The Executive Chairman of Mafa, Comrade Abatcha Ali Kawu said, Similar of such gesture of batch one were launched by Dr. Villita Bashir after the beneficiaries gone through some basic training at Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri, in December last year 2021.

The Chairman alongside the Council Secretary, Mohammed Lawan Sheriff Commended Dr. Vilita Bashir for her Support and care to the less privileges. Borno State is lucky to have such a great Women at the National level....

Launching the Programme, the DG advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the items, she added that all these Interventions were made possible with the support of President Muhammadu Buhari, and to Compliment the efforts of H.E Prof Babagana Umara Zulum in his quest for Reconstruction, Resettlement and Rehabilitation of the all the community in the State. The DG was accompanied by the Permanent Commissioner Local Govt Service Commission, Hajjiya Hadiza Abubakar with other Staffs of National Center for Women Development...

The Executive Chairman of Mafa, Comrade Abatcha Ali Kawu, accompanied by Member Representing Mafa at the State Assembly and Chief Whip of House, Hon Baba Ali Modu, Local Govt Secretary, Mohammed Lawan Sheriff and Heads of Dept visited the Camp to Sympathized the Victims...

Camp Chairman, Ahmodu Abatcha, took round the Stakeholders to the areas affected. He said, the fire broke out at exactly 3:40pm, the host community and the Security Agencies present were mobilized to the Scene and put the fire under control, no lives lost to the fire nor injured.

Addressing the people, Chairman Cmrd Abatcha Ali Kawu Sympathized the Victims and urged to consider it as destiny, he assured Council assistance and he would report to the higher authority for immediate intervention...

Also, Member rep mafa, Hon.Baba Ali Modu and the Council Secretary, Mohammed Lawan Sheriff expresses Shocks and deep Sadness over the incident. SYMPATHY VISIT TO MUNA IDP CAMP OVER THE FIRE OUTBREAK YESTERDAY

The executive chairman of Mafa local government Hon. Comrd. Abatcha Ali Kawu and Hon. Member house of assembly representing Mafa local government at state level Hon. Baba Ali Modu, Vice Chairman of the council Babagana Loskuri, Treasurer of the council Alh. Saleh and Councilor's paid a sympathy visit to Muna IDP Camp over the fire🔥 incident happened yesterday.

The Hon. Member house of assembly Baba Ali Modu (Abba Ali) prayed and advised those ones that lost their properties and burn their houses into ashes to take heart and remember Allah whatever condition you pick yourself.

Lastly, The council chairman tendered his sympathy to the IDPs over the unhappy incident that happened in the Camp.

National Centre for Women Development, Abuja yesterday completed its four days training at Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri at El-kanemi Hall on ICT Infrastructure and Empowerment Training for Women, Girls and Youth in six geopolitical zone (North East zone- Borno state) headed by Hon. Dr. Asabe Vilita Bashir, in attendance were the Executive Chairman of Mafa Comrade Abatcha Ali Kawu, the Secretary of Mafa local government Mohammed Lawan Sheriff, the Vice Chairman of Nganzai, the special Adviser to his Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum Mni, FNSE, on Women Development Hajiya Inna Galadima. The beneficiaries local government were Mafa in Borno Central and Nganzai in Northern Borno, the training was on Tailoring, Catering and ICT.

The Chairman said, Education is the bedrock of any meaningful development, hence the Council would not relent in providing uniforms and other necessary materials as Council is working in line with the policy trust of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum. He said, Education is among the 10 pack agenda of the state government, stressing that it's emperative to compliment the Governors efforts by enrolling the children to Schools..

The Chairman use the forum to appreciate Prof Babagana Umara Zulum for prioritizing Education in the state, pointing out that the Council has paid the registration fees of fifty students.

Earlier, The Education Secretary, Modu Umara, lauded the Chairman in supporting the Education sector and assured determination of Local Education Authority to ensure that all children are enrolled to acquire Basic education...

Food Security: Borno State Govt. Partners with Sudan for enhanced Agricultural Productivity.

The Sudan mission team with different expertise were here in Maiduguri with to partner with Borno state govt in the areas of wheat, rice and gum Arabic production. Recalled that His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum in his quest to improved Food security and means of livelihood to his people visited Sudan few months ago for collaboration towards improved Agricultural productivity.

Today, while in Mafa, the team visited Rural Urban Grazing area (RUGA) in mafa town , Rice farming area in Ajiri and Gum Arabic site. While in jere, the team visited Rice farm in Dusuman ward and had several discussions on the way forward.

The chairman of the committee who is also the former minister of Agriculture, Alh. Bukar Tijjani, who took them round together with the Commissioner of local govt and Emirate affairs, Hon. Sugun Mai Mele, Permanent Secretaries, Directors in the concern ministries, other members of the state committee and chairmen of local government Councils were also part of the tour.

