PHOTONEWS): 19-year-old Indian conjoined twins get their dream job as electricians

Conjoined twin brothers from India have got their 'dream job' as electricians, 19 years after they were abandoned by their parents at two months old.

Sohna and Mohna Singh, 19, have been employed by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to look after the electrical appliances in the companies supply control room.

The twins, who grew up at a home for impoverished families near Amritsar in Punjab, have said they are 'deeply thankful' for the opportunity.

A boy born in 1985 thinks his grandparents have no idea how difficult life is, but they have survived several wars and disasters.

A boy born in 1995 and now 25 years old thinks it's the end of the world when his Amazon package takes over three days to arrive or when he doesn't get more than 15 likes for their photo posted on Facebook or Instagram. ....

In 2020, many of us live comfortably, have access to different sources of home entertainment, and often have more than we need.

None of this existed before.

THE STORY OF HOW AFONJA LOST ILORIN AND IT'S KINGSHIP TO FULANI PEOPLE

Ilorin was founded by the Yorùbá people,it became the provincial military headquarters of the Oyo Empire (Oyo Ile).
At the period of the formation, Ilorin was controlled by By Afonja,the sixth Are-Ona-Kakanfo or chief military leader and successor of Are-Ona Okay of jabata.
Afonja carried out military functions for then Aláàfin Aole,the son of Aláàfin Abiodun.
Aole resigned between 1789 and 1796. It was during this time that Shehu Alimi,a Fulani cleric arrived with some of his tribesmen were all welcomed and hosted by Afonja.
After a while, conflict broke out between Aláàfin Aole and Afonja
Aláàfin had ordered Afonja to attack a town called Iwere-ile., Afonja thought it was a sucidial mission and stubbornly refused.
Afonja disobeyed Aláàfin Aole because a former Aláàfin named Ajagbo had placed curses on any kakanfo that attempt to attack
Ile-Iwere.
Ile-Iwere is the hometown of Sole's paternal grandmother. In the middle of the controversy,Aláàfin Aole ordered Afonja to attached Apomu,a well-known and a strong town in Ile-Ife. This was in 1795,the controversy heated up to the point that,they
Resulted to trash things out with dispute and Violence.
At this stage,Afonja sought the help and support of Shehu Alimi (also knowns as Shehu Janta),Shehu Alimi has both spiritual power and military power. On their way back from Apomu journey, Afonja stopped at
Oyo-ile to dealt with Aláàfin Aole, Afonja sent an empty calabash to Aole incidating his exclusion as the Aláàfin and according to the culture and traditions of Oyo,he was to commit sucide at such, which he did.Some historians claims that before Afonja committed Sucide,he performed some rituals and cursed Yoruba land, some even believes that Aole's curse is the reason behind the Inter-tribal wars that broke out in the following years such as kiriji war,Egba-dahomey
War and so on. Aole was succeded by Adebo (1796 to 1797). Makun succeded Adebo, unfortunately he only ruled for few months before his death 1792 to 1802,the Oyo throne was vacant for a while.
It was in 1802 that Aláàfin Majoku was crowned and it's was during
His reign the Are-Ona-Kakanfo lost Ilorin to the Fulani people.
After defeating Aole, Afonja and
Alimi's relationship became so strong, Afonja appointed Alimi's men into his Army and dismissed many of his men.
Unknowing to Afonja, the Fulanis were systematically invading his army and it was too late before he realised.
After Shehu Alimi's death, his son Abdulsalem earnestly craved to rule Ilorin and planned a coup against Afonja.
Abdulsalem's men shot Afonja arrows till he died. He was shot many arrows that his dead body remained suspended in an upright position for a long period of time.
After the mudered of Are-Ona-Kakanfo Afonja, Abdulsalem,the son of Shehu Alimi sized the control
Of Ilorin and ruled Ilorin with the title of Emir not oba. That was how Yorùbás lost Ilorin till date.
Afterwards the Yorubas makes every effort to regain control of Ilorin from Fulani Jammas but all attempts failed.
Tojeye,the successor of Afonja
Led the first and second attempts to drive Fulani people out of Ilorin. The second attempt I'd Known as Mugba Mugba war,the Yorùbá suffered untold defeat.
Abdulsalam became the Emir of Ilorin and pledged Loyalty to the Sokoto caliphate and subdued several towns in Yorùbá land and destroyed the Oyo capital, Oyo-ile.
Abdulsalam conducted a jihad towards the sea and was only stopped by the
Ibadan victory over his cavalrymen in Osogbo in 1840.
This was how Afonja lost Ilorin to the Fulani people.

