AN OPEN LETTER TO THE HON. MINISTER
OF THE FCT. BARR NYESOME WIKE

The Hon. Minister,
Federal Capital Territory,
Abuja.

Dear Sir.

REQUEST FOR THE REMOVAL OF BARRICATION AT KARU CENTRAL MOSQUE
JUNCTION, KARU FCT ABUJA.

The Honourable Minister Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. On behalf of the entire Karu Community. Karu FCT Abuja.

We write to express our appreciation on your untired effort towards the achievement of a simple traffic master control and management that allows for free flow of traffic in the entire city of Abuja and its environ. The installation and maintenance of Traffic light is highly commendable.

However, the situation at Karu Central Mosque Junction along Karshi express road calls for a serious concern due to barication placed at the junction, we think the barication is means to ease the traffic but rather increase the number of casualties in a daily basis. In order to get a lasting solution, we believed that is why a traffic light was installed there to allow free flow of traffic.

Moreso, to our dismay since installation, the barication remain there keeping us in hope everyday awaiting for the removal of the barircade still in vain.

Admittedly, our nation is today in a very precarious situation. A time like this certainly calls for hard work and honesty of purpose from everyone; and some time, someday, we shall overcome.

You are making a difference in your generation. For some time now, you have been in the eye of the storm – sometimes for good reasons. And that’s how it should be.

Sir, the attention of the transport Secretariat FCDA, should be called upon, to question the Director of Road Traffic Services, through the Area Commander Karshi Area Office, who is using Karu Masallaci junction, as an avenue of extortion from motorist.

We have writing to the Area Commander Karshi Area Office, some days ago, so that it gets to you before the youth come roaring.

We appreciate your determination to sanitise the FCT and make it retain its aesthetic value of being called a nation’s capital. We have observed elsewhere that there comes a time when residents have to embark on free flow movement.

Therefore, in view of the above, we humbly request your good office to remove the barricade in order to put the traffic light into use for the purpose of freeing the traffic at the junction.

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

Yours faithfully
Karu Community.

EZIKIEL DALHATU TURBANED AS
SARKIN YAKIN KUDU OF JIWA KINGDOM

The Federal Commissioner Representing the good people of the FCT in the Public Complain Commission ( PCC ) was TURBANED as the Sarin Yakin Kudu of Jiwa Kingdom by HRH Alh Idris Musa the Emir of Jiwa.

The Commissioner in his speech, he says " It is a great honour to be here today among the celebrant, to celebrate with the entire people of the FCT not only Jiwa Kingdom.

We rejoice with the sons and daughters of the Jiwa Kingdom, both at home and in the diaspora. The massive crowd gathered here today, speaks to the importance of this occasion.

As a Bible Proverb says, when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. The people of Jiwa Kingdom are blessed with a competent and lovely Royal Father, who is been loved by his people.

Our gathering here today is a victory for the sons and daughters of Jiwa Kingdom and the FCT at large, for restoration of our traditional systems.

I have always taken a stand for the integrity of our traditional systems, and so I am especially delighted that today is a historic day in the History of the FCT.

His Royal Highness Alh Idris Musa , has distinguished himself as an excellent professional. He has without doubt contributed and will continue to contribute to the development of the Jiwa and the FCT at large. He has served both in private and public services.

And I want to reinstate that, politicians will come and go, sometimes, to satisfy our political whims, we may make decisions that do not protect our traditional systems. But this is why the custodians of our culture must always take a stand against politicians tinkering with age-old traditional systems.

Our elders, the members of the various councils, the chiefs, our traditional fathers are the gatekeepers and they must remain steadfast in their role. Remember, no politician can destroy any system without the cooperation of some members of these systems. We need your unity to build one United FCT.

TUDUN BIRI COMMUNITY DISOWNS N33bn SUIT AGAINST FG

Kaduna bombing: Tudun Biri community disowns N33bn suit against FG
Tudun Biri community has disowned a suit instituted at the Federal High Court Kaduna seeking N33 billion compensation for victims of the drone attack which killed over 100 people in the community.

A supposed villager named Dalhatu Salihu claimed to have, on behalf of the people of Tudun Biri, filed a suit through a lawyer, Mukhtar Usman, at the Federal High Court, Kaduna demanding the said amount as compensation.

