Baba Left a Remarkable Legacy, a Vacuum That Cannot Be Filled – Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan Mourns Badagry APC Apex Leader, Pa Akinsanya Sunny Àjọṣe

Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry Federal Constituency, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Pa Akinsanya Sunny, a revered elder statesman and the Apex Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

In a heartfelt statement, Hon. Whingan described the late Pa Akinsanya as a father figure, a visionary leader, and a custodian of values who dedicated his life to the progress and unity of the Badagry community.

“Baba left a remarkable legacy, a vacuum that cannot be filled. His wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the development of Badagry will forever remain etched in our hearts,” Hon. Whingan stated.

He further noted that Pa Akinsanya’s contributions to the political and social development of Badagry were unparalleled. “As the Apex Leader of APC in Badagry and Lagos State, he was a unifying force who inspired generations of leaders with his selflessness and exemplary leadership. His demise is not just a loss to his family but to all of Badagry and the APC family of Lagos State.”

Hon. Whingan extended his condolences to the Akinsanya family, the APC community, and the entire people of Badagry, urging everyone to uphold Baba’s values of peace, unity, and service to humanity.

“While we mourn his departure, we must also celebrate the impactful life he lived and honor his memory by continuing the work he so passionately believed in,” he concluded.

The death of Pa Akinsanya Sunny marks the end of an era in Badagry politics, leaving a legacy that will inspire generations to come.

The traditional ruler of Ikoga-Zebbe, a community in Badagry Aholu Sano of Ikoga-Zebbe kingdom, Aholu Jimoh Fabiyi, De-Ovitotode Toyi 1, has described a tradition dance ‘Jeke’ as a symbol of unity, peace and togetherness.

De-Ovitotode disclosed this in a brief Interview with LTV News Men, the third year anniversary of Relaunched Jeke Dances in Ikoga-Zebbe, Badagry.
According to him, this is a form of bond that brings us together, it was established by our fore-fathers to bring all the inhabitants of the community living outside and within together.
