I don't know what people stands to gain from spreading fake news. This morning, in one of my platforms, an argument ensued where someone that should know better decided to play politics with the lives of people.

The person whose name I won't mention here brought a conjecture written by an unknown gang "Osun E-warrior", claiming authoritatively that in the Iragbiji bank robbery attack that happened two days ago, four students of Iree Polytechnic were killed, forgetting that the platform houses men of high intellect.

He was asked to present evidence or source of his information, he started blabbing, claiming that he derived nothing from spewing fake information, that truly students were killed.

Journalists that are member on the loop told the poser emphatically that nothing of such happened, he refused to agree. A member who is also a social commentator and security expert swung into action, conducted another round of investigation to unravel what actually happened as he called the school media officer to ascertain if truly students were killed. Lo and behold, his response was that nothing of such happened, he even went further to puncture the rumor, saying "If such happens, the school wouldn't have been so peaceful as we speak".

Sadly, the poser seems not to understand the implication of the conjecture he was spreading all around, claiming that four students of Iree were killed all in the name of playing politics. Imagine the kind of panic that conjecture must have caused to the public, most especially the family of those who have children in that school.
Let's be mindful of what we feed our audience with.

Let me use this medium to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the officers that were killed, may God give the family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
