Davido’s nanny, cook may face charges for negligence.

Nanny, cook detained in connection with the death of three-year-old Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of music artiste, Davido, and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, may remain in police custody until they are cleared by an autopsy report.

A credible source, said the nanny and the cook were directly in charge of Ifeanyi’s welfare, adding that they might also be liable for negligence.

The source said, “The cook and the nanny were the ones directly with the child, so, they are guilty of negligence until the autopsy is conducted. During investigation, we have suspects, and depending on the case, the suspects may or may not be released.

Women organisations under the aegis of Womanifesto movement, on Monday, provoked a fresh controversy over the 2023 elections saying none of the presidential candidates have told them their concrete plans for women and girls in the country.

Among the presidential candidates in the 2023 presidential election expected at the meeting with Rey women include Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress); Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party); Peter Obi (Labour Party) and 15 others.

Although they refused to declare support for any candidate, the women said that plans had been concluded to meet all presidential candidates on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, to table home their demands.

Lagos Rail Projects Ready 2022 — Gov Sanwo-Olu

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, on Monday, assured that the fourth quarter 2022 completion target for the Red and Blue line rail projects remains on course.

Mr Sanwo-Olu gave the assurance while addressing journalists after inspection of the projects at Ikeja, Yaba, Ebute Metta and Marina stations.

The Red and Blue line rail is part of the intermodal transportation system of the Sanwo-Olu administration in reducing gridlock and ensuring interconnectivity in different parts of the state.

When completed, the 37 kilometres Red Line Rail Project will link Agbado to Marina, while the 27.5 kilometres Blue line Rail Project will run from Okokomaiko to Marina.

He expressed satisfaction with the pace of works at the rail stations, as the contractors were on course, hoping that they would round up works on the Blue and Red line rails according to schedule for commercial activities later in the year.

”Our promise on the blue and the red line is still on course. We believe that by coming on a quarterly basis to supervise them, we would ensure that before the end of this year, we will see the trains on top of the tracks.

”That is our commitment and we will begin to monitor and check ourselves.

”It is a very iconic and landmark project that we are truly proud of. On behalf of the government, I want to commend all of our contractors because they are very committed.
