Find out where they're from,what their family is like, their position in the family, the state of their relationship with their parents,their hobby and their career,their future plans, their medium term to long term goals, what drives them, what turns them off, their opinion and stand on certain matters, their life's philosophy, their significant childhood experiences, their dream project, the basis of their faith or their salvation story, the most significant lessons of their Christian experience, their perspective of leadership and authority,who are the standout authority figures in their life,their hopes,their regrets and so forth.
Personal questions will not only enable you learn who you're dealing with and enhance their sense of self-worth but will also make you earn respect for your intelligent probing and connect better as friends.
So when out on a date,make it question time and learning time.Its a time to TALK. Never let the usual desire to hold hands, to hug or to peer into each other's eyes derail you from this all-important mission of gathering information. Heart-breaks are often the result of not gathering information.
Talk. Discuss. This will take you far away from temptation zone.
Remember that you're not a judge to jump into their answers to make them justify their position. Listen patiently. Take time to process the answers to your questions as they will help you guage their heart and find out who they really are.
