. She said Yes and stretched her hand for the senior cleric to put the ring.

20-year-old Nekede poly student commits su***de

A 20-year-old student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, committed su***de by hanging at Umuofocha, Umudibia Autonomous community in Imo State

According to an eyewitness, the deceased identified as Izu Nnawuihe was having a discussion with his mother and younger sister when he suddenly excused himself to go to the toilet at about 2 pm, on Sunday, July 31.

The ND 2 Electrical Electronics Engineering student was later found hanging on a rope tied to a plank on the roof of the ceiling by his younger sister who had gone to give him his phone which was ringing after he left it behind when he initially excused himself.

According to the witness, the girl alerted the mother who raised the alarm that attracted other people and passersby. On getting to the scene, a bottle of hypo chemical was found by the side of the toilet alongside his lifeless body.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Newly married woman sets husband ablaze for allegedly cheating, then commits su***de

A newlywed has killed her husband by setting him ablaze, then she committed su***de in Osogbo, Osun state.

The woman, known simply as Ife, suspected her husband Bolu of cheating so she left an angry note on her WhatsApp stories, saying that her man has "pushed her to the edge" and promised that people will weep over both of them before daybreak.

Bolu, who lives in Cairo, but was visiting Nigeria, was set ablaze in his home, burning him and destroying his properties.

He was rushed to the hospital while Ife was nowhere to be found.

According to reports, Ife has now been found dead of suspected su***de.

Bolu also didn't survive. He died as a result of the burns sustained from the fire.

A 19-year-old girl identified as Precious Agbokhade, has been rapped and stabbed to death by yet-to-be identified persons in her home in Edo state.

It was gathered that the young lady was the only one home when she was attacked, as her family had left for church.

A close source who confirmed Precious’s death said the incident happened on Sunday, July 17, at her residence in Agenebode, Edo State.

She had been stabbed multiple times in various parts of her body when her family found her after they got home from church on Sunday.

They also noted that blood stains were found all around her room.

Friends have trooped to social media to mourn the demise of the 19-year-old.

A Facebook user, Jospeh Daniel, wrote, “Can’t believe you are no more dear. RIP. “
A heartbreaking video making the rounds online showed the mother of the deceased crying profusely as she sat on the floor by her daughter’s co**se.

The Edo State Police Command has arrested an alleged wife be**er, Vincent Emmanuel, over the death of his 5-months pregnant wife in Benin City, Edo State.

Vincent, and his wife, Cynthia Emmanuel, 31, got married in 2019 and they were expecting their third child before the unfortunate incident occurred.

It was gathered that after allegedly be@ting his wife to death, on Sunday morning, July 17, Vincent tried to stage a fake sucide scene by hanging her with a rope.

He thereafter took photos and videos of her and sent to his mother-in-law.

According to a source, “The suspect was in the habit of physically abusing his wife even when she was pregnant.

He ran away after he sent the photos and videos to his mother-in-law. But he was later tracked down by the police and was taken into custody.

He is believed to have beat her to death and staged her alleged sucide to evade arrest.”

Lady Shows Up In Rivers Church For Actor Aguba

A lady who has shown interest in marrying once-homeless actor, Kenneth Jideofor aka Kenneth Aguba, showed up at the Omega Power Ministry in Port Harcourt wearing his face on a T-shirt.

The lady, Annastasia Micheal, had indicated interest when the founder of the church, Chibuzor Chinyere, who had given Aguba, a home, announced his willingness to marry a wife him.

In her latest update on Facebook, Micheal, said she had not been able to find Aguba.

She said, “I have searched for my husband Aguba in OPM ground, but couldn't find him there, OPM church is to too big. I will go to FREE ESTATE tomorrow morning to see him there. I must see my Joy Giver Aguba.”

In a new update, the co**se of the driver of the Lexus Jeep that was swept away by flood in the Orile Agege area of Lagos state over the weekend has been recovered.

It would be recalled that the white Jeep was swept away by heavy flood during the torrential rain that fell on Saturday, July 9. Three passengers of the vehicle were rescued alive while one occupants managed to escape in the nick of time.

Sadly, the lifeless body of the owner of the vehicle who has been identified as Oluwaseyi Last Born, has been found in Aboru. It’s presumed that he was the one driving the car when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Remember, Gunmen invaded the pastor's home in Mubi Local Government Area, killed his two sons (Kefrey and Fanye Daniel), kidnapped his 13 year old daughter, ijagla.

The victims (Kefrey/Daniel) have been laid to rest at Hong Local Government, Adamawa State. They were both committed to the mother earth by their mother, Rev. (Mrs) Daniel Umoro, who said she has forgiven those behind the killing and abduction, and also accept the will of God.

We pray for the safe return of their daughter and quick recovery of the Reverend..
