You pay labourers to clear the bush for you,burn the weeds,pay labourers to make riggies or hip the ground for you then plant maize,spray chemicals. When the maize gets to a certain level,you pay labourers again to clear the weeds and when it time for you to harvest a woman that roasts maize at a junction in Auchi will come and prize 15 ears of corn for 200 naira and sells one for hundred naira. That is what we face in ivbiaro because we don't have one voice. Its time for farmers to wakeup in ivbiaro

In ivbiaro Gari sellers don't have an association where prices can be regulated or controlled that's why cassava farmers suffer a lot of humiliation from the buyers. Buyers control everything, its either you sell at their own price or no one buy yours that's why something must be done fast. Ivbiaro gari is the best in this part of the country that's why we have buyers from porthacourt ,Abuja,kano and Lagos. I am advising cassaver farmers to form an association where they can dictate the price of gari

The last time we had light in ivbiaro was about two weeks before sallah ,we celebrated sallah in total black out. I spoke to one bedc staff this morning and he sited a problem in Agbede which he said is being rectified as we speak..... so hopefully before the end of today or latest tomorrow, light will be restored

I spoke to hon Julius ihomvbiere yesterday on the present situation of the light in ivbiaro and he told me how he contacted the various managers of bedc. They said he shouldn't buy the poles and that they will provide poles themselves. He said he gave them till today if nothing is done he will buy the poles himself and find a way to fix it before the end of the week. This BEDC people from down to the top are all irresponsible. when it comes to collecting money you see them coming with red eyes now the Prof is trying his best to put things right but some of this corrupt officials are trying to slow things down into frustrating the Hon professor because they know he won't give them bribe they prefer to tax each house big money in other to fill their pockets.