On October 13 1972, Uruguayan Air force plane flight 571 carrying a rugby team from Uruguay, along with some of their friends and family and crew, was flying from Uruguay to Chile when it crashed in the peaks of the Andes mountain ranges. The survivors had only a bottle of rum and a few snacks to sustain them. After nine days, they resorted to eating the dead to stay alive .the survivors were rescued after 72 days , Reporter Alex Cullen spoke to some of the survivors in 2013.

The Nigerian Football team was originally called the “Red Devils” It is also worthy of note that veteran journalist Peter Osugo is credited as the person who changed the National football team from the Red Devils given by Harriet Allen in 1958 to the Green Eagles in 1961 Harriet Allen was the wife of NFA secretary Reginald Allen who later became the chairman and one of the founders of the Nigerian Football Supporters Association in 1958. The name of the team was again changed in 1988 by Vice President Augustus Aikhomu from Green Eagles 🦅 to Super Eagles when the team won a Silver medal in Morocco 🇲🇦

Mysterious Island in Kenya 😳
NO RETURN ISLAND (el-molo)
It is situated on the lake Turkana
Once you go into the island you never return back.

The island is just several kilometres long, though many tribes and locals lives in that island,as it is a popular belief that the place is cursed.

Locals say that many used to live on the island many years ago; they fished, hunted, traded with their relatives on the mainland.However, the island residents suddenly stopped coming to the mainland at all.
There was no sign of any human there expect birds which go there.
In 1935 ,2 British researchers who visited the island never returned.
Scientist also believe there could be an allen activity on the island

A Pulitzer prize photo, and certainly worthy of that award...
This photo shows two power linemen, Randall Champion and J. D. Thompson, at the top of a utility pole. They had been performing routine maintenance when Champion brushed one of the high voltage lines at the very top. Over 4000 volts entered Champion’s body and instantly stopped his heart (an electric chair uses about 2000 volts). His safety harness prevented a fall, and Thompson, who had been ascending below him, quickly reached him and performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. He was unable to perform CPR given the circumstances, but continued breathing into Champion’s lungs until he felt a slight pulse, then unbuckled his harness and descended with him on his shoulder.
Thompson and another worker administered CPR on the ground, and Champion was moderately revived by the time paramedics arrived, eventually making a full recovery.

This photograph of 12-year-old Diego Frazo Torquato evoked emotion in much of the world when it appeared in the media in October of 2009. Diego was playing the violin at the funeral of his teacher, John Evandro da Silva, who had formed Afroreggae, an NGO that worked to combat the trafficking of young people. John had given Diego hope of escaping poverty through the power of music and he was a proud member of Afroreggae. Sadly, the following year, Diego died from leukemia.

HERE IS THE FACT ABOUT CHRISTIANITY IN NIGERIA

According to the Nigeria history and what we learned in our elementary and secondary School, we are told and read that the first Church was built in Nigeria in 18th century and the church name is Cathedral Church of St. Peter in Ogun State .. NO that's Capital No...

The first Church was built in Ode-Itsekiri, the birth place of Christianity in Nigeria affirmed

The affirmation was done by no less than His Lordship, Bishop of Warri Catholic Diocese, the very Rev Dr John Okeoghene at at the unveiling of the Madonna grotto and the celebration of the first mass at the St Anthony's Catholic Church Ode-Itsekiri

In the words of the Bishop the first Church in Nigeria was built in Ode-Itsekiri in the 16th century by the Capuchin priests and not Badagary that we see in contemporary history.

The first church was a monastery called St. Anthony’s Monastery which was later corrupted by the Itsekiris to "Satoni” . It was designed by a monk Rev.Fr. Pattazio and built between 1690 -1692. The extract below from early visitors to Warri in the 16th century confirms this

"There is a church in the city , with an altar and on it a picture of Christ on the Cross with Mary and the Apostles, and beside it two candlesticks.