But the leaders of the community and people directly affected by the bomb mishap when they visited Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on Wednesday, disclaimed the suit.

The leaders of the community said they were not aware and did not mandate anyone to file a suit on their behalf, saying, “we don’t know anyone by that name and he is not from the community.”

Speaking on behalf of the community, the village head of Tudun Biri, Malam Balarabe Garba added that they were satisfied with the action of the Federal Government and the support rendered so far by the Kaduna state government.

He appealed to the government that in addition to the various promises, they have graduates that are jobless, who should be assisted with jobs.

The village head, who said they were in Government House to thank Governor Uba Sani, noted, “we learnt that some people went to court on our behalf, we are not part of this, we didn’t support this and we didn’t send anyone to go to court.

“We are peaceful people and we don’t support taking the government to court. We are happy with the reaction of the Kaduna state and Federal Government following the bomb incident.

“The Federal Government and Kaduna state government took several measures and made promises, which we can only appreciate them for the support.”

Also speaking, the leader of the Christians in Tudun Biri, Reverend Musa Saidu, expressed appreciation to Kaduna state government and the Federal Government for the steps taken to support the people of the community over the accident.

“We are united and we do things together. There is no way we are going to support anyone to take measures against government who came to our assistance and is doing everything possible to ensure the welfare of the people of the community. On behalf of Christians in Tudun Biri, we have not mandated anyone to take government to court.”

The Chief Imam of Tudun Biri, Malam Ashiru Ja’afaru, said they are happy with what the government is doing about the incident, and would support the government to fulfill its promises.

“We, the relatives of the people affected by the bomb incident, are here to meet with the governor of Kaduna state to express our appreciation to the Kaduna state government for its support.

“We didn’t mandate anybody to take government to court, whoever did that is not from us, we didn’t know him and he is doing it without our permission. We urge the Kaduna state government to find him and let the law take its course.”

In his response, the state governor, Senator Uba Sani, said several parties have made efforts to give the bomb incident religious colouration or politicize it, adding that being one of the most united communities in Kaduna state, the resilient community resisted all the overtures.

“The gap between their church and mosque is less than 100 meters. The idea of anyone going to court on behalf of the family of the victims is not true. The community asked us to investigate the issue and anyone found wanting would face the law.

“We assured them that Kaduna state government will continue to support them. We want to form a committee to decide how to share the money that have been donated to them by well-meaning Nigerians. We want them to bring five people from their community as members of this committee.

“The donations would go directly to the families of those that lost their lives and those in the hospital. We appreciate the family of the affected people for their resilience to resist efforts by religious merchants who want to use this unfortunate incident to cause disharmony in our community.”

HON. ADAMU SHEKWONLUMI.
STAND OUT AMONGS THE FCT YOUTH

Adamu SHEKWONLUMI, is the only young philanthropist I never see face to face but, I always viewed writes ups from Facebook writers admiring him and praising him on how he touched the lives of others secretly without letting people know.

I summons courage and admiration to write and ginger him to do more, the feedback he can only receive from me is that, FCT youth are really clamouring for his aspiration. Not too young to rule. The sky will be the starting point.

Gratitude to Allah Ta'alah is a secret code that unlocks amazing favours. May we be among those who always say "Alhamdulillah" in every situation. May Allah Ta'alah be our comfort on every worrying moment, our strength when we are weak & Nurr in our dark moments.

May the Peace and Blessings of Allah Ta'ala be upon us, our parent and our entire household. Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, make our last day be the best day of our lives and admit us, our parents, our families, friends and loved ones into Jannatul Firdaus. Amin ya Rabbal Alamin. Sabahul Khair and do have a great day ahead. Juma'a Mubarak*.

FCT NATIVES SHOULD UNITE FOR MORE
DIVEDEND OF THE DEMOCRACY
CONGRATULATIONS HON ZAPHANIAH JISALO

Hon. Zaphania Bitrus Jisalo has made itamongst the Ministerial nominees representing the good people of the FCT, It is indeed a welcome development, this is what the FCT natives are clamouring for a long period of time.

