PRESS RELEASE

HON. JAMES ABIODUN FALEKE MASSIVELY EMPOWERS CONSTITUTENTS IN TENS OF HUNDRED AFTER AN INTENSIVE ONE-WEEK LONG CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT AND SKILL ACQUISITION TRAINING

Member representing Ikeja Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke empowers constitutents in Ikeja federal constituency in a one-week capacity development programme as over 900 shortlisted constituents participated and benefitted from one training programme or the other.

The capacity development training held across various training centers in Ikeja had constitutents been trained in Information and communication technology (ICT), fish farming techniques, and entrepreneurship skills.

Participants numbering a total of 480 were trained on diverse skill acquisition programme which include; hair making, beauty and make-up artistry, bricklaying, car painting, electrification, carpentary and furniture making, fashion designing, as well as other artisanship skills.

A total of 132 beneficiaries were trained ICT knowledge which include; Basic computer skills, computer programming, hardware technologies and basic troubleshooting skills.

In another circle, 120 beneficiaries participated in fisheries and fishing farming techniques, 100 members of National Union of Road Transport Workers, Ikeja Chapter (NURTW) were also trained on transport business operations, while another set of 100 unemployed youths participated in business entrepreneurship training.

Participants were given financial grants and tools as business support so as to support and expand scope of their business operations. Financial grants ranging from #50,000 to #124,000 were given to trainees while ICT trainees were given brand new Lenovo portable computer (Laptop) each.

Hon. James Faleke in partnership with some agencies ensured trainees were given an intensive training programmes.
Training agencies include; Aptech Technologies, New Horizon Computer Institute, National Institute for Fresh Water and Fisheries Research, and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

A mega graduation ceremony was first held for some set of graduands on Saturday 20th of November 2021 at the Academy Guest house and event centre in Agidingbin,Lagos while another mega graduation ceremony for another set was held on Sunday 21st of November,2021 @ Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos.

The graduation ceremony was attended by some top APC party leaders and stakeholders, as well other party loyalists in Ikeja federal constitutency

The distribution moved to the palace of the Baale (Abule Onigbagbo) High Cheif E.A Shogunle and to the Palace of the paramount Ruler of Onigbongbo Kingdom HRM. (Oba)Olusegun Ajasa Olashide today 18th, November 2021.

The Team warmly welcomed by the King ,his palace Chiefs and everyone at the event.
The Distribution of the food items were given to the Elderly people and youths of the Community.

The Visit was Led by ALGON President Hon. (Barr.) Alabi Kolade David (Executive Chairman Bariga LCDA) his Deputy and other Exco members.

Tantolohun Speaks further about Over ten (10)ongoing projects simultaneously in his Local Government Area including Roads Rehabilitations , Benches for our primary Schools, Rehabilitation of Medical health centers, installation of Borehole system in all the Six(6)wards and more.

OLOFIN OF ISHERI VISITS ONIGBONGBO COMMUNITY

The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA. Hon. Oladotun Olakanle hosted HRM Oba Sulaiman Adekunle bamigbade (Adimula of isheri land) Today 8th, November 2021 in Onigbongbo Community.

*Onigbongbo LCDA Execute free Elderly Health Care in conjunction with (SDG) Governors Office*

The Digital Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon Oladotun Olakanle partners Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Carrying out free health Check up and medication in Onigbongbo Council Secretariat today, 3rd November 2021.

The free medical care which was organized by the Digital Chairman in collaboration with (SDG) became important and necessary because a few elderly people have access to health care.

This is a part of the massive medical outreach of various test, prescription and drugs given free of charge to elderly people in Onigbongbo Community.

Tantolohun reiterated that the objective is to ensure a healthy Community.

Onigbongbo LCDA in Conjunction with (SDG ) Governor’s Office performed community tree planting and community clean up within Onigbongbo Communities

The Digital Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon Oladotun Olakanle partners Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Carrying out Community tree planting in Wasimi and community clean up in Onigbongbo Area today, 2nd November 2021.

The Exercise began with planting of trees in wasimi by the Councilor of the Ward Hon Gbenga Adedeji,Hon Adeyemi Adewale,CDC Chairman Mr yayah olanrewaju,Ward Chairman mr Faith Omoletu,Mr Glory Igbafe,LGA youth Leader Kenneth Agba and many other stakeholders at the occasion.

However the Exercise later moved to the Palace of HRM Oba Olusegun Ajasa Olaside,Ilufemiloye1 of Onigbongbo kingdom with the Ward chairman and the Team to carry out Cleaning exercise in the Community.

*HON. JAMES ABIODUN FALEKE SUPPORTS 240 BUSINESS MEN AND WOMEN WITH CASH GRANT*

Not fewer than 240 constituents (petty traders) of Ikeja Federal Constituency were yesterday Monday 1 November, 2021 also trained and empowered by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke with Provision of cash grants of N50,000 each to support their business.

