Why are people are shading Davido for not winning the Grammy?

January 4th was the 66th Grammy awards, and Nigeria got 10 nominations in different categories.

While people like Burna Boy, Olamide, Asake, Tems & Ayra Starr all got nominations, none of them won in their respective categories.

It does seem like people are taking Davido's inability to win to another level.

Well, it might interest you to know that;

• This is the first time Nigeria alone is getting up to 10 nominations at once at the Grammies.

• No Nigerian has ever won the award at their first time. In 2020, Burna Boy was nominated as a standalone act for his album, African Giant. However, he lost the award to Angelique Kidjo. The following year, he won it.

• Nigerians have been going to the Grammies without a win before 2021. Femi Kuti was nominated about 4 times and he lost all.

• Davido is one of the few Nigerian artistes to be nominated for their solo music. Wizkid and some others had won the award previously, but it was based on collaboration.

• Olamide is the first Nigerian rapper to be nominated for the Grammies.

• Nigeria holds the record for the most Grammy wins among African countries, thanks to its vibrant music scene and talented artists.

In all, I think this is a win for Nigeria. It only means that the music art of Nigeria is increasing in global recognition.

And Nigerian musicians have repeatedly proven that they don't need awards to validate their relevance.

Nobody ever achieved greatness by trying only once.

Davido will eventually win the Grammy. And so will other Nigerian artistes. As long as they keep working hard.

Nigeria is still the giant of Africa after all.

Your Facebook name can ruin important opportunities for you!

One night in December 2016, Isabel had a stranger slide in her DM with a rather unusual opening conversation.

The guy started like this: Hello, Isabel. We've been friends for a while on this space, but I recently took notice of you. Seeing your surname, I was wondering if you're Idoma, so I came to ask you that.

Isabel replied, "Of course, I'm from Benue!"

This conversation went ahead to be the most beautiful conversations the duo ever had.

Fast-forward to December 2019, Isabella was married with a kid, and guess who the lucky man is? The gentleman who slid in his DM!

Why am I sharing this story?

Because even though many people don't know, your Facebook name or names you use across your social media platforms can cause you to encounter fortune, or miss a big opportunity!

What do I mean by this?

A lot of people open accounts on Facebook with uncomely names. Many times, they just chose the name because of some random intuition, and not because the name makes any meaning.

You'd see someone answering a name online that could only make you wonder if the person is in their right senses.

Now let me ask you a question. Someone recommended two gifted writers to you for a huge content writing contract. The first recommendation goes by the name Jessica Ndukwe. The second goes by the name Jøjø Sēxy WasRestricted. Intuitively, who would your mind tell you is the more trustworthy person? Even though they're equally gifted and skilled, who would you rather work with?

In case you think this is a daydream, just know that people have landed unbelievable deals online, without having to meet the person first!

Do you think those useful connections could have been made in the first place if those people had weird names?

People have been married to people they first met online. And people have closed deals of millions from relationships that started exclusively on the internet.

Now, what if Isabel didn't have her real name on Facebook? What if her name was set as "Mhīz Pøpcōrn," or "Hōt Chōkø"? Do you think they'll have connected so deeply, and ended up as life partners?

Everyday, people pick very uncomfortable names without knowing that there are implications to these things.

Unless you don't intend to use your platform for business or any meaningful connection at that, you have to be careful the kind of name you use!

Nobody will tell you this, but people want a name they can relate with. They want a name that feels real.

By the way, I hope you also know that your the kind of name you answer on Facebook can prevent you for possibly getting verified in the future?

The Starboy himself came out in good fate and asked his fans to go and stream the latest Album from O.B.O.

Wizkid called him, "My Brother."

Meanwhile, the fans can't stop dragging and making mess of each other on social media.

Davido is the one who released an Album, but people can't stop dragging Wizkid into it.

The truth is that all this bitterness is highly unnecessary.

These two men are legendary, no cap. They're bosses in their own rights. Each one of them is amazing in their own unique way.

Why the propaganda of hatred?

Well, I understand that banter is normal in the industry of competitiveness, but some people are taking it too far.

If you see some posts online, it'll be obvious that it's fueled by pure hatred.

You can fan both Davido and Wizkid and still be normal. You can love both, and still not be weird. As long as they both make good music, it's okay.

They're both Nigerians, and they're both Africans. Believe it or not, they're making us proud. So, where's the respect?

At the end of the day, these stars may not even have the amount of hate towards each other that people think they do.

Let's be matured. Let Love Lead.

This guy called DAVIDO is a master strategist. Dude literally plans his moves way ahead.

After the unfortunate incident that led to the death of his son, baba went AWOL and disappeared completely on social media for nearly 5 months, the only exception being when he performed at the world cup final.

Prior to his comeback, he deleted everything on his Instagram except 3, and equally removed his IG display picture.

His 30GB crew followed suit and deleted their DPs to pay homage to their Boss.

