Discouragement can set in.

But God's word to you this morning is "run with patience the race set before you."

And this also means we all have our individual races to run, races customized with us in mind so don't you dare think you are the only one running in that peculiar race. We are many and we are all in this for the honour, the victory and price that comes after winning and above all for the glorification of Jesus Christ.

I know that while alot of people are basking in the euphoria of Christmas tidings and anticipating the relief from work and relax with family and friends mood the holidays brings ...
-
there are those who don't feel any of these excitement at all.
-
It is for you that I'm posting this.
Yes life has been hard,

you've had the roughest of experiences this year

family abandoned you

friends disappointed you

You lost a loved one

you lost money because of Covid 19

Business failed

You couldn't smash the goals you excitedly set in 2019

What else???

Maybe nothing yielded for you except that all you have left has been breathing.

I just want you to know that you are not alone, God is aware of all the troubles you've had to go through and He loves you even though you can feel it right now.

I spent most of this year in the hospital with my mom, I lost her when I thought healing was in sight.

Business didn't yield as I desired this year either.

There were family members and friends who didn't come through as I would have done for them, had it been them in my shoes.

2020 has exactly been a sweet one BUT God has been Faithful to me, I heard him say I am not alone.

And I know that you are not alone either.

And I just need to remind you. You are not alone, it will be alright. It's a season, it will pass and you will be okay.

God still loves you dearly and has his arms wrapped around you, decide to receive and feel His love right now.

Someone here has been struggling to return to Jesus but she thinks her sins are to big for God to forgive.
Sister, God wants you to know that His love for you is endless and He still wants you. Return to your Father, He is waiting arms-wide-open to receive you.

I remembered that I bought 'aya' during break in school early that day. and I decided to eat it in secret while we played under the full moon. So it was in my pocket as we played and from time to time, I'd just sneek in a good amount into my mouth and chew silently. No one noticed, my siblings didn't notice, so no one begged me for my 'aya' (tigernut).
So I enjoyed my thing alone.

When I was done eating, I started active play with the other children and my siblings in the compound, just as we were playing, I rubbed my hands on the mat and noticed a ball of aya. "maybe this one fell from my pocket while I pulling it out of my pocket" I thought, and I picked it and quickly threw it into my mouth.

NEXT thing I remember was me screaming, "goat s**t! Goat s**t!" As I ran towards the tap in the compound, spitting profusely and focusing myself to throw up. That was how everyone finally got to know I had been chewing on aya under their nose without them noticing.

Nobody felt for me, my mom called me stingy, my siblings sang 'ntorrrr' 😏😏 to me and they were telling me something like "good for you!"

Since that day, I never ate anything in the dark again. Even if I am eating now, and power goes out, I will go get a source of light to flash my plate of food very well.

MORALE OF THE STORY:👇🏽
See EHN, sometimes you think what you are doing is enjoying yourself in SECRET and keeping everybody else out of your business but you will soon eat goat p**p. And by the time, you realise it, no one will sympathise with you.

Aunty bring out your 'Aya' and eat in the light so that you will not bite on goat s**t o.

That was how an old friend of mine thought she had hit a contract in millions of naira with some guys who offered to do one kain business with her, she hid it from me and the others because she probably wanted to be the millionaire among us and probably be the small big girl in town so she didn't share the gist or even discuss its authenticity with us.
Well that's how she got duped of the 250k she was saving.

Meanwhile, we didn't even know she had such amount on her. 1 of us had asked her to borrow her 2k for the weekend but she said she didn't have it. But👇

I know y'all be thinking that MY MOTHER SAID MENTALITY (MMS Mentality) is a mentality found only in a Mummy's girl or boy but should I burst your bubble and shake this table small? Here is it👇🏽

If you constantly can not make decisions on your own without asking someone to help you decide on any and every matter, you have this MMS mentality.

If you do not always trust your own judgement, you have MMS mentality.

If your values, standards and beliefs are mostly based on what you were taught and not based on your personal conviction, Aunty, you have this mentality.

In other words, anytime you are asked why you have taken a certain decision on a particular matter, you response is usually around: 👇🏽

He told me it is the best thing to do.

My friend also acted that way that's why I want to also ....

My Mother said I should ....

That is what everyone else is doing...

And so on!

Do you think you might have been operating in this mentality as a grown woman?

Do you know someone else who is struggling to stop doing this?

Do you know a sister who is dating a man with this mentality?

A horn is a protuding part of an animal used as a weapon of attack. In the bible horn means power, glory, strength, royal authority, enabling power, honor, dignity, and dominion. Therefore to have one’s horn exalted denotes prosperity, triumph, and victory.

Delare that your horn is exalted!

The sign the David had been exalted to the throne was God commanding Samuel to go anoint him in his father's house.

Also declare that you are anointed for that elevation.

I pray for you today, MAY YOU BE VICTORIOUS! THE ENEMY WILL NOT PREVAIL OVER YOU!