It is a historic appointment, the jinx had been broken by the president of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Against the backdrop of inciting comments across the FCT in recent times, political parties, government institutions, civil society organisations, and citizens at large have been implored to prioritise national interests above personal or parochial agenda,

Let embrace one another for Jisalo success, it is indeed a credit to the entire people of the FCT, Jisalo need our support and prayers to lead the people of the FCT to fulfil their dreams

It is only through collective action and inclusiveness that we can overcome the obstacles that hinder our progress in the FCT We urge all stakeholders to foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance. It is incumbent upon each of us to refrain from engaging in divisive rhetoric and to promote unity, harmony, and peace within our communities in the FCT.

As responsible and patriotic citizens, we should remain committed to the rejuvenation of our great FCT through the implementation of effective policies aimed at fostering positive change. Regrettably, our endeavours have been overshadowed by disparaging remarks from individuals who should exemplify higher standards.

It is crucial that we take this opportunity to call for decorum, as the preservation of sanity, unity, togetherness and harmony within our communities in the FCT hangs in the balance.”

“We appeal to all concerned youths to recognise the irreplaceable nature of our FCT. Our democracy serves as the bedrock upon which our collective aspirations and yearnings find expression. Our diversity, a divine endowment, remains unchangeable by any but the divine Himself,

it is imperative that we embrace unity and progress as the guiding principles for our collective journey, we emphasize the need to exercise caution and avoid hasty conclusions. We earnestly implore all individuals to desist from making unnecessary comments and hurling insults targeting specific Area, ethnic groups, or religious affiliations. Failure to adhere to this call for restraint, will only serve to fuel further disunity amongst FCT natives.

Finally please let's pray for late Barr. Musa Baba Panya, who fought for the people of the FCT Ministerial Slot, but today he is no more to enjoy the sweat of his labour. May your soul Rest in perfect peace.

Come Ahmed Abdullahi Justice

The indigenous stakeholders of Karu Chiefdom in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the FCT have petitioned the FCT Minister, Mohammad Musa Bello, and urged him to suspend the allocation of lands at Karu Kuchi, adjacent Karu Site, to the natives of Old Karu until a new Sa’Karuyi is enthroned in line with their tradition.

The natives, in a petition addressed to the minister, which was signed by the convener, Mr Shekwaga Anyisa; and Secretary, Sumner Shagari Sambo, and issued to newsmen on Sunday, urged the minister to set up a neutral and unbiased independent investigative committee to probe the lopsided exercise and use of fictitious names by some greedy individuals to corner large portions of the lands to be allocated by the FCT Administration (FCTA)

The stakeholders called for names to be verified and accredited as original inhabitants of Karu community in Abuja, saying such demand became necessary due to information that some names were imported from New Karu in Nasarawa State to serve as placeholder beneficiaries for a greedy few.

They noted that the land allocation process should be suspended pending when a new Sa’Karuyi was chosen by the kingmakers of Karu Chiefdom.

The petition reads in part: “It is in the light of the foregoing and considering that Karu Kuchi is our ancestral land and initial abode before our forefathers descended from the hills to our present location. We urgently request that the land allocation process be suspended pending the emergence of a new Sa’Karuyi who is the government recognised traditional ruler.”

The stakeholders further appealed to the minister to expedite action towards filling the vacuum created by the death of the immediate past Sa’Karuyi, Emmanuel Kyauta Yepwi.

UPDATE ON APC NATIONAL CONVENTION

The general public is advised to completely disregard fake news on the reported suspension of the planned National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) till June, as reported by some media outlets.

Dates for Party activities such as meetings, Primaries, Congresses, National Conventions are communicated through well-known official channels and not through 'sources'.

The faceless authors and sponsors of fake news on APC activities, in this case the planned National Convention are simply bent on causing confusion and formenting crisis through misinformation. We should not enable them.

As a focus-driven, process-oriented political party, the APC Caretaker Committee under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni will not be distracted by self-serving antics of these sponsors of fake news. The APC Caretaker Committee is already embarking on nationwide consultations with Party stakeholders to prepare the ground for a rancour-free National Convention. To this end, the sub-committee on budgeting and other substructures will be set up in due course.

Finally, the Party notes and appreciates the continued support of well-meaning members and leaders as the APC Caretaker Committee undertakes the immediate task of addressing contestations within the Party, litigations, fallouts of recently-conducted Congresses and generally reposition the Party ahead of the National Convention.
