In a program tagged "I'm Taking Over", the Big Daddy Foundation headed by John Duru decided to celebrate with the kids and create a wonderful memory giving the children what would go down as one of the best time in their life as their happiness as can be seen through their smiles and activeness.

This week on series, the Campus Tori LUO team features Offonedu Ada Cynthia. Miss Offonedu is a graduate and a hard-working entrepreneur.

Ada is an entrepreneur who decided to start a business as a hair stylist and a crocheter. She owes a business, Emlit_croche and Emlit_haircare.

According to her, the business idea came into being when she purchased a crochet wear for herself, seeing the creative beauty of it she decided to start a business with it.

She stated that if one wants to start a business, then the best time is now. She also describe the challenges that comes with being an entrepreneur but she quoted that one should do the best they can at whatever they do.

In summary she advised entrepreneurs to research more about one's business, seek advices from professional people in the business world.

Miss Offonedu is an independent women who strives to be a better business woman in nearest future. She hopes her story could one day motivate other entrepreneurs.

This week on series, the CAMPUS TORI LUO team had a chat with Amakom Josephine Ifeoma, one of the latest graduate in the Department of Microbiology.

While focusing on academics, Miss Amakom has a thriving Event Planning brand.

Miss Amakom stated her business was inspired when she attended an event at Golden Tulip, Lagos where she came across an event planning company that caught her attention. Seeing how organized and composed their service was, she set out to build her own brand.

Of course there is a lot of problems associated when starting a solo business she stated, but even with these challenges she has managed to pull through and urges young entrepreneurs like her to stand steadfast in their various endeavors.

Finding a mentor and hiring an assistant are among the key advice she recommends to entrepreneurs

In conclusion, she advised that people should focus on their goals, avoid any unnecessary distraction and have the right attitude to manage money.

Miss Amakom Josephine Ifeoma owns an event planning brand, Ivytel Event and Ushering Services.

In what will become our debut feature in the series, Campus Tori LUO had a chat with Julius Emmanuel, currently a final year student of the Department of Mass Communication. In addition to thriving in higher institution, he also happens to have carved a niche in the entrepreneurial world as he is the Founder and Manager of Jullymass Enterprise.

According to Emmanuel, the business he's handling has been one that he loved from childhood due to influence from his parents who did the business passionately.

He stated that his mother played a huge role to him becoming an entrepreneur as she has always been supportive as ever.

While acknowledging the challenges in doing business, he advised young individuals who are entrepreneurs or aspiring to be, to persevere and hope for a better outcome.

Finally, he also endorsed that people should do what they are best at and most importantly, invest their money in any place of their choice as it'll go a long way to promoting them.

Mr. Emmanuel is a merchant who sells acessories like toys, teddies, home utensils etc.

The students of the department of Sociology, Legacy University, Okija made a field trip to the mysterious Ogbunike cave. The cave is located in Ogbunike, Anambra State.

It is been said that the cave served as a hideout and refuge for our ancestors during the great Biafrian war and it also has a spiritual significance attached to it. The caves are actually a system of many caves linked together by small tunnels and passages.

The students of the department we're left in awe while some said it was an horrific experience to them.

Goodness Nwokechi, a member of the team captured the moments during the trip.

𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗸𝘄𝘂𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗜𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗶 is currently a senior lecturer in the department of Mass Communication, Legacy University Okija.

Mr. Ifeanyi is an avid writer and reader whose obsession for pedagogy have pushed to publish his debut novel, "Son of the Soil".

Our media team in the institution, Campus Tori LUO came around to be the guest of this awe-inspiring man.

In our short visit to Mr. Ifeanyi, we discovered what path he has trodden in the academic world.

Mr. Ifeanyi has the following qualifications from the following institutions:
●*PhD (University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State) 2017-date
● MSc (Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State) 2012-2015
● BSc (Ebonyi State University Abakaliki) 2004-2008

He is a Member, African Council on Communication Education (ACCE) and Graduate Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) who has written multiple journals and publications.

He teaches African Communication System, Public Relations, New Media, Gender Communication and Development Communication.

So much achieved for a young man 👏🏾

His debut novel, Son of the Soil, laced with allusions of Igbo traditional heritage, is a story of ambition, persistence and reward for diligence. It introduces the reader to ideological variances of traditional and urban lifestyles.

This book is such a delight. We definitely recommend this book to other readers, most especially older teenagers, mainly because it will resonate better with them.

OFFICIAL

Prior to resumption of school activities, students are to return on Friday 18th September 2020.

You are expected to show evidence of payment of outstanding fees before gaining entrance through the gate as first semester exams for year 2, 3 and 4 begins on the 28th of September 2020.

Students are expected to return with hand sanitizer and face masks. You are also to observe social distancing during you stay in the school.

Legacy University Okija is set to resume activities on the 21st of September 2020.

All students are directed to pay their fees before resumption. The suspended first semester to take place following resumption.
