Two Russian soldiers captured in Ukraine were filmed being interrogated by Ukrainian soldiers.



Olexander Scherba, a Ukranian diplomat who served as Ukraine's Ambassador to Austria from 2014 to 2021, shared the video to Twitter.




In it, Ukrainian soldiers are heard interrogating the Russian soldiers.




One of the Russian soldiers said he didnt want to go to war in Ukraine but was made to.



"Mama, papa, I didn't want to go. They made me," the soldier said when asked what message he has for his parents.

Former Militant and Ex-leader of the movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta, Asari Dokubo has threatened to kill Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Dokubo, while responding to reports that he was 'beaten' by some members of the group, threatened that the day such happens, he will practically go to court and kill Kanu with his bare hands.

In a video shared on Facebook, Dokubo said; "You can think o, You can talk, but the day you attempt all this your lies that you are lying, I will practically go and kill Nnamdi Kanu even in the court, even with Nigerian Military and all the Nigerian security agencies around."

"I will not send anybody, i will practically go there and kill him with my own hands"

Dokubo, a former warlord has been in a running battle with members of IPOB for months. Formerly an ally until he fell out with Kanu over accusations that he embezzled N20 million.

He also revealed that he has been killing members of the group.

A newly wed couple, Yaryna Arieva and Sviatoslav Fursin
spent their first day of marriage collecting their rifles to
defend Ukraine.
Yaryna Arieva and Sviatoslav Fursin got married just hours
after Russia launched its invasion of their country on
Thursday morning, February 24.
But due to the severe nature of Russia's attacks on the
country, the couple didn't have a honey moon, instead they
went straight to the armory and collected rifles issued by
the Ukranian ministry of defence to able bodies adults who
were ready to fight for Ukraine.
The couple say they were supposed to wed in May but
decided to shift it forward because they 'were no longer sure
of what their future holds'
They both signed up with the Territorial Defense Forces, a
branch of Ukraine’s armed forces that is comprised mostly
of volunteers. Once armed, the couple headed to the office
of their political party, the European Solidarity.
“Right now, we are here and we are doing everything we
can. So there is a lot of work to do, but still, I hope
everything will be OK," Arieva said, adding that some
civilians who are not part of the defense force were also
given rifles.
“There are some places you can get them, and you just sign
the papers, and you can go and protect your country,” she
said.
“That's the situation right now.”

Ukraine says it hands out 18,000 machine guns to Kyiv

As Russian forces advance on the Ukrainian capital, the authorities

are calling on the population to do everything they can to resist the

invading troops.

Both the Ministry of Defence and the Interior Ministry are appealing

to Kyiv residents to "inform us of troop movements, to make Molotov

cocktails and neutralise the enemy".

A leaflet with step-by step instructions of how to make petrol bombs

has been posted on the Ministry of the Interior's social media.

Interior Ministry adviser Vadym Denysenko says 18,000 machine guns

"have been handed out in Kyiv to all volunteers, all those who want to

defend our capital with weapons in their arms".

"Ukrainian military equipment is entering Kyiv now to defend it. I am

asking all residents of Kyiv - please do not film it, do not film its

movements. This is necessary to protect our city."

As we head out on to the streets of Kyiv we find Ukrainian civilians

now bearing arms to protect their country.

Men in trainers and jeans with rifles slung across their backs man

checkpoints, and hidden in the trees on the side of the road are other

young volunteers lying on the ground behind anti-tank weapons.

Russian club, Zenit St Petersburg have dropped Ukrainian
footballer Yaroslav Rakitskyi after he uploaded an Instagram
post asking that the war in his country be stopped.
Zenit became the first Russian side in action since Vladimir
Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine after last
night's Europa League clash with Real Betis.
Rakitskyi, a 52-cap Ukraine international, has been a regular
since joining Zenit from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2019, but was
left on the bench yesterday.
Prior to last night, Rakitskyi had started all seven of Zenit's
European matches this season.
In the wake of Russia's invasion, Rakitskyi posted a
Ukrainian flag on Instagram.
Alongside it, he wrote the message: "I'm Ukrainian!
"
According to Daily Mail, the decision to drop Rakitskiy was
made due to Zenit's relationship with energy corporation
Gazprom.
Gazprom are owned by the Russian government and Putin
supports Zenit, with the company paying over £33 million a
year to sponsor the Champions League.

