LIFE IS PERSONAL 🤔

“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” (Matthew 24:40 - 24:41 KJV)

We have companions at different times in life, but we obtain different outcomes from our projects.

We have classmates, we obtain different results.
We have work colleagues, we have different success rates.

These differences may be due to things within or beyond our making. Our efforts, attitudes and expectations vary. God’s plan and destinies vary.

It pays us best to do our best and obtain the best possible results in all aspects of our lives. There is no partnership in life’s outcomes.

Life is personal. 🌼🌷

Taking notes is so powerful!

Capture your thoughts on paper. Ideas and insights will drop in from time to time. Capture them on paper before you forget.

My professor once told me, “Always have a paper and pen with you“.

When you read your Bible, have your paper and pen with you. Also when you read other books.

VISIONS AND DREAMS

Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18)

What is vision? (Two dictionary meanings)
1. Seeing with your eyes. Also called sight.
2. Seeing into the future with the mind’s eye. Also called insight. We have the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination.

Which of these meanings of vision do we think that the bible is referring to in Proverbs 29:18? Lack of sight or insight?

Your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. (Acts 2:17b)

What are dreams? (Also 2 kinds of dreams)
1. Like a story or movie that plays out in your sleep. (in the bible, God spoke to people through dreams – Joseph, Jacob, Pharoah, etc).
2. A fantasy or a desire for the future. (my dream is to become a pilot, etc)

God can speak to you through dream. You can also have your own dream.

What is your vision for your life? What do you dream about?

SEE JESUS IN EVERYONE 🌷

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

🤷🏽‍♀️If Jesus lost His way and came across you, will you help Him find His way?

🤷🏽If Jesus is your employer, will you give Him your best service?

🤷🏽‍♀️If Jesus is your employee, will you give Him good working condition? Will you pay Him regularly?

IMPOSSIBLE COCONUT PIE 🥧 RECIPE

This pie recipe is called ‘impossible’ because it is made from one mixture which separates into three layers as it bakes - a soft bottom crust, a custard-like middle, and a crispy coconut topping.

INGREDIENTS

• 4 large eggs 🥚 🥚 🥚🥚
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup flour (up to 3/4 cup, depending on preference)
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt 🧂
• 2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup melted butter 🧈
• 2 cups milk 🥛🥛
• 1+1/4 cups desiccated coconut 🥥

Mix all ingredients in a blender. You may choose to add the coconut after blending, if you want it more chunky.

Pour mixture into a greased pie pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 55-60 minutes.

GOD’S WRITTEN LEGAL DOCUMENT - HIS WILL

If your rich parents, uncle , aunt, etc leaves a will stating your inheritance, will you read it? Regardless of how many pages? Regardless of how busy you are at your job? I will say that the more the pages, the more it contains information on my inheritance and the happier I should be.

The Bible is God’s will (mind) for us. It is also His will (legal document) showing our inheritance.

One dictionary meaning of a TESTAMENT is “a person's will, especially the part relating to personal property.”

With this understanding, do we need anyone to encourage us to read the bible for ourselves? Should we be satisfied with a few verses a day? Do we depend on a preacher to show us all that it contains?

🎁 The more you search, the more you find, the more you inherit.

ACTS OF FAITH

John 2:1-10 tells the story of a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine finished, His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it.

When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from. The master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”

QUESTION:
Would you have gladly taken the water to the master of the feast?

Luke 17:11-19 says that as Jesus was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, ‘Jesus, Master, have pity on us!’ When he saw them, he said, ‘Go, show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were cleansed.

Jesus is not physically present with us now but the scripture is the word of God to us. It is full of instructions for us to follow, so that God’s power will manifest in our lives and circumstances.

🌺 God wants us to step out and act as if we have already gotten our desires and it will be so.

Help us Lord to act according to your word 🙏🏽.

HOW MUCH CAN YOU BELIEVE GOD FOR? 🤷🏽‍♀️

In the Bible, a story was told of a widow of a prophet. The prophet owed someone money before he died. His creditor wanted to take his sons as slaves as the repayment for the loan.

The widow cried out to Elisha who asked her to borrow many vessels from her neighbours. God performed a miracle. The little oil that the widow had was poured into the vessels. It flowed and filled all the vessels, then stopped. Elisha asked her to sell the oil and repay the debt (2 Kings 4: 1-25).

🌹How much can you believe God for?

If you know that the oil will fill all the vessels, how many vessels will you borrow?

How big is your vision? What do you want God to do for you?

🌺🌻 How much can you believe God for??

DON’T ❌ SPEAK UNBELIEF

“And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.” (Luke 1:18- 20 KJV)

❌ Don’t speak unbelief or doubt 😩.
✅ ✅ It is better to say nothing 🤐.
✅✅ ✅ It is best to speak positively😄😎🏝️🌺.

When you speak unbelief, you send away the answers to your prayers.

When you speak positively (in faith), you hasten your answers.

When we engage in unhealthy competitions with others, we spend time and energy which we should have used in pursuing our own vision.

Running in front of another person means entering that person’s lane. This will lead to disqualification. Your prize awaits you at the end of your race on your lane, others not withstanding.

FOCUS 👀😎

Many competitions are distractions.

GET WISDOM, GET UNDERSTANDING (PROVERBS 4:5) 💐

­🌺 Study success. If you do what successful people do, you too will be successful.

­🌼 Have written goals for the day, week, month, year, etc. A written goal is like
having a track to run on. It helps you to avoid distractions. An unwritten goal is a mere wish. Only 3% of adults have written goals and they achieve more than the 97% who don't.

­🌸 Incorporate good habits into your daily routine. Everyday, do something that gets you closer to your goal.

­🌷Direction determines destination. You cannot change your life until you change something that you do every day.

­🌻 Everyday, serve someone. No one is useless; everyone can lighten the burden of others. Add value to people.

­🌹The happiest people are the ones who serve others. Everyone can be great because everyone can serve.

­🌼 Be a good student, not a follower. Take advice not orders. Get all the information that you can, then make up your mind. Make sure that what you decide to do is your own conclusion and not what someone else said.

🌸 To become financially independent, spend less than you earn, save and invest.

🌺 Keep record of your spending. Track your money and the time that you spend on different activities. Don't be busy; be productive.
