1st November 2013 was the day my Dad brought home a huge fairly-used fridge.

We all couldn't contain our excitement at the sight of the white invention. It was unbelievable.

My Dad was the first tenant to ever buy a generator (I pass my neighbor) in that compound, and now he had done it again with another huge acquisition.

The news spread through the neighborhood like wildfire, and doubtful neighbors had drew nearer to see things for themselves.

So after we had carried the fridge into the living room, my Dad called us together for a briefing.

"Make all of una listen to me!" He began in a serious tone "You see this fridge? it can be a blessing to you and it can also be a curse"

"How!?" My Mom had asked curiously

My Dad then brought out a piece of paper from his pocket, opened it and began to read aloud.

"Number 1!" Dad began "Don't touch this fridge with wet hands, wether light dey or not!"

"Number 2!... Always wear slippers or shoe before you open am!"

"Number 3!... No ever sleep near this fridge, because if your body touch am, sorry is your name"

"Number 4!... No put garri inside this fridge, I take God beg you. This fridge no dey use eye see garri"

"But daddy, why?" I interrupted

"Shut up there!" Dad snapped back

"Number 5!... Pray without ceasing"

So after a long sermon from him, we all prayed together and began assembling the fridge. All that Dad had said was true, because no day ever passed since that day that we didn't receive one shock or another.

"One day this fridge go kill us o" My brother would cry out to me after getting shocked

So, weeks later, this Aunty of ours came visiting from the village. She had come to spend the Christmas holiday with us.

Moments after her arrival, we decided to brief her on the DOs and DON'Ts of our fridge but she wouldn't heed to us.

"See this children o" She would say mockingly "You think this is my first time seeing a fridge? taah! y'all go and sit down"

Well, we always let her be, and each day she reaps the consequences wotoporously - Back to back shocking.

One night, something incredible happened.

We were all busy sleeping on the livingroom couch when she had left the couch to lie on the floor due to heat.

Somehow, she had slept off and rolled up to where the fridge stood. What we heard next was a dying shriek.

"Yeee! yeeeee!! yeeeeeee!!!"

We all woke up to the aroma of roasted goat. Our dear Aunty was sitting on the floor sobbing.

"Aunty! wetin happen?" We clustered about her.

"See am! E don shock me again" She revealed, showing us a big scar on her arm.

I began to giggle, unnoticed.

"Wetin I do una?" She voiced amidst tears "Una wan kee me because I no get husband?"

Dad and Mom immediately walked in, demanding what actually transpired.

"Even when light no dey, fridge dey shock" Her lamentations continued "Which kind fridge be dis?"

My Dad then tried to console her.

"Tell me! This thing na fridge abi na transformer?" She finalized and burst into tears

Dear Parents, after you have paid all the school fees including fees for books for all your children, remove just N5,000.00/N10,000.00 from your account.

On your way home, buy Hollandia yogurt, or any good yogurt, Coke or any of your favorite drink.

When you get home, Lock your door, undress yourself to feel free.
Put on the fan.

Please don't sit on the chair, spread on the floor and make sure you tear that chicken/fish as you listen to the song.

Then step it down with your drink.

One thing you need to know is that, Problem no dey finish for this world.

So no kill yourself trying to solve everything without taking a break to relax and enjoy your life.

Many people ended up in the grave without eating 10% of their sweat.

Look after yourself first before anything else.

A dead person doesn't hustle again.

Dear men, before you decide to keep a side chic, know that some of these girls are psychiatric ward worthy ..

For a while now, a certain PortHarcourt girl has refused to leave a friend of mine and her peace of mind alone.

Begining December last year when the man in question dumped the side chick to avoid billing, she contacted the wife to "report the husband" to her.

Madam said, get in line, una many.

Till this September, she keeps sending madam messages with different numbers. Now here's the real weird part, it is not threatening messages, it's not menacing but famzing.

I love the dress you wore to work today, you looked gorgeous, I wonder why your husband cheats around.

Early in the year, she sent an sms saying madam you should check your HIV status because I'm positive and it was your husband who infected me.

Madam replied and said thank you for informing me but we have not been intimate for years so I am good thank you. All the best with your treatment.

Another time, it was her son's birthday, she sent a message with a new number as others get blocked, asking if she could drop xyz gift at his school ... She called the boy's name.

A colleague even said she travelled out.

Then this Monday morning, months going to a year soon, this girl has sent another message, just when my friend thought she had stopped.
She described what my friend wore to church yesterday and the new car she changed to dispose the old one.

Note my friend isn't on social media anymore, she deactivated all accounts, she never was social so she doesn't go/hang out.

Na the matter we dey on this morning so.🤦🏿

My mouth is full for these men that keep bringing danger to the doorstep .. a good number of these girls are going through alot psychologically and you disrupt their lives when you have a whole wife and kid at home.

So on the bus today, someone brought out a real iPhone 14 pro max and was offering to sell it to my friend for 75k last. He said his mother was in the hospital and they needed 75k for the surgery which was why he needed the exact amount.

Since he mentioned 75k, my friend started pricing it for 50k.

To buy was hungrying him.

I collected it and checked.

Everything is working fine. The screen of the phone had the seller's picture as Screen saver.

I told my friend that the phone could be stolen.

He said even though it is, he would flash it and change the casing or resell it immediately.

That is how my friend paid o.

Through transfer.

Despite my warning.

I was just holding the phone and looking at it in shock.

At a point I wished it was me that bought it.

But kai.

50k for iPhone?

No na.

No amount of desperation would make me sell for 50k.

We alighted from the bus and waved at the man who said he was rushing to the hospital to begin the process of the surgery with the money.

My friend and I sat down under a tree to look at the phone he had bought again.

While the phone, it turned off.

The screen could not turn on again.

We felt it was battery so we decided to find a place to charge it.

Suddenly, the screen turned on again.

We started seeing the screen showing.

"Searching..."

The search icon stayed for like 2 minutes rotating like planet Earth.

Then it switched to.

"Tracking... Tracking... Tracking..."

I was the one holding the phone at that moment.

I quickly gave my friend his phone to hold first.

He didn't collect it again.

He said I should hold it.

I didn't understand anymore. So I shouted at him.

"Bros collect your phone na."

"Shey you dey hold am. Just dey hold am de go na. Make e track finish."

"Track who?"

"The thing e dey track?"

"Which thing? Oga hold your phone."

"Calm down na. We no know wetin e the track. Shey I dey here na. Hold am. Maybe e dey track network?"

"Hiaaann... Let it continue tracking network in your hand abeg. Hold your phone biko."

I shoved the phone in his pocket and continued began to walk home.

Suddenly from behind my friend shouted and ran past me.

I joined him to run.

While running I was asking him.

"Kelechi? Why are you running?"

Kelechi shouted back.

"The phone show location found."

"Which location?"

"I no know o. Maybe na our location."

I was still running right with Kelechi when I saw that he was running with the phone in his hand.

I turned back silently and started running left.

Left was a bush.

I didn't mind.

I kept following it and running for my life.

Only for me to turn back and see Kelechi following me behind with the phone still in his hand.
