Shafy Bello (Singer/Actress) Is 53 Today

We are wishing Nigerian film actress and singer Shaffy Bello a happy birthday today (8 October 1970). She first shot into the entertainment scene when she featured vocals in a 1997 hit song by Seyi Sodimu titled "Love Me Jeje". Shaffy’s first major role as an actress was in the Yoruba film Eti Keta (2010). After that, she appeared in numerous films, including Twisted Twins, Chief Daddy (2018), Hire A Man (2016), and others.

I know you see me struggling and want so much to help me get through what’s bringing me down..
And I love that you care enough to try to be there for me when you think I need it..
But this isn’t something that can be helped, fixed or solved..
Sometimes, I just get sad.
I don’t always have a reason and it’s not always caused by something.
We all have our own battles and struggles, and this is just part of my journey.
I know it doesn’t make sense and it confuses you,
Just know that it doesn’t have anything to do with you.
I wish I could explain it so that you understand, but this is how I get sometimes.
Take heart- it doesn’t mean I love you any less or that we’re having problems..far from it.
I need space and time when I get like this..I’m not shutting you out, I’m walling myself off from the world so I can get through these emotions.
I love and appreciate your concern for me, but I’ll be okay.
I always am.
I’ll deal with my feelings, find my way through the sadness and come back to your arms when I’m in a better place.
You’ve always stood beside me through all the storms we’ve faced, but this is different.
This is just me dealing with complicated emotions in the best way that I know how.
I can’t do that if I’m carrying the weight of the world at the same time.
This time- what I need- is how I stay happy the rest of the time.
All I ask is that you try to understand the best you can, keep holding my hand, and very, very soon, I’ll be hugging you with a happy smile and an open heart, just as always.
Even the clouds rain when they get too heavy, so this is my downpour.
See you on the other side, love.
Can’t wait to see the sunlight and you again.
Thank you for giving me what I need when I need it..
It’s because of you that the rain doesn’t last as long anymore.
And that’s the beautiful heart that I’ll spend the rest of my days loving..

We are wishing Nigerian film actress Toyin Afolayan popularly known as Lola Idije a happy birthday today (born 24 September 1959). She is a cousin of Adeyemi Afolayan (aka Ade Love) and aunt to Nigerian film actors Kunle Afolayan, Gabriel Afolayan, Aremu Afolayan and Moji Afolayan. Toyin started acting in the '80s due to the influence of Ade Love. She has remained active in Nollywood till date, featuring more in Yoruba movies. Toyin Afolayan is known as the initiator of popular internet slangs Soro Soke werey and Pele My Dear.
