Ake the film

A film adaptation of Wole Soyinka’s time- honoured classic Ake: The years of childhood in which he covers his own childhood years at the prime of Nigeria’s colonial period 1937-1945. It is set squarely within the world war II years. Soyinka combines a beautiful child-view narrative technique with direct echoes from the war as heard and imagined down in Ake-Abeokuta.
Apart from its significant peek into his first eleven years, the political import and rumbles of the war that Soyinka covers through the eyes of a child endows it with its greatest significance as both an historical and a literary text.

Directed by Dapo Adeniyi.

The annual publication is a hard-bound, coffee-table book featuring works and profiles by fashion, beauty and fashion accessory companies manifesting innovative and compelling output.

AFT is for established and emerging designers committed to upend productions.

Entries are juried and selected for upscale contribution.

Participation in the publication is in bouquets of 3, 6 and 9 pages.

Selected companies are immediately required to provide ‘selfie’ videos of their company line for communications and media outreach. A help guide will be issued.

There additionally will be an official video to be premiered at the launch and project presentation.