The Sudan Mission team members and state committee had alot of fruits discussions on the way forward and how best the state will benefit in this partnership.

The team will continue their visit to other sites tomorrow, and will have physical interactions with stakeholders and concerned farmers in the state

Hon. Abatcha Ali Kawu flagged off of cash transfer program.

The executive chairman of Mafa local government Hon. Abatcha Ali Kawu flagged off cash transfer in Mafa town the local government headquarter, the cash transfer program set up by YESSO, over one thousand two hundred (1,200) people will be benefited from the program, each beneficiary will go home with ten thousand naira, YESSO also promised that immediately after this batch they will set another batch of same figure so that they can be benefited from the same program and same amount will be received by the beneficiaries.

At the end of the event the council chairman extended his enormous appreciation to the YESSO and all individual involved

The executive chairman of Mafa local government Hon. Abatcha Ali Kawu received 172 surrendered Boko Haram, today being 10th September, 2021 the surrendered Boko Haram members came from two different exits, they summit themselves through Mafa town and Ajiri community of Mafa local government.

The council chairman and the security agencies have done all due process and protocol of receiving surrender Boko Haram members.

Finally, the council chairman provide food items for them to use before taking them to their normal base.

Hon. Ali Abatcha Kawu received high powered committee on Health and primary education need accessement Committee Borno central.

The executive chairman of Mafa local government Hon. Abatcha Ali Kawu received the high power committee on projects and that of education Grema Trab, through the Education committee and department of monitoring evaluation and special projects and health assessment office of the executive Governor of Borno state.

The inspection led by the committee's chairman in person of Engr. Wakilbe and other members of the team, the committee inspected Mafa central primary healthcare, Hausari primary school and Mafa central primary school.

Immediately after the weekend inspection the committee, the executive chairman of the local government, the council secretary Mohammed Lawan Sheriff, and other top local government staff held a critical meeting.

Lastly, the executive chairman in his remark, point out the challenges that the local government is facing and the committee chairman were happy and understood what the local government chairman has said, the committee chairman assured the local government challenges and to look into council chairman remarks.

Finally, the council secretary Mohammed Lawan Sheriff prayed for their safe return to their respective destination.

Kurso the ward chairman limanti Mafa LGA and later proceded to mala kyariri primary school and mala kyariri primary health care to inspect the local Government staff and Local Education Authority (L.E.A) verification exercise that ongoing.

The executive chairman of Mafa local government Hon. Abatcha Ali Kawu this afternoon met with 195 battalion C.O Lt Cornel U. S.

The popuse of the meeting was on how to provide security for farmers especially in this very raining reason so that the farmers will be able to run their farming activities comfortably.

In his response, Lt cornel U.S assured the council chairman and communities that, he will provide all the maximum security within his capacity to see all the farmers will be protected during and after their farming activities.

Briefing the Chairman on the purpose of the visit, the Program Director, Yashuwa Bukar said, they're in Mafa for the enrollment of most vulnerable residents in the Community under the Cash transfer program. She added that, the total number of about eight hundred are targeted to capture in the town. Among them are children under five, elderly men and women,Pregnant women, disables and the poorest. Civil servants are excluded in this exercise..

Responding, the Chairman, Hon Abatcha Ali Kawu, showed his appreciation to the Agency for considering Mafa as one of the beneficiary. He assured to support the Staffs that were posted to carryout this very important exercise. He directed Grema Mohammed to ensure safety of the workers and to provide them with all necessary assistance during the exercise...

Also speaking, the Council Secretary, Mohammed Lawan Sheriff appealed to the workers to exercise patience with the beneficiaries as they may encounter with overcrowding and unwanted attitudes.

Hon. VISITATION OF NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION.

The executive chairman of Mafa local government Hon. Comrd. Abatcha Ali Kawu received (Girl child concern organization) NGO in Mafa town, the organization led by Dr. Mairo Madara.

Initiated by Dr. Mairo Mandara, those in attendance were The executive Chairman, secretary, treasurer and all head of departments and also L. E. A officials headed by the acting Education secretary.

Ummal-hair Usman was the national program officer and Dr. Musa Liman was the focal person of keeping girl in school program.

The aims of the organization is to create awareness among parents and teachers concerning girl child education in the LGA.

Questions were asked by the district head of Ajiri Zanna Yakub followed by the Ward Head of Mafa Central and also the principal of government girls day secondary school Mafa Central and that of Nguwom day secondary school.

Lastly, the council chairman in his speech address appreciate the aims of the Girl Child Concern organization and promise them that the local government is fully ready to coorporate and provide the necessary needs to archive the aims of Girl Child concern organization.