Recall, the Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly, who is also the Chairman House Committee on Finance had on Sunday 31st of October gave N65,000 cash grants as supports to each of the 1,167 constituents with a promise to do more in ensuring that the vast majority feels the impact of his quality representation and service to the people.

Speaking at the event,the APC party chairman of Ikeja LGA Alhaji Dally Adeokun was full of commendation to Hon Faleke stating that his record of achievement since his emergence as an Honorable member representing Ikeja federal constituency is quite unprecedented.
He furthermore said Hon. Faleke's effort so far suggests that he has the interest of the electorates, community dwellers, politicians & non, religious organization, traditional rulers and the likes at heart.

However, he admonished all beneficiaries of the N50,000 cash grants to invest the money wisely, be innovative, productive and be prudent.

An Apex leader in Ojodu LCDA, Chief Mathew Akinsanya in his remark also commended Hon Faleke for living beyond the expectations of the party leaders and members. He implore the beneficiaries of the cash grants to ensure that they invest the grants in their business.

The Executive Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi in his own remark at the event, while commending Hon Faleke for his unprecedented service to the people noted that the business and art of governance requires vast knowledge, experience, integrity, competence, and proven track record of one who has the interest of the masses at heart and thus implore all to support Hon Faleke's continuity as a representative of Ikeja federal constituency in the House of Representative.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr Olaleke Jamiu in expressing his appreciation noted that Hon. Faleke had helped in changing people's perspective about politicians. He gave instances of some politicians who only wait for electioneering period before going around to spray money in the air with several promises made only to later reneged on those promises after winning the election.
He concluded by calling on Hon Faleke to seek reelection as a representative of Ikeja federal constituency so that more and more positive gains can be made through him in the overall interest of Ikeja federal constituency.

*HON. JAMES ABIODUN FALEKE EMPOWERS 1,167 SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED BUSINESS OPERATORS, SUPPORTS BENEFICIARIES WITH CASH GRANTS*

Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke has again empowered small and medium sized business entrepreneurs in his constituency.

This time, one thousand, one hundred and sixty seven (1,167) beneficiaries were empowered with various business skills, strategic planning and management skills, sales and marketing skills, profit or income and expenditure analysis, to mention few.

Similarly, the beneficiaries were awarded start up grants of N65,000 ( Sixty five thousand naira) each as business support at an elaborate graduation ceremony held at Vantage point event hall at Acme road, Ogba, Lagos on Sunday 31st of October, 2021.

This is following an intensive 4-day training by Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), after which bbeneficiaries were also awarded certificates.

Speaking at the elaborate graduation ceremony, Hon. Faleke urged beneficiaries to make optimum use of the knowledge gained during the training, and to be persistent, consistent and invest the start up wisely.

In his words, the Chairman House Committee on Finace noted that he will continue to empower more constituents for viable economic development since to the recent situation in Nigeria is no longer making it possible for employment into government institutions, agencies and parastatals.

Also addressing beneficiaries at the graduation ceremony, representative of Director General of SMEDAN, Olawale Fasanya commended the efforts of Hon. Faleke in empowering his constitutents.

"Hon. Faleke is a distinguished honourable member of House of Representatives. We have been training people in time past, but I have not seen this kind of training which involves over 1000 beneficiaries at once " he said.

He further emphasized that Hon. Faleke has done remarkably well for the people of Ikeja through business training and development with cash grant support.

Earlier in his remarks, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ikeja LGA party Chairman, Alhaji Dally Adeokun commended Hon Faleke for quality representation and service to the people.

Alhaji Adeokun further advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the start up grants.

"This is not the time to buy aso-ebi, it is not the time to pay house rent. Instead the start up grants should be solely invested on business, as that is the purpose of the grants" - Alhaji Adeokun posited.

The event was graced with notable APC party leaders, stakeholders, party members and non party members across Ikeja federal constituency.

*Tantolohun attends Oyeolohun football tournament Final at Onigbongbo palace Square.*

The Digital Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA. Hon Oladotun Olakanle attended the Final Football match at Onigbongbo Community Field that was hosted by Lanre Akerele (Oyeolohun) .

Tantolohun presented the Cup to the winner of the tournament along with HRM Oba Olusegun Ajasa Olaside 1 Awuse of Onigbongbo Kingdom.

The event was graced by the old reliable teams with some excellent football skills by the players.

The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA. Hon Oladotun Olakanle (FPA) hosted selected secondary school students within the local government during 2021 spelling Bee Competition at Onigbongbo Council Hall.
The annual Competition has positively helped the students in developing their vocabularies and give them confidence now and future.
