Franklin D. Roosevelt said: The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.

For three decades, the 30th most populous state in Nigeria has managed to stay afloat against all odds. It is in my firm belief in progress, unity of purpose and prosperity that I felicitate with Tarabans on this great occasion.

Taraba state under our great party, has moved above the average, heading toward a greater heigh and we won't relent. We have strived to present and provide the best within the limit of our productivity.

I congratulate the Governor of the State, Arc. Darius Ishaku, the deputy governor of the state, all commissioners, the legislature and judiciary.

I congratulates our House of Assembly members, House of Representatives members, Senators and all elected members of PDP in Taraba. We should strive to welcome change and challenges, because they are what help us grow. Our sole duty as public servants is to improve the welfare of our people - this must be our goal.

On the occasion of Taraba's 31th Birthday Anniversary, I charge you all to be responsible towards the growth of our dear state.

Lt. Col. Hon. Agbu is a retired Lt. Col in the Nigerian Military and also a gentle man with vast experience in military intelligence, conflict resolution and human capital development.

Agbu holds a Bsc in Political Science and Defense Studies, Msc in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology and has participated and contributed positively to several Harvard executive programs. The executive programs include, Senior Executive in National and international Security, Mastering Negotiation: Building Agreements across Boundaries, Driving Government Performance, and Global Change Agents: Leading with Commitment.

Agbu retired from the Nigerian Military after 21 years of meritorious service. Over the past years he has worked in various capacities in government and the private sector. He carried out several assignments on behalf of the Nigerian government in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria where he negotiated and convinced the top leadership of militant groups to accept amnesty which lead to the peaceful resolution of the long drawn conflict in the region.

He was Chairman Governing Board, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), and presently, Chairman/CEO of GH Security Services Ltd and also a Member of the Nigerian Presidential Committee on North East Initiative; tasked with rebuilding the North East region of Nigeria.

He is a philanthropist and loves spending time with his family
