Abadam Local government council under the leadership of Hon. Mustapha Kagu, organised a send forth ceremony in honour of Alhaji Maidugu Yasku, who retired from service as director general service and administration Abadam LG council.

Abadam: Mustapha Kagu took over affairs of LG from Council Secretary

Following his reappointment an successful sworn -into office for the 11 eleven conservative times as Abadam local government council chairman, Hon. Mustapha Kagu today's takes over again today, Tuesday 1st August 2023.

In a brief ceremony, the Council Secretary, Engr. Abubakar Aji Mustapha, handed the affairs of the Abadam LG Council to Hon. Kagu for another six months.

The Council Chairman of Abadam Local Government Area in the person of Rt. Hon Modu Aisami Jabullam has today load trip to Damasak of Mobbar Local Government.

The Chairman visit Abadam IDPs Camp immediately after arrived at the town to meet and greet his community leaving in the area.

Also supervised the clinic located at the IDPs camp to check the existence of the health center.

ABADAM: MODU AISAMI WELCOMES BOSHA COMMITTEE MEMBERS ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The House of Assembly Committee on Local Government had Yesterday Tuesday, the 16 day of November 2021 visited Abadam Local Government Council on an oversight function.

They were received by the Executive Chairman of Abadam LGC. Rt. Hon. Modu Aisami Jabullam, alongside the council Secretary Engr. Abubakar Aji, Leader of the Council Mustapha Mohammed Kayami, Ward Councilors, District Heads, Head of Department and some other Principal Officers of the Council.

The committee members who were on oversight visit has Rt. Hon. Ali Bulama Yajiwa, as chairman, other committee members are Rt. Hon. Mohammed Dige of Kala Balge, Rt. Hon. Zakariya of Dikwa, Rt. Hon. Ali Kotoko Of MMC, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Kibma of Biu among others.

Abadam LGA Resettlement: Mobilized Massive Clearing at Mallam Fatori the Headquarter of Abadam Local Government Area- Borno State.
..Commended Gov Zulum and Security Personels

In his quest to give rise to enabling environment for security operation within Abadam LGA to protect the lives and properties of citizens, the Executive Chairman of Abadam LGC, in conjunction with the security operatives within the LGA has been Cleared Some Part of the Abadam Local Government Headquarter Mallam Fatori, The Council Chairman has back on a clearing of the dangerous Zone of Mallam Fatori where the deadly group of Boko Haram Recaptured the Town Seven years ago, The Council Chairman Spend three Weeks for the Clearance of the town.

While Mallam Fatori is the most forest area of Deadly Boko Haram before. As such, after holding a security meeting mobilized the citizen to clear those areas and motivate with refreshments and others while clearing.

In flagging off of the clearing exercise. said that; "the Executive Governor of the state, His Excellency Professor Engr Babagana Umara Zulum, mni, FNSE has put everything in place to guarantee the lives and properties of the citizens were safeguarded and Return back them to their Home.

This Town clearing was organized against the fact that we must supplement the efforts of the His Excellency. By doing so our security personnel would have access to dictate and repel attacks. May peace restore to our dear LGA, the state, and the nation at large.

Eventually, I would like to commend the effort of our gallant officers for their sacrifice to protect our lives and properties. Our security operatives deserve our support and prayers and we must be committed to that."

In his part, the Nigerian Army Commanding Officer of Mallam Fatori Army base, an the People of Mallam Fatori living at Bosso Community of Diffa Region living as refugees appreciates the effort of the Council Chairman ( ), and his council members, and the people of the LGA for their cooperation and support. Where he assured of a massive operation to clear and eliminate those insurgents in the area.

BORNO STATE BOUNDARY COMMITTEE IN COLLABORATION WITH NATIONAL BOUNDARY COMMISSION CONDUCTED 3 DAYS INTERACTIVE SESSION/FIELD WORK WITH CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS IN BORDER COMMUNITIES IN BORNO STATE.

Round Table Discussion, Paper Presentation, Group Work and Stakeholders Engagement are the activities at the Day three (3) Meeting chaired by Engr.Mohammed Ahmed Kabir Wanori Commissioner for Inter- Governmental and Special Duties who is the vice Chairman of the committee.

The meeting was conducted successfully and rounded up, held at the multipurpose Hall, government house, Maiduguri.

