SHEHU SANI BLASTS KATSINA ELDERS OVER OFFICE RELOCATION: SAYS THEY WERE MUTE FOR EIGHT YEARS AS TERRORISTS RAVAGED THE NORTH BECAUSE BUHARI WAS IN POWER.
It is most likely that former President Muhammadu Buhari has influenced and position some elders in his home state of Katsina to start playing the opposition card, now that he, Buhari, is out of power and relevance. The recent outburst by Katsina elders is hypocritical and morally unjustified according to Shehu Sani who has this more to say.
“Eminent and respected Katsina Elders came out hard on the FG in a Press Conference against the relocation of some federal establishments. They have the right to freely express their opinion as citizens and as elders.”
“I believe in their right to challenge any act of unconstitutionality but one may ask the morality of their action, having kept silent for eight years when their son was the President and half of their state was taken over by terrorists. Where were they when their women were raped, children kidnapped and villages set ablaze by terrorists.
“Where were they when the nation’s treasury was looted and their state and region was impoverished under the leadership of their kin? Should we only speak truth to power when our kinsmen are not in power?”

Ethnic and regional pressure has been mounting on the Presidency following the relocation of some office functions of CBN and FAAN to Lagos State, the political state of origin of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “We consider it necessary to inform Nigerians that there is no iota of truth in the interpretations given to the directives in some quarters and the unfounded claims and rumours that President Bola Tinubu is planning to relocate the Federal Capital back to Lagos.
“These rumours, which first surfaced during the electioneering last year, was sponsored by political opponents looking for all manners of weapons to prevent Asiwaju Tinubu from being elected as president by a section of the country.
“Those behind this renewed sordid narrative, using the recent decision of the CBN and FAAN as pretext to start another round of toxic opposition, are dishonest ethnic and regional champions, trying to draw attention to themselves. The status of Abuja as the Federal Capital has come to stay. It is backed by law.
“The movement of FAAN, an agency of Aviation Ministry, to Lagos, where it was located before former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, moved it to Abuja during the last administration, does not amount to moving the Federal Capital to Lagos.

Ruth, a 14 years old Junior Secondary School student of St. Paul’s University Secondary School Awka, Anambra State has been impregnated by her uncle, according to information made available on Monday by a human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu.

The case has now been transferred from Awka, Anambra State to FCT Abuja because of plans by some persons to shield the perpetrator from justice. Mr Simon has so far not given his own side of the story about this ugly incident attributed to him.