Hacking group Anonymous have declared a 'cyber war'
against the Russian government after President Vladimir
Putin announced a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
"The Anonymous collective is officially in cyber war against
the Russian government. The Russian armed forces are
preparing a large-scale bombing operation in the capital of
Ukraine," the Anonymous hacker group tweeted on Friday,
February 25.
Anonymous also claimed responsibility for the attack on the
website of the Russia Today TV channel known as RT.
In another tweet, the group said, "The Anonymous
collective has taken down the website of the Russian
propaganda station RT News."
Also, major Russian websites came under a denial-of-
service attack on Thursday, possibly in retaliation for the
similar DDoS attacks on Ukrainian websites by Russian
hackers.
According to reports, the websites of Ukraine's defense,
foreign and interior ministries were unreachable or painfully
slow to load on Thursday morning.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he
authorised Russian troops to carry out a special military
operation in the Donbass region of Ukraine.
The Russian premier said the Russian military action aims to
ensure a “demilitarization and denazification” of Ukraine
and called on Ukrainian servicemen to lay down arms and
leave the combat zone.
As at press time both Russian and Ukrainian military have
suffered losses in the ongoing war.

A man identified as Wisdom Joseph allegedly strangled his wife identified as Evelyn Alifiya to death in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.

A source who narrated the incident stated that after some month into Marriage wisdom moved into his wife’s apartment in lugbe, citing jobless as the reason.

Evelyn who is from Kogi state took responsibility for Wisdom’s upkeep, Feeding, clothing and shelter.

However, Wisdom who is from Abia state will constantly beat Evelyn and would threaten to take her life.

According to reports, Evelyn told his family member about it and they intend to move her out of the house. On Saturday evening she found out that wisdom had a gun in his bag.

It was gathered that Evelyn tried to report the incident to her sister so they could both go to the police station and report but unluckily for her wisdom noticed that Evelyn had seen his Gun.

Wisdom strangled Evelyn to death with his hands, covered her body with blanket and called Evelyn’s father to come and pick up his daughter’s co**se.

The sister of the deceased rushed to the house with some officers of the Nigerian police, they broke down the door and found Evelyn’s dead body.

Salemgists gathered that the murderer is currently on the run.

A presidential adviser says Ukraine lost control of the Chernobyl nuclear site, where Ukranian forces had waged a fierce battle with Russian troops.

Adviser Myhailo Podolyak told The Associated Press that Ukrainian authorities did not know the current condition of the facilities at Chernobyl, the site of the world’s worst nuclear disaster.

“After the absolutely senseless attack of the Russians in this direction, it is impossible to say that the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is safe,” he said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had announced several hours earlier Thursday that Russian forces were trying to seize the Chernobyl nuclear plant.

A nuclear reactor at the plant 130 kilometers (80 miles) north of Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, exploded in April 1986, spewing radioactive waste across Europe.

The exploded reactor was covered by a protective shelter several years ago to prevent radiation leaks.

A missile attack on a residential district in Chuguiv town as the country woke up to a Russian invasion on Thursday.

A son wept over the body of his father in the middle of the wreckage of a missile attack in a residential district in the eastern Ukrainian town of Chuguiv in the Kharkiv region as the country woke up on Thursday to an invasion ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I told him to leave,” the man in his 30s said, sobbing next to the twisted ruins of a car.

Nearby, a woman screamed curses into the wintry sky.

A missile crater, 4-5 metres (13-16 feet) wide, was scoured into the earth between two devastated five-floor residential buildings.

Firefighters battled to extinguish the blaze in the remnants.

Teenager Anastasia clutched her grey cat as she watched her grandfather in a wheelchair being loaded onto a minibus waiting to rush them to a nearby village.

Several other buildings on the street were damaged badly, their windows shattered and doorframes hanging in the frigid morning air.

It was among the first reported damage after Russia launched the invasion, with explosions heard in several locations across the country.

Kidnappers of Abuja traditional ruler’s son demand 2 bags of rice

Kidnappers of the son of traditional ruler of Gwombe, Junaidu Danjuma, have slashed their ransom from 15 million to N4 million and two bags of rice.

It was reported earlier that gunmen kidnapped 11 villagers at Gwargwada chiefdom in Kuje Area Council of Abuja.

