A TWO DAY FREE SOFT SKILLS TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION FOR YOUNG FEMALES ORGANIZED BY IBOM JEWELS MANAGEMENT, PUBLISHERS OF IBOM JEWELS COMPENDIUM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE EUNICE THOMAS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, HAS ENDED IN UYO.
Addressing the participants , the Editor-in-Chief of Ibom Jewels Compendium, Mrs. Eme Atakpo said the free training program was one in a series of programs mapped out by Ibom Jewels Community to give back to the society by impacting positively and encouraging the female youths to become what they want to be in life.
To achieve this, She announced the decision by the body to extend a hand of mentorship to female youths to nurture and challenge them to aspire to become Ibom Jewels of the next generation.
Mrs. Atakpo therefore CHARGEd UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES AS WELL AS STUDENTS TO ALWAYS STRIVE TO ADD VALUE TO THEIR LIVES WHENEVER A DOOR OF OPPORTUNITY OPENS, noting that THEY CAN ONLY BE VALUED BY THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE, INFORMATION AND SKILLS THEY ACQUIRE.
In her Keynote Address on the THEME, BUILDING EFFECTIVE SOFT SKILLS TO ENHANCE PROFESSIONAL LIFE, the Speaker, Mrs. Alice Esin stressed the importance of soft skills such as those listed for the training because they form the foundation of their professional journey and accomplishments in life.
Mrs. ESIN, a retired Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service and President of the Ibom Jewels Community commended the young women who had come out and challenged them to make good use of the opportunity to better their lives.
Among topics treated were, Personal Effectiveness and Time management by the Proprietor, Sanvee Int’l Schools, Mrs. Maria Stella Mkpong who also handled Decision making and Problem solving.
A training on Leadership was taken by Prof. Imelda Udoh of the University of Uyo while Dr. Ima Emmanuel of the same institution treated the young women to ‘Team work and Sense of Belonging’ as well as ‘Business and Social Etiquette Skill’.
Other Resource persons were a one time Director General of AKBC, Lady Mercy Otu, Ace Broadcaster Mrs. Elsie Udofia, Mrs. Eme Atakpo, Emmanuel Ned and KEMFON Decade both of the Eunice Thomas Leadership Academy.
The participants thanked the Organizers for the laudable prog. and called for continuity.
