President Bola Tinubu have started well with his appointments and policies so far. He has also made a lot of significant promises like measuring the performance of each Minister every month which is very good. The economic indices now in terms of food prices, interest rate, unemployment and others are not favourable to the common man. We should show more interest in his policies and do whatever in our capacity to help him succeed as a government. The end definitely will justify the means. Let us pray more.

REV M. F. AWOMOLO IS A FATHER OF GENERATIONAL SUCCESS IN IGBAJO LAND

Rev M.F. AWOMOLO and other veterans did extremely well for his town Igbajo in Osun State. History gave account that Mr J A. AWOMOLO, Mr. Samuel Adeleke Faniyan and Deacon S. A. Fansaopo both late and teachers at First Baptist Day School in 1937 went to their saint and spiritual father, Rev. M. F. AWOMOLO to seek an advise on forming an association called Igbajo youth movement. Rev AWOMOLO fully supported this idea and brought together all available youth being the Pastor of Baptist church Iresi at that time and gave approval to the idea.

That singular idea metamorphose into Igbajo development league, resulted in creation of many other societies and has brought great development to Igbajo Land. Today, we celebrate Rev. M. F AWOMOLO and other veterans that God used to educate the people of Igbajo and place the town on the world map of great and successful people on the world.

Igbajo is located in the Boluwaduro LGA of Osun State.

ELDER DAVID ADEBAYO FABUNMI
REJECTED THE CALL TO BECOME OWA OF IGBAJO IN 1982

Elder David ADEBAYO FABUNMI is a native of Odofin Iloro at Igbajo in Osun State. He was a Frontline Deacon in Christ Apostolic Church, Latona. The Chairman of the Motor Dealers in Osogbo and the Life patron of the Red Cross Society and the Life Chairman of the Police Community relations in Osogbo during his life the.
He is a prayerful man, highly dedicated to God and the service of humanity.
He was unanimously approached by the people of Igbajo to become the Owa of Igbajo when the stool became vacant in 1982 but he humbly rejected the offer and supported his loving brother Kabiyesi major Femi Fasade to become the Owa of Igbajo Land.
On the contrary, his father, High Chief Gbenjo Bolajoko Fabunmi who contended to be the Owa of Igbajo in his lifetime was poisoned in his bid to become the king. The Fabunmi Family therefore is a foremost family in the life and history of Igbajo with several untold stories of denied royalty, selflessness, patriotism, leadership and philantrophism. May the gentle soul of Elder David ADEBAYO FABUNMI rest in peace.

2023: OUR STRUGGLE FOR SOUTHERN PRESIDENCY MUST NOT BE IN VAIN - GOV AKEREDOLU

•Says Tinubu Remains Best Choice

•Appeals To Christians Over APC’s Muslim/Muslim Ticket

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has advised that the struggle for the President of Nigeria to come from the Southern part of the country in 2023 should not be in vain.

Governor Akeredolu, who is the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, said the North can not retain power after spending eight years in office.

The Governor spoke on Sunday at the 40th Holy Ghost Convention Dinner of The Sword of the Spirit Ministries held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Agbawo, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Governor Akeredolu explained that he led his colleagues in the Southern Governors’ Forum to demand a Southern Presidency despite stiff opposition from some quarters.

He called on the people not to throw away the chances of producing the next President, particularly from the Southwest where Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu hails from.

Arakunrin Akeredolu described Tinubu as the best choice, adding that he has the experience and courage to tackle the challenges facing the country.

On the Muslim/Muslim ticket, the Governor pleaded with Christians to look beyond religion and focus on the competency of the Presidential candidate.

While stressing that the buck stops on the President’s table, the Governor added that what is important is to have a Southern President come 2023.

He said: ”I discussed with Bishop Francis Wale Oke that presidency must come to the South. Take it or leave it, it is the minimum we can get. It must come to the South. The North cannot produce President for eight years and still want to retain it for another eight years. It is not going to work.

"That is why under the Southern Governors' Forum, where, luckily, God made me the chairman, we kept harmering on that. It must come to the South. And when it also got to our party in APC,

The OWA OF IGBAJO, Oba Major Olufemi Fashade was a great preacher and prayerful king.

Major Olufemi Fashade officially became the Owa of Igbajo Land on August 3rd 1990 when the Military Governor of Oyo State, Col. SasaeniaAdedeji Oresanya granted the appeal for the appointment of the king as the new Owa of Igbajo and made a press broadcast on that date. On Sunday, 5th August 1990, his traditional installation as Oba Akeran 1V, the 29th Owa of Igbajo took place amidst pomo and pageantry.

Oba Olufemi was a born again Christian and does not belong to any secret cult during his lifetime. He sings hymns and praises regularly and a Deacon in the Nigerian Baptist Convention.

He achieved a lot during his reign in Igbajo. Many roads were constructed and he was instrumental to the establishment of Igbajo Polytechnic along with many illustrious and great Igbajo sons and daughters.

The entire Igbajo will never forget the memory of this great king who is also a faithful minister of God.
