As a Néw business owner who is just starting out online, it may be hard for you to build authority online but with the right plan, you are going to grow slowly and build a strong community who know, like and trust if you follow these plan:
💫Plan Content: Batch single content, info graphics and reels for a Month. Depending on your niche, follow this points - Mistakes, Myths, Trends, How to Videos.
✨Engage with top influencers and your ideal client: Go find them they in the comment sections of the influencers you follow, some use the hashtags you follow. Find and engage with them.
⚡️Do Live Videos at least once a week or twice a month if you are very busy. It helps you get familiar with your audience. Do Mini-videos on IGTV or How to videos and tutorials
💫Collaborate with other businesses and share useful information.
✨Do Free Coaching, Trainings and get testimonials to boost your credibility
⚡️Put Important details of your business on the highlight, about you, your business, services and testimonials.
Rinse and Repeat. If you do this consistently for 3 month. You will get your first to three clients depending on your service.

There are different ways to grow your brand online and you should use these strategies:
- Develop a Unique voice and Personality: A unique voice help people identify and connect more with your brand easily. The reason we can identify with different influencers or celebrities we love is because of their unique persona.
-Be Consistent with your brand across all social media Channel
- Follow top industry leaders/influencers and comment Strategically on their post. If done right, this can increase your chance of getting visibility
- Take Feedback Seriously and use it to improve your the value of your product/service.
-Use video marketing for promotions and run Ads on Successful Post to boost your visibility
- Use Social listening Tools to track, analyze and monitor conversations about your brand or industry
- Use Email Marketing to connect and reach more people.
- Use user-generated content: The use of UGC can help attract more potential client and provide more social proof for your brand/business
- Share and support Other businesses and Content creators
- Be Relatable and share your content using different IG features like IGTV, reals and stories
Do all these consistently, explore your creative side and continue to deliver value to your audience.

Mistakes are inevitable and sometimes may hinder our growth. There are certain mistakes I made when I started my business.
- Not being clear about what I do: Clarify is very important when stating out, who do you serve? what do you offer them? what are their pain points? How can you help them? Some of these questions will help you understand better who you serve?
- Not clear about your bio: A confused bio can discourage people from following you and learning from your page. Your bio should give a clear update on what you do, who you serve and how you help them.
- Not Optimizing the IG features: Many people stick to one feature they are comfortable with. While this is good, it may limit the way you reach more people and find your ideal client so embrace and explore all the features on your IG if possible😁
- Not Engaging and Collaborating with other creators: No one is an island. You need a people to grow so avoid doing everything on your own without engaging other people.
- Not Showing Up: Unless you are a big brand then you need to show up consistently. People buy from people they know, like and trust so you only get attention as often as you show up.
Avoid this five things and do the opposite instead.