These actions couldn't help but shake the walls of internet space.

How could you not notice the absence of Omo Baba Olowo?

Davido's fans were really looking forward to his return, an many even begged him to come back. The 30BG fans even went as far as designing a mock album cover for him.

Well, the king came back with a huge bang!

Little did anybody know that nearly 5 months of his absence, he was cooking his next big thing.

Now, he has announced the release of his next studio album, "TIMELESS."

Who could have known? It was all part of marketing tactics!

The world will definitely stand still for him on 31st of March.

Even Davido's enemies will listen to that album.

Even if the songs in the album aren't the best, the project will definitely sell.

THE JUNE 12 SAGA: The Story of a man whose mandate was stolen forever!

A lot of Nigerians are clamouring for an end to INEC's embattled declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President, because the process was corrupt.

They're demanding for the declaration of Peter Obi as the rightful President of the country.

What Nigerians do not know is that, History is repeating itself.

Exactly 30 years ago, there was an election in Nigeria. It is famed to be one of the most peaceful and largely participated elections I'm the history of Nigeria.

This was in the wake of 1993, when Nigeria was heaving from suffering under military rule.

After many years of unbearable control by the Army, the head of state then, Ibrahim Babangida was under pressure to give back the power to civilians, so he conducted an election to enable the transition of power.

The man, 55-year-old Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, popularly known as M.K.O. Abiola came out to run for president. He had beaten a couple of people in his party primaries, including then 45-year-old Atiku Abubakar.

M.K.O. was a business man and a philanthropist. He quickly became a favourite to win the election.

This was a time when Nigerians were tired of bad government. A time when Nigerians wanted a radical change in the economy of the country. A time when people were looking forward to a NEW NIGERIA.

Abiola was a man who had a track record of honesty and integrity. Everyone knew he was the man for the job. He was the man to save Nigeria.

For this reason, the citizens of the most populous black country in the world voted unanimously without tribalism. They voted without religious sentiment. They voted with fairness and justice.

Every region in Nigeria voted M.K.O. homogeneously. They believed in one Nigeria.

However, after the election was conducted on June 13, 1993, something unacceptable happened. Everyone knew that M.K.O. had won. Every nook and cranny of the nation was beaming with joy for the man had won.

Abiola had already written his acceptance speech to address Nigerians.

But no, the evil military government had another plan. They came out and declared the election inconclusive.

Babangida said the election would be cancelled because there were irregularities. This was vehemently kicked against by Nigerians.

Mind you, Babangida was a close friend of Abiola's. But he lied that his hands were tied, an he too was helpless in the matter.

On June 24, 1993, Abiola was ordered to desist from parading himself as President.

There was widespread protests in the country because everyone knew the truth.

That is why till today, people say "June 12" as an allegory for an incoherent process or an unclear judgment.

Unfortunately, the declaration was enforced by the military government, and Abiola was later arrested for declaring himself president.

Sadly, M.K.O. Abiola passed away under custody a few years later.

This man's mandate was stolen forever.

However, M.K.O. Abiola became a symbol of democracy, and a significant figure in civil struggle. Such that in 2015, June 12 was declared by Muhammadu Buhari as the new Democracy Day.

Is Peter Obi the Abiola of 21s Century?

I think not. Peter Obi is a symbol of the new democratic revolution. He will reclaim his mandate and make Abiola proud in his grave.

They may rig the election, but they can't rig the truth. Neither can they rig our conscience.

Tinubu will never be President of Nigeria unless Nigerian Youths are dead.

Unless God is sleeping.

A dying man can't save a dying country.

Nobody says we'll keep mute.

Our trump cards aren't finished.
There's the court. There's the international court of Justice, there's the United Nations, and there's PROTEST!!!

If INEC plays part to this daylight robbery of an election, would have been a rehearsal to the coming REVOLUTION.

Interesting facts about 2023 election.

Did you know?

In 2015, 68 million Nigerians were eligible voters, but only 29 million people voted. Thus, the fate of 184 million people were decided by only 15% of the population.

In 2019, 84 million Nigerians were eligible voters, but only 28 million people voted. Thus, the fate of 200 Million people was decided by only 33% of the population.

Now, in 2023, there are 93 million eligible voters.

Currently, Nigeria has the population of 223 million people.

How many percent of the population will decide our fate?

Are we going to fold our arms and watch a few decide the future of many?

It might interest you to know that out of the 93 million registered voters, over 60 million are under the age of 50.

This means that the youths occupy more than 60 percent of the voting population.

Are we going to allow our fate to be decided by the selected few?

In case you don't know, Buhari won the presidential election by a margin of less than 4 million votes.

So, before you say your vote doesn't matter, think about the future of over 200 million people.

Come out massively on Saturday and vote for the best candidate in the ballot.

Of course, you know I'm talking about ObiDatti. I'm talking about Labour Party.

Let's make a difference and take back our country.