Boundary Committee in collaboration with National Boundary Commission holds a 3 day interactive session/field work with critical stakeholders in Border Communities in Borno State

The meeting was held on Monday at the multipurpose Hall government house, Maiduguri, chaired by Borno Duputy Governor H.E Hon.Umar Usman Kadafur who is the chairman of the committee.

The Executive Chairman of Abadam Local Government Council, Ably represented by His Vice Hon. Abacha Modu, Atend the Meeting, together with Alhaji Maidugu Yasku, Director of General Service and Administration - DGSA, two District Head of Abadam and Foguwa, village Heads, Alhaji Kyaria Gambo Chairman Of Farmers Borno State Chapter and among others.

Borno State is sharing border with three french speaking counties, namely, cameroun, Chad and Nigar republics. Along borders of these countries are Abadam, Gwoza, Kukawa, Mobbar, Marte, Ngala, Kala Balge, Bama and Monguno local government areas.

The communities in these local governments have very long history of settlement and ethnic groupings. Most of them, if not have stayed in their ancestral communities for more than 200 years.

Very unfortunately, All of them are devoid of social amenities such as electricity, clean water supply, motorable roads, health facilities, security protection and the rest.

Because of lack of these amenities our communities at the border are subjected to hardship and forced to travel to the neighboring countries.

The following needs of the border communities should be looked into with seriousness

1. Provision of Adequate Security personnel
2. Continuation of Oil Exploration
3. Provision of infrastructural facilities
4. Re-construction of destroyed houses
5. Clearing water way's River Yobe/Reaching Lake Chad.
6. Total Border control by men of Custom and Immigration
7. Forestry tree planting through (GGW) Great Green Wall
8. Provision of Health Service/animal Vaccine.

Mallam Fatori: Resettlement Committee Begin Work

The Executive Chairman Abadam Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Modu Aisami Jabullam, together with chairman, co chairman and members of reconstruction and resettlement committee last week travel to Diffa province of Niger republic to Kick off reconstruction exercise.

On Tuesday afternoon, the 24th day of August, 2021. They were warmly received by the Government officials and immediately a combined meeting was held with the heads among the IDP's in order to put in place all the necessary requirements before heading to Malam Fatori, the headquarter of Abadam Local Government Area.

On wednesday morning, all the committee members met with the Nigerian Army at the bridge connecting Bosso and Malam Fatori, discussed some issues and organises guidelines to be followed before heading to Malam Fatori. On arrival, the committee members held a closed door meeting with the troops for at least 30mins in the conference room of the 68 battalion. The clearance activities commenced with up to 350 volunteers.

On thursday, the second day of the clearance, the resettlement committee led by it Chairman Engr. Bukar Talba proceeded to the clearance site in Malam Fatori to continue the process with the aim of paving ways for reconstruction works and the resettlement of Abadam IDP's who are willing to return to their ancestral homes.

Despite the security challenges faced on thursday at the clearance site, the IDP's who are taking refugee status in Niger Republic, the clearance volunteers and the committee members come out en mass on friday morning to continue with the clearance activities in the town.

On Saturday, the committee members inspect the reconstruction materials at the store, returned to Bosso Local Government Secretariat and started profiling the informations of the IDP's who are willing to return Malam Fatori.

Earlier this Morning, the Executive Chairman of Abadam Local Government Area (MAJ) receives the high power Committee to Conduct the APC Ward Congress in Damasak Head Quarter of Mobbar Local government Area.

The Executive Chairman of Abadam Local Government Area, along side with Member Representing the Good People of Abadam Local Government area at BOHA, Hon Alhaji Jamna B**g, Chairman and members of the Electoral Committee are poised to conduct free, fair, and credible ward Congress for the good people of Abadam Local government in line with the people-oriented leadership drive of His Excellency Professor Engr Babagana Umara Zulum Mni FNSE.

The congress was conducted across the 10 political wards of Abadam Local Government Area Peacefully and Democratically. Where the Ward Caretakers committee chairmen and their EXCOs emerged Winners of the Congress.

Hon. MAJ ensured that the exercise was carried out as laid by the rules and regulations. He also thanked and appreciated all the stakeholders for adopting the decision for consensus election.

Hon Chairman charged the newly Ward Chairmen and Executives to be party loyalists and do not allow personal interest in favor of the party (APC).

On the other hand, the Elected Executives have Expressed their appreciation for the confidence reposed in them. They also reiterated their unflinching support and loyalty to the party.