A day after, the kidnappers struck again and abducted the Abuja monarch’s son.

A family member of one of the victimssaid that the abductors are demanding two bags of rice and drinks for the release of the abductees.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Thursday February
24, announced martial law across the country as Russian
troops entered the border and hit targets around the capital
Kyiv.
"Explosions were heard in many cities of Ukraine. We are
declaring martial law across the country," Zelenskyy said.
According to reports, a wounded woman was seen as
Russian airstrike damaged an apartment complex outside
the northeast Kharkiv city.
Ukraine’s border guard agency also said the Russian military
attacked the country from neighbouring Belarus.
Earlier, news agency Reuters had reported that Russia had
relocated 10 Sukhoi Su-24 bombers based in Crimea from
the annexed peninsula to reserve air bases elsewhere as part
of training exercises, citing the Interfax news agency.

Men of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 43-
year-old man identified as Ovie Oktogbo alleged to
specialize in ra**ng male children/ teenagers between the
ages of 10 to 15years.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the alleged ra**st
who is a father of three who resides at No. 15 Ugboguhi
Street Off Uwasota, Ugbowo, Benin City, and works as a
security guard in the area, specializes in using N100 to
N200 to lure his unsuspecting victims who are children and
teenagers between the ages of 10 to 15years and have an
unnatural carnal knowledge of them through their a**s by
applying a bleaching cream on both his manhood and the
victim's a**s as the case may be, for easy pe*******on.
Luck ran out on him as one of his victim ‘M’ 13years (name
withheld) fell ill with swollen feet, face and pus all over his
body. Medical examination revealed that his liver and kidney
is damaged as a result of a certain chemical contained in
bleaching creams.
Upon further inquiry by the victim's parents, he confessed
that a certain man in the area forced his way and forcibly
had carnal knowledge of him. He said it was in that process
that he applied the cream in his a**s, hence the report to
the police.
On receipt of the information the operatives of the
command immediately swung into action arrested Ovie
Oktogbo ‘M’ who is cooperating with investigation. He
confessed to have defiled nine (9) boys in the area. Six (6)
have already been identified and their parents also made a
formal complaint to the commissioner of police to that
effect while three (3) out of the nine (9) children are yet to
be identified.

Ngige said Nigeria’s passing through hard times,

result of poor planning over the years.

The minister spoke in his office after his
induction as a Distinguished Honorary Fellow of
the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and
Corporate Governance, a leading global
professional body of both present and aspiring
leaders, entrepreneurs, and people in corporate
governance.
These were contained in a statement on
Wednesday by Deputy Director , Press and Public
Relations of the ministry, Charles Akpan.
The statement read, “I know that our country is
passing through a very rough time now because
we have not planned well. It is not this
administration. We know we were all dependent
on oil. So, when oil prices came crashing and
when security issues arose, disrupting
production, we were caught napping. Because of
that, we went into recession. Later on, COVID-19
forced us to go into a second recession. We are
not yet out of the woods.

President Muhammadu Buhari, has again praised himself, saying that if he had not intervened in Lagos-Ibadan transport projects, “people would’ve been trekking from Lagos to Abuja”.

Buhari who on Tuesday said prioritizing infrastructure projects ameliorated hardship in some parts of the country, particularly the quick intervention on the Lagos-Ibadan route with completion of road and rail lines, which improved the traffic significantly.

“My objective was very clear, despite the dwindling resources, I wanted to deal with infrastructure across the country,’’ the President told a delegation from Kaduna State, led by the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, and Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Hadiza Sabuwa Balaraba at the State House.

“We should look at advancement in terms of Infrastructure. No country can advance without infrastructure. There used to be railways, especially people from Southern Kaduna will remember this.

“Which country can really advance without road, rail and power, that’s why I wanted to sort out infrastructure, knowing that Nigerians are competitive by nature, and they will face their businesses when there’s road, rail and power,’’ he added.

The President said the challenge of commuting in the South West had been improved.

“The people from South West can tell better because between Lagos and Ibadan by now, if we hadn’t done what we did, people would have been trekking because the road was not there, the rail was not there and there was so much insecurity.

“But we thank the international community. We thank China and Chinese investors, who came along to support the Lagos-Ibadan transport projects,’’ he said.
